Up for sale is my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Need it gone by the end of next week. Just hit the 200,000 mile mark, but runs excellent. I am going to be completely honest about everything I've stated in this article. I have had this vehicle for about a year now, and I've put quite a bit of money into it since I have owned it. All the work was done by my father and I. I am a perfectionist so everything was done right, no corners cut. My intentions were to lift it, get it repainted, and have a really nice daily driver that I could go off-roading with on the weekends. I honestly do not want to sell this vehicle. I have a lot of time, money, and sweat invested.
I will accept pretty much any decent offer. You will not find a more mechanically sound and nearly rust free vehicle for this price. I guarantee that. If you don't have the money yet, please don't waste my time. It's a cash only sale. That means hard cash in hand no checks.

All new parts just recently installed: Wheel Hub Assemblies (One National, other is Moog), Differential Spider Gears, Moog Sway Bar End Links, Fuel Pump, Power Steering Pump, Alternator, Borg Warner Throttle Position Sensor, Borg Warner Idle Air Control Valve, Trickflow Throttle Body Spacer, Accel Cap & Rotor, NAPA Plug Wires, Autolite Plugs, Stainless Header, Dynomax Tail Pipe, OEM Replacement Walker Intermediate Exhaust Pipe, Magnaflow High Flow Catalytic Converter, Flowmaster Super 40 Series Muffler, Fel-Pro Valve Cover Gasket, Fel-Pro Intake/Exhaust Manifold Gasket, Bosch o2 Sensors, PCV Valves, Bosch Windshield Wiper Blades, Moog Ball Joints, Rugged Ridge HD Tie Rod Kit, Rough Country 2.2 Steering Stabilizer, Monsterliner Roll-On Bed Liner (Rolled on but still put carpet over it).

Replacement, Reman, Or not exactly brand new parts: Replacement gas tank, Remanufactured Steering Gearbox, Goodyear Wrangler Tires (1 Year Old), 99'+ Intake upgrade, Replacement Passenger Door from Junkyard (No rust), Replacement Rear Hatch from Junkyard (Minor Bubbling on the lip, not much at all), Gas Tank Skid Plate (not installed).

The issues:
Front Driveshaft Used to vibrate so it was removed. So currently no 4wd. Didn't have 4wd last winter and I never had a problem. (Still have driveshaft)
No A/C, compressor went out so an idler pulley was installed in its place
I had to do a roof patch due to the previous owner's idiotic idea to install an aftermarket sunroof.
The ONLY rust, a small 1"x 5" hole in the drivers wheel well. And Bubbling on some of the bottom inner door lips. Really easy fix if you are handy with a welder.
Windshield has a large crack across the bottom and a few scattered very small chips.
The paint job isn't anything to brag about
No Stereo or Speakers.
Could use alignment in my opinion, especially since a lot of the steering components are new.

I work 3rd shit and have classes at Mott during the day, so please call and schedule an appointment with me so you can get a proper evaluation of the vehicle. Just send me a message and I will provide my cell number.

Best cars for snow and ice in 2023 and 2024

Tue, Jan 23 2024

What's the best car for snow? The real answer is "the one with winter tires." What do we mean by that? You could have the finest, most advanced all-wheel-drive system or four-wheel drive in the world, but if you're running all-seasons (the spork of tires), your fancy four-wheeler won't matter much. The odds are, any vehicle on the road running good winter tires will probably perform adequately in slippery, slushy and/or snowy road conditions. (Here's a more complete explanation of why winter tires are totally worth it). In other words, you don't really need any of the cars on this list. With a set of winter tires, countless others will do the job, and even these will be at their best with proper rubber. You can find a variety of winter tires for your car here at Tire Rack. Keep in mind that you will need a full set of four snow tires for safety and performance, no matter what you're driving. The days of your dad putting just two snows on the family truckster to get it moving in a straight line are long gone. Don't get us wrong, getting a car that performs well in snow and ice is still a worthy criteria for car buyers. According to the U.S. Transportation Department, 70% of Americans live in places that get snow and ice. And much of the country has been blasted with arctic air for much of the new year. So let's look at the cars. First, we're highlighting choices for a variety of buyers and price points. Second, we're not just considering snow; we're considering general wintery conditions people will experience driving to work or school. As such, these are all choices with advanced all-wheel-drive systems, usually with "torque-vectoring" systems that not only automatically shunt power front and back, but side to side between the rear axles. Most have extra ground clearance for getting through deep snow, and we prefer those vehicles with more responsive steering, throttles and transmissions that provide a greater sense of vehicle control in slippery conditions.    Acura RDX Read our Acura RDX Review Acura's Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive system was one of the first to offer torque-vectoring, and besides often being touted for its ability to greatly enhanced dry-road handling, its benefits in the slick stuff can be profound. It's actually surprising that Acura hasn't leaned into this capability further by offering more rugged versions of its vehicles.

Stellantis previews 4 electric platforms: Here's how they'll be used

Thu, Jul 8 2021

Stellantis EV Day is hitting hard and fast this morning, with big news coming from Dodge and Ram and Jeep and the rest. But to support those brand transformations, a core initiative within Stellantis will help it become a leader in electrification. To do that, the group is developing platforms and technologies with cross-shared components and systems. This starts with four flexible BEV platforms: STLA Small, STLA Medium, STLA Large and STLA Frame. As for targeted numbers, they’re lofty: By 2024, Stellantis aims for over 500 miles of range, 0-62 mph in 2 seconds and charging 200 miles of range in 10 minutes. The four platforms will offer battery capacities from 37 kWh to more than 200 kWh. More specifically, STLA Small will offer 37-82 kWh and up to 300 miles of range. STLA Medium will have 87-104 kWh and up to 440 miles. STLA Large will provide 101-118 kWh and up to 500 miles of range. The truck-focused STLA Frame will provide 159-200+ kWh and up to 500 miles of range (and will support an electric Ram 1500 pickup). Chrysler EV Front 34 View 8 Photos Stellantis has big plans for the STLA Large platform, and is currently developing eight vehicles for it in the next three to five years. Examples of possible vehicles shown include a midsize Ram truck and a Jeep off-roader that could fight against the likes of the Toyota 4Runner. Stellantis design boss Ralph Gilles could be seen in a presentation looking over a Chrysler electric crossover based on this platform. We also saw a Wagoneer badge teased momentarily. There was a rendered silhouette of a crossover that looked like it could compete with the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Gilles said the platform would allow Stellantis to “create a long-range luxury sedan, an all-conquering muscle car, a heart-of-the-market DUV, a heart-of-the-market SUV, a very capable Jeep off-roading white-space opportunity vehicle as well as a new mid-sized truck.” See for yourself in this video starting at the 90-minute mark. As for powertrains, Stellantis is developing three electric drive modules with a shared, scalable inverter, and other common components, as well as in-house software to control them. Those drive units will offer from 70 to 330 kW (94-402 horsepower). More specifically, one EDM will provide 70 kW, a second will provide 125-180 kW, while the most potent can produce 150-330 kW.
