93 WRANGLER, BODY IS MINT WITH NEW FENDERS, HOOD,WINDSHIELD FRAME, TUB IS WRAPPED IN 1/4 STEEL CALLED BODY ARMOUR, TRUCK HAS BEEN SEALED BUT NOT PAINTED, THIS IS THE WAY I WAS GOING TO LEAVE IT, FLAT BLACK AND LOOKS REAL NICE, IF YOU WANTED TO PAINT IN WOULD BE REAL EASY TO SAND AND SPRAY. HAD NEW ROCKERS WELDED IN AND SIDE STEPS. HARD TOP IS IN REAL NICE SHAPE WITH A WORKING LEAK FREE SUN ROOF. ALL THREE SEATS ARE BRAND NEW, NEW CARPETING, IF YOU WANT TO REMOVE THE INSIDE FLOORS ARE RHINO LINED. DASH AND THE REST OF THE INTERIOR IS IN REAL NICE SHAPE TOO! ON THE TRUCK ARE FULL DOORS IN MINT SHAPE AND ALSO HAVE HALF DOORS THAT ARE MINT AND ALSO IN SEALER, I DO HAVE A SOFT TOP THAT GOES ALONG WITH THIS TOO THAT APPEARS TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE, NO TEARS OR RIPS, JUST NOT SURE IF ALL HARDWARE IS THERE IVE NEVER HAD IT ON, IT DOES COME WITH THE FRAMING TOO. ON THE TRUCK IS A SET OF 33X12.5X15 ON ALUMINUM CEPEX WHEELS THAT ARE MINT, TIRES PASSED INSPECTION BUT ONE OF THEM IS PRETTY WORN. I DO ALSO HAVE A SET OF 31/12.5/15 THAT ARE LIKE NEW MOUNTED ON STEEL WHEELS MADE BY PRO TECH, VERY AGGRESSIVE. JEEP HAS A 4 INCH SUSPENSION LIFT DONE WITH SPRINGS, SHACKLES AND SHOCKS. JEEP STARTS AND RUNS VERY WELL BUT I WILL SAY THAT AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES OR SO IT WILL START TO TICK A LITTLE, NOT BAD AND DOESENT AFFECT PERFORMANCE, MAYBE A DIFFERENT THICKER OIL WILL FIX THAT. JEEP DOES DRIVE PRETTY GOOD BUT MAY EVENTUALLY NEED SOME STEEERING COMPONENTS AND ALIGNMENT, CLUTCH IS GOOD, TRANNY SHIFTS GOOD IF YOU EASY ON HER, CINCROS IN THIRD GEAR MAY BE WORN, SHIFTS FINE WHEN GOIN G THROUGH THE GEARS JUST WHEN YOUR DOWN SHIFTING FROM FOURTH TO THIRD SHE GRINDS A LITTLE. IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO CHANGE I DO HAVE AN EXTRA TRANNY THAT WILL DROP RIGHT IN THAT IS GOOD FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD. 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS GREAT WITH NO ISSUES. FRAME IS SOLID AND IS UNDERCOATED, ALL IN ALL IN REAL NICE JEEP THAT JUST NEEDS A LITTLE TINKERIN WITH BUT IS DEFIANTLY DRIVABLE THE WAY SHE SITS.

NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
