For sale is a black Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 with just over 50,000 miles. The vehicle is in great condition. leather interior is in excellent condition, steering wheel has some normal wear on it. Minor scratches on front and rear bumpers. I bought the truck a year and a half ago and have put less than 10,000 miles on it. Vehicle comes with factory navigation system and has added ipod connection. Mopar Cold Air Intake for added horsepower and better fuel economy along with a Borla exhaust and Pirelli P Zero tires that give a much more comfortable ride than the old hard goodyear run flats. Brembo drilled and slotted brakes with black calipers and factory 20" staggered forged alloy wheels that are extra light weight . Truck has tremendous power with over 420 horsepower and 420 foot lbs. of torque that give it a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds; faster than Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The SRT tuned track-ready suspension, brakes and electronic stability program give it rock-solid handling in even the tightest curves and make it handle like a sports car around the bends. YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines
Fri, 16 Nov 2012Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
