			  1967 Jeep Jeepster Commando
I inherited this vehicle this year, it is really great, I love the style and simple features of the Jeep, however due to medical expenses of having twins, I need to sell this. Before I got it, this jeep sat in a warehouse for 20 years, fuel tank was removed so no build up would occur. My Grandfather had it repainted and re-upholstered, along with adding new tires, wheels, exhaust and brake shoes. I reinstalled the fuel tank, added a new fuel pump, fuel filter, water pump, battery, and major tune up. Also some radiator repair, and had wheel cylinder rebuilt. Has pass Arizona emissions, tag and title is current. As far as i know vehicle has never been out of state, body is in good condition. Drives great, and i keep it running about once a week, and washed about every other month. This has the V6 buick dauntless motor that jeep contracted buick to build for these vehicles, it is 3 speed manual transmission with transfer controls to engage 4wheel drive. The hardtop can be remove with some work. Lights and electrical works, as does most of the dash displays. Seats 4 with ample cargo space, buy rights this is how Jeep should be building the suv today. |

Going high-tech, the 4x4 way
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Is It An Off-Road Adventure Or Just A Walk In The Park?
I remember having to get out and lock hubs and shift into neutral to engage low range.
Coming off press previews of the 2013 Land Rover Range Rover and the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee that involved some heavy-duty off-road rock climbing, I'm simply amazed at the capabilities that these vehicles possess. But even more impressive (or troubling depending on your perspective) is the relative ease with which you can operate these vehicles in seemingly impossible terrain.
Jeep Wrangler Scrambler pickup tailgate spied uncovered
Wed, May 2 2018Jeep has been particularly good at keeping the upcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup truck, affectionately referred to as Scrambler, under wraps, literally. It's very rare to see any portion of the truck sans bulky black fabric. But this time Jeep slipped up and left the tailgate of the truck totally exposed except for some paint. Not surprisingly, there aren't any spare tire mounts here. Previous photos have shown the spare will be mounted underneath the bed, and we haven't seen any running around with tires on the back. There also aren't any logos stamped into the bed, so presumably Jeep will simply slap badges on the back. The shape is also in keeping with the current Wrangler's design. It's chunky and chiseled, but the edges are softened a bit. It's also less straight-edged than what we've seen in renderings. We're currently expecting the Wrangler pickup to arrive at dealers next year. And now that the last JK Wrangler has been built, the factory should be gearing up for truck production. We know that the truck will feature a longer frame with rear suspension that is similar to the Ram 1500. And like all other Wranglers, the top should be removable. Chrysler investing $20M in Toledo plant to support 9-speed auto production
Sun, 28 Apr 2013In 2011, Chrysler announced a $72-million investment in its Toledo Machining Plant to modernize production of the eight- and nine-speed torque-converters for automatic transmissions made there. That upgrade work won't be finished until Q3 of this year, but Chrysler has already announced a further $19.6-million investment to increase production capacity for the nine-speeders.
The extra units will be necessary because the nine-speed transmission they'll be mated to is going into three popular models: it will debut on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then go into the Chrysler 200 and Dodge Dart. The company predicted that this year alone it would sell 200,000 units equipped with the nine-speed tranny, and it is spending some $374 million in addition to the investment in Toledo to upgrade production capacity for it.
The work attached to this new investment won't begin until Q3 of 2014, and it will be finished by the end of that year. There's a press release below with all the details.
