1990 Jeep Wrangler. I have included many pictures to show the condition of the Jeep. Black wheels with 31 10.5 15 tires with good tread. Newer tan top with tinted windows. Hard half doors with nice zipper uppers. All windows are nice and pliable not hard or cracked. This is a nice solid Jeep that can be driven as is or fixed up into a trail rig or cruiser. Clean starting point and virtually unmolested, not someone else's mess. The Jeep shifts nice in all gears as well as reverse. Engine starts right up and runs well with no hiccups. The carpet has been removed as it was rather worn out. Floor pans are solid. The frame is in great condition with no rot. The body is solid and has only had one spot patched (see picture, driver side front quarter, the size of baseball or a bit smaller.) The Pioneer stereo is brand new and has a remote, usb input for ipod, and EQ. Seats are well worn with ok covers on them, they do slide forward and back. It has a lockable center console with front and rear cup holders and storage. I removed the fenders so you could see there was no rust hiding under them and then put them back on. It has a "Hidden Hitch" brand hitch in the back with a 2" receiver. There are fog lights installed to make it easier backing up at night that are controlled by a switch in the cab. There is a winch mount style bumper installed on the front with 2 heavy duty tow hooks also. The front fender extensions had a few dings in them so I installed smoked acrylic guards on them. They can be taken off and put back on. Nice solid tubular steel nerf bar/side steps installed. This is a 23 year old Jeep and the paint shows it's age, especially on the hood. It could use a professional buffing/polishing. It looks a bit better in the pictures than in person. I try to disclose everything and am not trying to hide anything. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I have had several YJs in my time and am very familiar with them. I ask that the winning bidder send a deposit of $250 within 48 hours of auction's end or item will be relisted. I will give the winner my number to arrange for pick up or I can deliver to a distance within reason for some gas money (contact me first). Thanks!

Stellantis expects strike to cost it $795 million in third-quarter profits
Tue, Oct 31 2023MILAN — Automaker Stellantis said Tuesday that the autoworkers strike in North America is expected to cost the company around 750 million euros ($795 million) in profits — less than its North American competitors. The Europe-based maker of Jeep, Fiat and Peugeot reported a 7% boost in net revenues to 45.1 billion euros, with production halts caused by the strikes costing the company 3 billion euros in sales through October. The net revenue boost was due to higher volumes in all markets except Asia. Chief Financial Officer Natalie Knight told journalists that StellantisÂ’ strike impact was lower than the other Big Three automakers due to its global profile as well as some high-profile cost-cutting measures, calculating the hit at around 750 million euros ($795 million.) GM, the last carmaker to reach a deal to end the strike, reported an $800 million strike hit. Ford has put its impact at $1.3 billion. “We continue to be in a very strong position globally and in the U.S. This is an important market for us, and weÂ’re highly profitable and we are very committed to our future," Knight said. “But mitigation is core to how we act, and how we proceed.” Stellantis has canceled appearances at the CES technology show in Las Vegas next year as well as the LA Auto Show, due to the strike impact. Stellantis on Saturday reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers Union to end a six-week strike by more than 14,000 workers at its assembly plants in Michigan and Ohio, and at parts warehouses across the nation. Stellantis does not report full earnings for the third quarter, instead providing shipments and revenues. It said that global sales of electric vehicles rose by 37% over a year earlier, powered by the Jeep Avenger and commercial vehicle sales. North America continued to be the revenue leader, contributing 21.5 billion euros, an increase of 2% over last year, and representing nearly half of global revenues. Europe, the next biggest performing region, saw revenues grow 5% to 14 billion euros, as sales rose 11%. Related video: Earnings/Financials UAW/Unions Alfa Romeo Chrysler Dodge Fiat Jeep Maserati RAM
New Jeep Wrangler pickup spy shots reveal suspension and tire details
Wed, May 17 2017Most of the spy shots we've received of the Wrangler pickup have been from a bird's-eye perspective. However this time, one of our spy photographers got up close to the truck at ground level. The new view shows us some interesting details regarding the truck's suspension, as well as the placement of the spare tire. Immediately evident is that the Wrangler pickup will have the same sort of suspension design as its SUV sibling. Solid axles are employed at the front and rear, and it appears that the rear axle is coil-sprung, since there are no leaf springs nor shackles present underneath. The photos also reveal that the truck won't have a tailgate-mounted spare tire like the SUV. Instead, it will have a more traditional truck location beneath the bed. Few other new details can be seen from the spy photos. This prototype sports the same production-style bed we've previously seen. The photos also really show just how long this Wrangler pickup is. With such a long wheelbase and rear overhang, the pickup will have more difficulty with hills than the bed-less versions. Of course, it will also be able to carry more than those Wranglers. We expect it go on sale in late 2019 based on previous reports. Related Video:
Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.
