Here is an absolutely drop dead gorgeous 1984 Jeep Grand Wagoneer in very nicely restored condition inside and out. This Jeep is a Denver, Colorado truck but was used sparingly during winter and was also undercoated so has been kept rust free. This is one of the neatest Wagoneers's I have ever seen and has been extremely well preserved and always garaged.

The body on the Jeep is totally solid and rust free. I have inspected the body and cannot find a single spot of rust or repair patches whatsoever. The paint on the car is brand new and finished in gorgeous and rare Bright White. The paint is literally as nice as the day it rolled off the lot, and the new decals are beautiful and really pop against the white paint. The truck has been undercoated in the wheel wells with a spray foam type insulation which was the industry standard in Colorado during the Mid 80s. It has done an excellent job keeping the rust away, and not even a pea bubble is showing anywhere! The rubber seals are all in very nice shape and the jeep seals up perfect. The bumpers were just high polished and look like new! The Jeep looks AWESOME !!!!

The interior is in great shape all around. The tan seats are all in very good shape and look great. The headliner and visors were just beautifully redone and look excellent. All dials and controls function as they should and are illuminated at night. The dashboard is in excellent shape with no cracks. Original carpet is excellent with no rips or ware. All door panels and wood grain are excellent. The original cassette player is still in place and sounds good for its age. Even the original Jeep floor mats are still with the truck and in great condition!

Mechanically, this Wagoneer runs GREAT! The car starts right up and shifts quite easily. The 5.9L engine has been fully tuned up with oil change and runs like a top! The 4x4 system functions perfectly. The engine compartment was fully detailed and cleaned. It is ALL ORIGINAL under the hood, and I didn't want to take away from the originality by doing any painting or unnecessary upgrades. The jeep is tight as a drum and doesn't leak a drop of anything. It also has its factory jacking equipment. The Jeep runs awesome and it is evident that this Jeep was always well maintained and a lot of money has been spent on upkeep. Unfortunately this Jeep came out of an estate and the original owner had passed away so no maintenance records could be produced. But judging how tight and leak free this Jeep is, and how it never hesitates to fire right up, I would assume an open checkbook policy was always the situation here.

All in all, this is one of the cleanest and well restored Jeeps that I have had the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved by its previous owners. China-market Jeep Grand Commander coming to U.S. as a Chrysler?

There's nothing like winding down the year with news to spin heads, eh? Allpar cites "sources" as suggesting the Chinese-market Jeep Grand Commander will come to the U.S. as a Chrysler. This Speculation with a capital "S" has several rationales. The late Sergio Marchionne said Chrysler will focus on utility and not sell cars, making it fit for a new three-row crossover. The road-focused Grand Commander couldn't live up to U.S. perceptions of Jeep values, which is why the lateral brand move. A new model would give the Pentastar a second nameplate alongside the Pacifica, since the 300 sedan dies come 2020. And a big Chrysler school runner would allow the near-immortal Dodge Journey to end its life with something approaching dignity. The Grand Commander, a stretched version of our Cherokee with three rows, uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 231 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The 192-inch long SUV is ten inches longer than the Cherokee, and 2.2 inches longer than the Grand Cherokee. Carmakers bring a host of not-for-U.S. metal over here, so this doesn't signal production intent, but sharp eyes caught the Grand Commander on Michigan streets in March. The white high-rider carried its Chinese badging, and was bereft of camo other than tape over the door handles. Allpar says a domestic version wouldn't be built in China, but either in the Belvidere, Ill. plant that builds the Cherokee, or in facilities in Windsor, Canada or Toluca, Mexico. Should these events come to pass, Chrysler would soon have four models: Pacifica, a production version of Portal concept, a crossover based on the Pacifica, and the rebranded Jeep. Ready for more? Allpar also says there are "rumors of a Chrysler-badged crossover version of [the Dodge] Charger." FCA leaving Chrysler and Dodge out of the FCA five-year roadmap earlier this year leaves a vacuum ripe for, shall we say, Chinese whispers. We're not saying all of this won't happen, but put these prognostications in one place and it starts to read like a wrinkle in time, it's all so fabulous. Remember, the last we heard about the Dodge Journey, it was going to become an Alfa Romeo-based performance crossover headed to dealerships next year. Jeep beefs up the Wrangler Rubicon with 2017 Recon Edition hardware

The Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock is dead. Don't worry; the 2017 Rubicon Recon is heading to showrooms soon to take its place, and judging by what it's packing you'll hardly miss the Hard Rock. Essentially, this is a Rubicon with some beefed-up bits underneath and a few special cosmetic tweaks, a bit like the outgoing Hard Rock. Up front, there's a stronger Dana 44 with strengthened tubes and heavy-duty end forgings. Likewise, the front and rear differentials get stronger cast covers than the Hard Rock's stamped ones. The ratios are the same, with 4.10:1 front and rear ratios, Tru-Lok locking diffs, and a Rock-Trac transfer case. There's also a half-inch lift. Cosmetically, there are new 17-inch wheels exclusive to the Recon equipped with 32-inch BF Goodrich KM tires, and the rock rails have been reshaped to allow owners to fit 35-inch tires without interference. The Recon also adds red seatbelts and stitching, something you haven't been able to get in a Wrangler before, a Jeep rep told us. If that's what you were waiting for to get into a Wrangler Rubicon, well, there you go. There's also the special-edition farkles you'd expect: a dashboard plaque the fender badge, and a unique gauge cluster treatment. The two-door Recon will start at $40,140 and the four door at $43,940 – that's compared to the base Rubicon, which starts at $34,190 in two-door form. So, the Recon represents a nearly $6,000 premium over the base Rubicon and a $1,150 premium over the outgoing Hard Rock. It'll be available in dealers at the end of this month. Related Video:
