I have a 1976 Jeep CJ7 up for auction. The Jeep has a 304 V8 engine that runs perfect and was rebuilt by the previous owner about 18 months ago. It was bored .030 over and has an Edelbrock aluminum intake, carb, chrome air filter and valve covers. It has a small thumper cam, but nothing radical. It has headers also. The battery is 2 years old. It has a Jasper automatic transmission that shifts smooth and was installed last year. I can furnish the winning bidder with the previous owners name and number if any additional information is needed on the running gear. The Jeep runs good with no rattles or smoke, starts right up everytime and leaks nothing. The Jeep has power steering and manual disc brakes with new lines installed and new rear brakes. The Jeep has a good set of Rancho RS5000 shocks and steering stabilizer. It has new greaseable shackles with a small lift kit with the springs and a small body lift also. The Jeep has a good set of 15x10 wheels with 33x12.50x15 tires with very little tread. I have a decent set of 31x10.50x15 mud terrains that I will let go with the Jeep. I have a black bikini top that goes with the Jeep also. The brakes work perfect, the steering is pretty tight with little play, but no bad for a 1976 model Jeep. The 4-wheel drive works as it should with the button in the dash. The Jeep has Warn manual lock-out hubs. It has a finned aluminum rear end cover. The Jeep has some minor rust in the body with the passengers side fender being the worst and a couple of small places in the front floor pans, but the frame is perfect with no rust. The Jeep has a Kenwood cd player and small speakers also. Good hard-top with hard doors, glasses roll up and down good, but the passenger side needs a door handle. The seat belts are in the front of the Jeep only. I don't have the rear seat belts. This Jeep has an excellent drive train and would be an excellent candidate for restoration or a good daily driver, off-road, or just a good time Jeep. The odometer show 88662, but the title says not actual.

Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
Jeep gunning for 1M sales this year
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Jeep CEO Mike Manley would rather soft-pedal the seven-figure prognostication for now, but Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne won't have it, proclaiming in an interview that Jeep will sell one million units worldwide this year. Manley has called that come-hither number "a stretch," the history of recent gains perhaps reason for his caution: in 2011 the brand sold 568,317 units, followed by the record-breaking tally of 701,626, then another record in 2013 with 731,565 units moved.
That kind of gap means everything will need to go magically for Jeep to record a 37-percent increase this year - amazing Cherokee sales, a brilliant launch for the little Jeep arriving in Europe later this year and a heavy wave to raise sales in US, European and Chinese markets. Manley is confident about the prospects in 2015, though, with the Cherokee in full stride, the Fiat-based Jeep on its way to the US and expanded global production. It's not as though Marchionne's prediction for Jeep's 2014 sales is unexpected, since he first made it last year. But even if the number ends up a little short for 2014, there's no doubt it will be impressive.
2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is more expensive than the Dodge Demon
Tue, Aug 8 2017Jeep has finally released pricing for its crazy, all-wheel-drive, Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee, and it's seriously expensive. It starts at $86,995. That's a full $2,000 more than the limited-production, 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. For 140 fewer horses, and a quarter-mile time that's 2seconds slower (11.6 seconds vs. 9.6), you'll spend more money. Then again, the Grand Cherokee can do things the Demon and the Hellcats can't. It's got more space than any of them, meaning you can carry quite a bit more. It's capable of towing up to 7,200 pounds of stuff. It also has all-wheel drive, which means you have a little extra traction in bad weather, and you have the opportunity to do spectacular four-wheel burnouts. And of course, the Trackhawk is still fast and capable by any measure. It's only a tenth of a second slower to 60 mph than the Challenger Hellcat Widebody. It also comes with massive Brembo brakes, with the largest front rotors fitted to a Jeep, to haul it down from 60 mph in a claimed 114 feet. Each corner features 295-mm tires that Jeep claims let the Trackhawk generate 0.88g circling a skid pad. If the Trackhawk sounds like just the absurd performance machine you've been waiting for, you'll be able to put your order in soon. Dealers will accept orders starting Aug. 10, and the vehicles will start arriving at dealer lots toward the end of the year.
