~RARE "BARN" FIND!~ ~ 1980 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr 4WD with 26300 Original Miles! ~ ~ A REAL, honest to goodness CREAM PUFF ~ Here's your opportunity to own a rare 1980 Jeep Cherokee Wide Track Sport Utility 2-Door with 258 CU 6 Cylinder Engine and T 176 4 Speed transmission. This Jeep only has 26,300 original miles! This beautiful Jeep Cherokee is a one owner vehicle and has never been driven out of the county where it was originally purchased. It even comes with a copy of the original dealer's invoice sticker. It has always been garaged (not actually stored in a barn with farm animals :) and hay !). The body on this Jeep is absolutely 100% rust free! It has original factory Ziebart undercoating. It has been strictly driven for pleasure. You will be amazed at the condition of the paint and interior! You might think this is a showroom model or a six month old Jeep. There are only a couple of blemishes which you will want to have redone if you want this Jeep to look like brand new. Like all original Jeep Cherokees and Grand Wagoneers of this vintage, it needs a headliner. There are some minor scratches on the inside of the tailgate (see photos). The rear bumper needs re-chroming due to some pealing in places and the chip guards on the rear wheel well flares need to be replaced or clear coated due to some minor road rash. (When wet, they disappear, so clear coating may remedy the scuffing). The original AMC white spoke wheels could be re-painted but actually show quite well. The tires are the original BFG's it came with. They have lots of tread but naturally, there is some cracking on the sidewalls due to their age. The running boards are the original AMC Jeep running boards and are in like new condition. The rear window is heated and works perfectly! The 6 cylinder engine purrs like a sewing machine and the transmission shifts perfectly. It has its original radio (no CD or MP3 of course). This beauty has all of its original flooring which is in amazing condition as is the original vinyl upholstery. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. Chrome is beautiful except as noted regarding the rear bumper. (Please inspect all high resolution photos for a complete description). If you are looking for a really low mileage vintage Jeep Cherokee, you have just found it! This Jeep is that cream puff you've been looking for! As you know, these don't come on the market often. The photos say it all! Don't miss this opportunity...these rarely come along in this condition! A true collector's car. If you like it, make us an offer...you might be surprised!...before someone else does...it shouldn't last long! We can help arrange transportation or delivery at your request. 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is more expensive than the Dodge Demon
Tue, Aug 8 2017Jeep has finally released pricing for its crazy, all-wheel-drive, Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee, and it's seriously expensive. It starts at $86,995. That's a full $2,000 more than the limited-production, 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. For 140 fewer horses, and a quarter-mile time that's 2seconds slower (11.6 seconds vs. 9.6), you'll spend more money. Then again, the Grand Cherokee can do things the Demon and the Hellcats can't. It's got more space than any of them, meaning you can carry quite a bit more. It's capable of towing up to 7,200 pounds of stuff. It also has all-wheel drive, which means you have a little extra traction in bad weather, and you have the opportunity to do spectacular four-wheel burnouts. And of course, the Trackhawk is still fast and capable by any measure. It's only a tenth of a second slower to 60 mph than the Challenger Hellcat Widebody. It also comes with massive Brembo brakes, with the largest front rotors fitted to a Jeep, to haul it down from 60 mph in a claimed 114 feet. Each corner features 295-mm tires that Jeep claims let the Trackhawk generate 0.88g circling a skid pad. If the Trackhawk sounds like just the absurd performance machine you've been waiting for, you'll be able to put your order in soon. Dealers will accept orders starting Aug. 10, and the vehicles will start arriving at dealer lots toward the end of the year. Jeep Yuntu three-row crossover spied testing on public roads
Tue, Jan 2 2018Jeep is doing very well, especially compared to most other FCA brands. Still, there's a three-row sized hole in the automaker's lineup. In April 2017, the Jeep Yuntu made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. While that plug-in hybrid was just a concept, we now have a second set of spy shots showing that a road-going Yuntu is deep into development. Even with the black and white camouflage, there's no mistaking this for anything other than a Jeep. The new model looks like a larger Grand Cherokee with styling elements cribbed from the new Compass and refreshed Cherokee, though the profile unsurprisingly reminds us of the Dodge Durango (essentially a three-row Grand Cherokee). The thin headlights and taillights have made it over from the concept, though both are toned down for the production version. A three-row Jeep is all but officially confirmed for the US. The real question is what it will be called. We doubt Americans will fall head over heels for a American vehicle named the Yuntu. Reviving the Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer nameplates seems far more likely. We can only speculate on powertrains, but considering the Yuntu concept was a plug-in hybrid, expect some flavor of electrification. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2018 Jeep Wrangler First Drive Review | Improving an Icon
Wed, Dec 13 2017TUCSON, Ariz. — We crawled, with the lightest possible touch of the accelerator pedal, over a boulder-strewn mountain peak just outside of Tucson. We'd been driving for a few hours already, through city streets, along the highway, through twisty stretches just outside of Saguaro National Park. But it wasn't until we were pointed skyward, at such a severe vertical incline that we could only barely make out the hands of the trail guide ahead, that we knew Jeep had nailed the 2018 Wrangler redesign. That light-bulb moment was punctuated by the screeching steel impact of a skid plate along the jagged edge of a boulder. There's just something that feels right about a vehicle designed with purity of purpose. Leave the one-size-fits-all approach to the midsize crossover; stop attempting to be all things to all people like the midsize sedan. The problem with narrow-minded vehicles, though, is that they all require some sort of significant compromise to live with on a daily basis. With the latest version of the iconic Wrangler, Jeep set out to banish as much compromise as possible. Smoothed-out corners and lightweight materials improve efficiency, a range of engine choices opens the envelope to a larger swath of buyers, and big infotainment screens and backup cameras make the 2018 Wrangler easier to live with than ever before. But that essential purity of purpose remains intact. The latest Wrangler is better in every way than its predecessor, a fact that rings true no matter what type of terrain you're driving on. A casual observer may not notice the subtle exterior tweaks made to the 2018 Wrangler, codenamed JL, over the JK model it replaces. The round headlights, LED units on higher-end models, now cut into the outer two vertical grille slats, which are canted back just enough to make a difference in the wind tunnel. The windshield, too, is swept back further than ever before, but not so much that it messes up the Wrangler's timeless design. Hood and door latches are still externally bolted to the body — crucially allowing the doors and windshield to be removed or folded down for the pinnacle of open-air motoring — like little lumps of clay the designer forgot to smooth out. Vents in the front fenders reduce underhood pressure and keep the hood from writhing about at speed as it did on Wrangler models in the past. So picky are Wrangler customers that Jeep's decision to move the turn signals ignited a thousand threads on internet forums worldwide.
