Just finished this neat 1984 CJ7 that is pretty much unmolested. Just finished a beautiful new paint job in Hugger Orange with black accent. The trim , hinges, windshield , hood, tailgate etc.....were all removed so it could be painted right. The 4.2 liter engine has less than 2000 miles on a complete rebuild. All new body mounts, shocks. Speedometer has been replaced with a salvaged one that works but mileage is not correct. I believe this vehicle has approximately 85000 miles on body and frame. New Seats in the front. There has never been a rear seat. CJ has new Bimini Top as well as Tonneau cover. A new belt rail system has been installed if you wanted to put a full top on it. This Jeep was built as a Warm climate or summer vehicle. There is no heat or AC. The Goodyear Fortera tires are new as is the spare. This would make a perfect vehicle to leave at your summer or winter home. This is a Jeep that will last you a lifetime. Jeep drives great and the 4 wheel drive works great. This American Life spends a week selling Jeeps in Long Island

So you think you know car dealers? Well, maybe you do, but This American Life spent a month at Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Doge Ram in Long Island to give us a behind-the-scenes look (or listen, since it's a radio program) at what it's like to be a car dealer.
Yes, there's a lot of swearing in thick New York accents, frustration, confusion, and generally it's a madhouse at the dealership. But that's understandable when the sales staff has to sell 129 vehicles in October in order to get an $85,000 manufacturer bonus - with several other Jeep dealerships within a 10-mile radius.

A young Alabama man got the surprise of a lifetime this week when his co-workers presented him with his very own car for his daily commute. According to the Daily Mail, 19-year-old Derrick Taylor started working at the Oxford, Alabama, UPS freight center a year and a half ago to support his ailing mother. With precious little money left over after bills and healthcare, Taylor had no money to afford a vehicle so he walked the five miles to and from work every day. Despite numerous offers of rides and loans, the young man was too proud to accept even the slightest help from his co-workers. Desperate to do something for him, Taylor's co-workers raised money in secret and bought him a used Jeep Cherokee off a local lot. 'This is a hard working young man. He makes me emotional. This young man wants to work so bad, he walks to work from way out of town," said James Williams, Taylor's safety instructor. "The group here, we've got some good news for you. Everybody came together and you don't have to walk no more. You've got your own ride. We want you to know we appreciate your hard work." Deeply moved, Taylor stood for a moment and wiped tears away before he walked over to check out the Jeep. "I was overwhelmed with joy. No one had ever done anything like that for me so it made me cry and I'm not really the type to show my emotions," he told the Daily Mail.
