*no Reserve* Rust-free Cj8 Scrambler - V8 - New Paint - Runs Excellent on 2040-cars
Lawrence, Kansas, United States

Yes, there are really 385 miles on this restoration. This one is a steal at the opening bid price. Parts alone far exceeded the starting bid. The Scrambler has a rebuilt 304 V8 engine, with a fresh carb and runs great. There are absolutely no known drivetrain flaws. The Scrambler runs down the highway well, even with the lift and massive, 35-inch Super Swampers. The drivetrain is tight and responsive, and there are no leaks or drips. It has been professionally built and adult owned. It has never spent the night outside.
The Scrambler has a new, professional, 6 mil paint job. It has a 100% rust free, clean steel body, and has never been off-road or abused. My painter claims he’s never seen anything like it.
The Scrambler has a rebuilt Dana 300 transfer case. The entire drivetrain, suspension, body, interior, and electrical have been gone through and updated. The only known defect is an intermittent gas gauge. All of the gauges and sending units are new.
Drivetrain Small block V8, 304 CID: rebuilt, less than 1000 miles Headers Fresh Holley carburetor T-15, heavy duty, 3-speed transmission; generally considered the heaviest-duty 3-speed transmission ever manufactured: rebuilt, less than 1000 miles Dana 300 transfer case: widely considered the best transfer case ever manufactured; rebuilt, less than 1000 miles Dana 44 (upgraded) rear axle, replacing the standard Model 20 rear end Dana 30 front end New front disc brakes; stops great
Body 100% rust-free body New neoprene body grommits Rock solid frame Fold-down windshield (which I’ve never had down) Rugged Ridge double front bumper Custom, super heavy duty rear bumper Bushwacker fender flares
Paint This is a true, 6-mil, three-stage professional paint job. Needless to say, this isn’t typically what you find on a classic jeep. The first coat is Deltron epoxy primer; if you know your paint, you know that this is as good as it gets. No exterior surface has less than two coats of PPG 4273 Radiant Fire Red. Everything was wet sanded and buffed appropriately.
Wheels and tires 35-inch Super Swamper tires Warn locking hubs
Interior High-back, BesTop Aqua front seats, in very good condition Completely Linx’d interior All new gauges All new sending units Locking Tuffy center console, set up for concealed stereo, in very good condition New heater core and defroster unit Billet aluminum knobs
Extras Brand new Warn CE M8000 winch, with remote, never used Dual Glaspaks All trim pieces are stainless steel Hard half-doors, in good condition Bikini top, in good condition Lots of spare parts, should you want them, including Original exhaust brackets Army jerry cans 1981 Chilton’s CJ guide A pair of stainless steel 1000lb tow hooks A new WindJammer, which I’ve never had on Anything else I might turn up

Ram and Jeep Wrangler drive Fiat Chrysler profits up 61 percent
Thu, Feb 7 2019MILAN — Italian American automaker Fiat Chrysler says fourth-quarter net profits rose by 61 percent, powered by North American sales of the all-new Ram 1500 and Jeep Wrangler. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles on Thursday reported quarterly net profits of 1.29 billion euros ($1.46 billion), compared with 804 million euros in 2017. Revenues rose 6 percent to 30.6 billion euros. North America profits grew by 19 percent to 6.2 billion euros, accounting for the lion's share of the automaker's global profits. The carmaker continued to have trouble in Asia, which swung to a loss due to market weakness in China and more competition in Fiat Chrysler's core SUV market. Europe also lost ground, with profits dipping 44 percent on lower shipments and weaker pricing, while Latin America more than doubled. Based on the company's earnings last year, 44,000 unionized U.S. auto workers will get $6,000 profit-sharing checks. That's $500 more than in 2017, but smaller than U.S. rivals Ford and General Motors. On Wednesday, GM announced that workers would get $10,750, while Ford workers will get $7,600.Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. Fiat Centro Stile sells design sketches to support kids in Italy
Sun, Jun 21 2020Fiat's Centro Stile design studio in Europe has kicked off a project called stART Again to support the global charity Save the Children. The studio put 136 high-resolution sketches of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, and Lancia vehicles for download online at just ˆ20 a pop — about $22. The proceeds from all sales will be donated to a charity founded in England 101 years ago "to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts." Save the Children will use the funds to provide supplies, teaching materials, and support for studies for more than 100,000 children in the most disadvantaged areas of Italy who have been additionally harmed by the coronavirus and its effects. There are a heap of knockout drawings available. The selection at the Alfa Romeo store ranges from a 1958 Alfetta 158 racer to the coming Giulia GTA, classics in between including the immortal GTV 6 and the left-field 75 1.8 Turbo TCC racer. The Fiat marketplace contains wares from Abarth, Fiat, and Fiat Professional, with a massive emphasis on the new 500, but the hardcore 1972 Abarth 124 Spyder and oddball 900E van get slots in there (the 900E looks like a Volkswagen Vanagon, but the 900E came first). The Jeep shop is all business and big tires, save for the 1942 Willys MB, but someone needs to take the 1956 Jeep Forward Control sketch off the page and into reality. And the Lancia store has more to offer than the Stratos and Delta Integrale, an ominous Aurelia B20 GT and a Fulvia GT part of the five-model lineup. For some reason, Maserati got left out of the graphic bonanza, as did Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler, which is a shame. That still leaves 136 good reasons to click through and help the kiddies. 2018 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Alaska Cannonball | The other Trans-America Trail
Thu, Aug 16 2018In 1941, when America needed heroes, Jeep answered the call. – "Jeep Joe" Sarette, Sales Associate, Outer Banks Jeep Chouteau, Okla. – Whoever's in charge of rain hates North Carolina. At least, that's what I thought two weeks ago, during the opening stages of my 14,000-mile overland trek in a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, as rain pursued me from the Oregon Inlet National Park Campground on North Carolina's Outer Banks to the western edge of the "First in Flight" state. Then the rain traveled the Trans-America Trail with me through Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. When I arrived at the Love's Truck Stop in Chouteau, Oklahoma a few hours ago, it was raining. And it still is. And you know what? Don't care. Nearly three weeks into this wet and windy Rubicon Alaska Cannonball, there's but one word to describe it: supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I hustled from Southern California to Atlanta, Georgia in two days. In the ATL I stuffed my gear in the Jeep, stuffed my face with Waffle House, and squeezed in a side trip to The Jeep Collection at Omix-ADA. Any Jeeper who ends up in the Atlanta area should make time for a visit. It's not huge, but it contains original and vital specimens of Jeep DNA, meticulously and colorfully explained by tour guide Dave Logan. And Logan was kind enough to loan me his personal snatch block since I'd somehow managed to forget that item in my recovery kit. Four days later, I departed for Oregon Inlet. That was the start of my Trans-America Trail, but I need to clarify that I'm not on original Trans-America Trail. The one most people know and read about was stitched together over a decade by a motorcycle rider named Sam Correro. When I researched this trip, Correro's trail didn't cross the country. It started in Tennessee. A little more Internet digging turned up another trans-America trail put together by another motorcycle rider called GPSKevin. His route starts further south in the Outer Banks, in Buxton, and covers similar local ground to Correro's trail all the way to Port Orford. I'm taking Kevin's route, but only because when I found it, it crossed the country and Correro's didn't. I'm going to refer to Kevin's trail as the TAT for simplicity.
