  • 4.2L I6 258 HAS BEEN REBUILT APPROX. 30K MILES AGO BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER SO I DONT KNOW THE SPECIFICS ON EXACTLY HOW LONG AGO IT WAS AND EVERYTHING.  IT IS DOES RUN PRETTY GOOD BUT DOES HAVE SOME MINOR ISSUES LIKE HAS A EXHAUST LEAK WHERE PIPE MEETS MANIFOLD MAY NEED A NEW GASKET.
  • BRAND NEW WEBER 32/36 CARB WAS JUST INSTALLED ABOUT A WEEK AGO.  DOES NEED SOME MINOR ADJUSTMENT STILL IS RUNNING A LITTLE RICH.  I WAS WAITING ON THE WEATHER TO CLEAR SO I CAN ADJUST TO FINE TUNE HER.
  • BRAND NEW BORLA EXHAUST JUST INSTALLED FROM CAT BACK W/ CHROME TIP.  AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED BORLA IS THE BEST EXHAUST ON THE MARKET.
  • THE JEEP HAS BEEN LIFTED 2.5" I BELIEVE IT WAS A SKYJACKER LIFT KIT.  THIS WAS DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER SO I AM UNSURE EXACTLY HOW MUCH AND WHICH BRAND.  EITHER WAY IT IS REALLY NICE LOOKING IN THE PICS.
  • VERY AGGRESSIVE TIRES AND WHEELS AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS.
  • 8500LB WINCH W/ REMOTE CONTROL (NOT THAT YOU WILL NEED IT BECAUSE THIS BABY IS AWESOME OFF RODE).
  • TUB HAS BEEN RHINO LINED FOR EXTRA PROTECTION IN CASE YOU LIKE TO TAKE THE DOORS OFF AND GO SERIOUS MUDDIN.
  • I HAVE A HARD TOP AND SOFT TOP FOR HER W/ HARD DOORS(BLACK GREAT CONDITION) W/ SOFT DOORS WHICH YOU SEE IN THE PICS THAT ARE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE.
  • NEWER DEEP CYCLE BATTERY ABOUT A YEAR OLD
  • CARPET IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE
  • NEOPRENE SEATS FOR THAT EXTRA PROTECTION WHICH ARE IN OK SHAPE
  • BODY HAS BEEN PAINTED BY PREVIOUS OWNER.  DOES HAVE SOME MINOR FLAWS IN THE PAINT WHICH I THINK WAS BAD PREP AND CAN BE EASILY REPAIRED BY A QUALIFIED PAINTER.  ALL IN ALL THE PAINT IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE.
  • INTERIOR IS IN REALLY GOOD SHAPE AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICS.
  • I HAVE A SET OF FENDER FLARES FOR IT AND A HAYNES MANAUL WHICH ARE BOTH INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION.

THIS JEEP IS A REAL EYE CATCHER AND I KNOW WHOEVER GETS IT WILL GET ALOT OF ENJOYMENT OUT OF HER.  I JUST WISH I DIDNT HAVE TO LET HER GO.  I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE BEFORE YOU BID OR IF YOU LIVE LOCAL AND WANT TO DRIVE HER YOU ARE WELCOME TO DO SO.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE PICTURES PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK AND I CAN EMAIL YOU ANY YOU WOULD WANT TO SEE.  PLEASE DO NOT BID ON IT IF YOU ARE NOT INTENDING ON BUYING IT I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY TIRE KICKERS WHEN IT COMES TO PICKING IT UP.  THIS AUCTION HAS BEEN LISTED ACCURATE, AND ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION AND I WISH YOU LUCK HAPPY BIDDING!

Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver is a more rugged Trailhawk

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

We briefly mentioned the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver that was heading to SEMA last week when discussing the Mopar lineup set to be shown in Las Vegas. At the time, though, we weren't able to dive too deeply into details. But with SEMA in full swing, we were able to sneak over and grab some snaps of one of the first modified Cherokees we've seen. The Cherokee is, after all, kind of an unknown quantity in the modification department, being so new and featuring such a polarizing design. We were quite interested to see what Mopar could come up with.
Starting with the Trailhawk 4x4 and its 3.2-liter V6, the engine is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust, although it's not clear what sort of power boost has resulted. We'll admit, we were hoping Jeep and Mopar would get a bit more aggressive with the Cherokee's suspension (has anyone thrown a few-inch lift on the new Jeep yet?), but there's no mention of upgrades beyond the knobby, off-road tires. Those should do some good when the going gets rough, while rock rails are there to protect the Auburn Pearl paint on the body.
Speaking of that paint, it's complemented by an interesting graphics package in contrasting black and Crush Orange. The cabin sports Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, along with tech-friendly items like a wireless charging system for cellphones and wireless internet.

7 major automakers to build open EV charging network

Wed, Jul 26 2023

A new joint venture established by BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz and Stellantis will build a new North American electric vehicle charging network on a scale designed to compete with Tesla's industry-benchmark Supercharger network. The 30,000-plus planned new chargers will accommodate both Tesla's almost-standard North American Charging System (NACS) and existing automakers' Combined Charging System (CCS) options, effectively guaranteeing compatibility with the vast majority of current and upcoming electric models — whether they're from one of the involved automakers or not.  "With the generational investments in public charging being implemented on the Federal and State level, the joint venture will leverage public and private funds to accelerate the installation of high-powered charging for customers. The new charging stations will be accessible to all battery-powered electric vehicles from any automaker using Combined Charging System (CCS) or North American Charging Standard (NACS) and are expected to meet or exceed the spirit and requirements of the U.S. National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program." Critically, the automakers involved will have a say in how the charging tech is implemented, guaranteeing that the hardware will play nicely with each automaker's in-house charging systems. Hyundai and Kia, for example, were hesitant to jump on board the Tesla NACS bandwagon earlier this year over concerns that the Supercharger network is insufficient for powering the two automakers' 800-volt charging systems; similar tech is used by Volkswagen and Porsche.  In addition to providing much-needed capacity and high-output charging for America's growing fleet of electric cars and trucks, the new network will integrate seamlessly with each automaker's in-app and in-vehicle features, rather than forcing customers to use third-party tools and payment systems, as is the case with some existing public charging infrastructure.  "The functions and services of the network will allow for seamless integration with participating automakersÂ’ in-vehicle and in-app experiences, including reservations, intelligent route planning and navigation, payment applications, transparent energy management and more. In addition, the network will leverage Plug & Charge technology to further enhance the customer experience," the announcement said.
