1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
About twice a year Grand Wagoneer's of this color (Spninnaker Blue) come up for sale on eBay.
About once every other year you might find one in this color and in this kind of shape somewhere on-line.
I know. I've owned six Grand Wagoneer's over the last 10 years.
I purchased this truck in fair condition from the second owner in North Carolina back in November of 2012.
It's been lovingly restored by two professional shops since then.
I am selling it for exactly what I have into it. Well honestly, I'm selling it for less than I have into it but don't tell my wife. I'm happy to show serious buyers all of my receipts AND put you in touch with both the body shop and mechanics who did all the work on the Jeep.
In addition I have the original owner's contact information ( he owned it from 1988- 2012).
The former owner changed out the headliner. The new headliner is in great shape and the colors match the interior very well.
I have the original window sticker as well as his notebook containing every dollar (other than gas) that he ever spent on the Jeep, as well as the date and the description of the repair! WOW!
This vehicle is now in EXCELLENT shape. It doesn't need a thing! Everything and I mean EVERYTHING operates as it should. The ride is smooth and quiet on the road even at 75 MPH.
Steering is straight and true. it's a pleasure to drive and of course it turns a lot of heads. I've had literally dozens of people tell me it's the most beautiful car they have ever seen!
The former owner must have used seat covers and floor mats because I'd swear the carpet and seats look brand new. Really. Even the drivers seat. Even the rear corners of the cargo area carpet.
All new brake work, all new ball joints, all new wood grain vinyl and wood grain trim. New Blue Tooth radio, New fully functioning rear cargo window, rebuilt gas tank.
One fender was rusted and replaced. it has a new fan clutch assembly, fuel pump, fuel sending unit, the rear transfer case was repaired, the drivers side window motor was replaced, exhaust manifolds were replaced,, etc.
I'm happy to take pictures of anything on the Jeep for your inspection.
I'd URGE any serious buyer to have the car inspected (or I'll be happy to take it to any shop in or around Everett, WA. that you'd like) .
Sorry no trades. I would consider holding the car for a few months but only with a non refundable deposit of no less than $10K.
On May-13-13 at 09:28:26 PDT, seller added the following information:
The engine was replaced when the truck had 66,000 miles on it. That means the current engine only has 36,000 miles on it. Also, contact me at pauld@construx.com for more pictures.

Chrysler set to make $266M-investment into 8-speed transmission production
Wed, Dec 10 2014Chrysler will shortly make a significant $266-million investment into its Kokomo, IN transmission factory in a bid to expand production of its eight-speed automatic transmissions. The gearboxes, which are built under license from Germany's ZF Friedrichshafen, have been well received by customers and critics, and according to an SEC filing obtained by Automotive News, the transmissions will eventually find their way to all of Chrysler's rear-drive offerings (Viper and heavy-duty Ram models, aside). According to AN, a Chrysler spokesman says the investment has not been confirmed, but once it is, it'll mark the company's latest in a growing line of investments at the facility. Chrysler has poured $1.5 billion into Kokomo since 2009.
Sunday Drive: A tale of old favorites and upcoming challengers
Sun, Oct 8 2017Sedans and crossovers dominated the attention of our readers last week, led by the completely redesigned 2018 Honda Accord. It's the Japanese automaker's flagship, and people are seriously interested in finding out how good the latest Accord is. So interested, in fact, that no other single story came close to the brand-new Accord in Autoblog reader interest. Moving down the list we find the equally new 2018 Buick Enclave. The three-row crossover has a lot to offer a family, especially one looking for a nice, quiet ride. If you're looking for the exact opposite of nice and quiet, but still want enough room for you and your significant others, the Subaru WRX that we tested last week may be the perfect ride for you. Or, if you just want to drive fast and aren't at all worried about space, there's the Camaro SS. See? We offer something for everybody. From there, we look to the future. Who isn't interested in seeing the first fully electric vehicle from Porsche? And who isn't intrigued to see the Mission E testing alongside a gaggle of Teslas? A brand-new Jeep is always a big deal, especially when it's the revival of a classic nameplate like the Grand Wagoneer. And finally, we have something completely different: the Rezvani Tank. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2018 Honda Accord First Drive | Feels like home again 2018 Buick Enclave First Drive Review | Fortress of quietude 2018 Subaru WRX Drivers' Notes | Turbo traditionalist 2018 Chevy Camaro SS Drivers' Notes | Demonstrative power, middling interior Porsche Mission E caught testing against Teslas Jeep three-row SUV caught on public roads — Grand Wagoneer, perhaps? Weekly Recap: Hackers demonstrate auto industry's vulnerability
Sat, Jul 25 2015There's always been a certain risk associated with driving, and this week cyber security came into focus as the latest danger zone when researchers demonstrated how easily they could hack into a 2014 Jeep Cherokee from across the country. The incident raised concerns over the vulnerability of today's cars, many of which double as smartphones and hot spots. During the now-infamous experiment, Chris Valasek and Charlie Miller infiltrated the Jeep's cellular connection and were able to control the infotainment system, brakes, and other functions. The hackers told the Jeep's maker, FCA US, of their findings last year, the company devised a software fix. Though Valesek and Miller hacked a Cherokee (like the one shown above), several FCA products, including recent versions of the Ram, Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango, and Viper were also affected, illustrating potentially wide exposure that could reverberate across the sector. "For the auto industry, this is a very important event and shows that cyber-security protection is needed even sooner than previously planned," Egil Juliussen, senior analyst and research director for IHS Automotive, wrote in a research note. "Five years ago, the auto industry did not consider cyber security as a near-term problem. This view has changed." Hours after the Cherokee hacking incident was publicized on Tuesday, Sens. Ed Markey (D-Mass) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn) introduced legislation to direct the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Federal Trade Commission to establish national standards for automotive cyber security. The bill also would require vehicles to have a cyber-rating system to alert consumers how well their cars' privacy and security are defended. "Drivers shouldn't have to choose between being connected and being protected," Markey said in a statement. "We need clear rules of the road that protect cars from hackers and American families from data trackers." Though FCA and its Jeep Cherokee were in the spotlight this time, they were just the latest to showcase how automotive technology has advanced faster than safety and regulatory measures. IHS forecasts 82.5 million cars will be connected to the internet by 2022, which is more than three times today's level. "Cyber-security will become a major challenge for the auto industry and solutions are long overdue," Juliussen said.
