Lifted 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l W/ Roll Cage on 2040-cars
White River Junction, Vermont, United States
|
2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 5spd, 120,xxx miles. Roof has been cut off and full 2" tubed roll cage has been custom built ($3,000). Rusty's 6.5" lift with drop pitman arm on 35x12.50 BFG Mud Terrains and AR 15" steel rims (less than 3,000 miles). Custom front and rear bumpers, Bushwacker fender flares have also been installed. It currently has a K&N cold air intake and throttle body spacer, I also have a brand new snorkel that can be added. The Jeep also has all brand new smoked lights other than the headlights and two Hella 6" lights mounted on front bumper that need to be re-wired since painted. The Jeep was hit by a falling tree which caved the roof a bit. The jeep still ran straight and well, so I decided to cut the roof off and add the roll cage. The windshield pillars drop about 1" from one side to the other, but is currently welded to the roll cage, so they will not move anymore. Windshield will need to be replaced as there is a long crack in it. I replaced the front quarter panels, hood and grill as well. The entire vehicle was then sanded down and sprayed with a bluish gray epoxy primer which won't rust out. The color has grown on me, but you could paint it if you wanted to. The rear has been modified since the epoxy primer was sprayed on, therefore you will see a little bit of rust in the pics where we cut the tailgate in order to mount the spare tire Baja style. The interior is in good shape. There are a few burn holes in the rear seat form when we welded in the 4-point harnesses for the front seats. The entire inside of the jeep has been rhino lined and I have also drilled a few holes in the floor for the water to exit. The windows and door locks DO NOT work. it seems like a waste since there is no top for this rig. Doors are now half doors. All lights and blinkers work. I bought this Jeep in Virginia back in 2008. I am the 3rd owner and it has never seen a winter. The frame is in great shape, as well as the body. There is no rot on this Jeep. This Jeep is a head turner. There isn't another one like it where I live and there are Jeeps everywhere. People are constantly wondering what exactly it is and some don't believe me when I tell them it is an XJ. Please bid with confidence. This jeep is in great running condition and has a ton of life left in her. You will enjoy this rig in the woods, on the beach or even just driving around town. Keep in mind this is a lifted vehicle. It shakes around 35-40mph, but not bad. I also have driven this vehicle on the interstate and it does fine. Please feel free to message me with any questions. Winner will assume all responsibility for shipping costs (located in Hartford, VT 05001), but I don't mind helping logistically if I can. I know I am leaving things out, so again, please ask. |

This Jeep Forward Control is incredibly clean, for sale
Fri, Jun 10 2016Jeep loves going all out on its Moab Easter Safari concept cars. This year was no exception; aside from an insane 707-horsepower Wrangler, the plucky little FC-150 was the star of the show. Of course, it was artfully restored and given plenty of love before the annual, off-road adventure. Sadly, you can't buy a brand new FC-150 from Jeep anymore, or even any sort of pickup truck for that matter. No, the last time you were able to buy an FC-150 was way back when in 1965. Thankfully, at least one dealer recognized the heritage of this stunning little machine, and has listed a pristine example for sale on eBay for sale on eBay. This one was built in 1958, and only 11,595 miles read on the odometer. That's insanely low for a car this old and this rare. The President Red and Plantation white exterior looks straight from the factory, as do the wheels and tires. Though, you have to imagine that most everything on this car has been restored considerably given the lifespan, even without the dealer outright saying it. Four-wheel drive and a four-speed manual gearbox come standard; there's even a spare tire in case things go wrong on the trail. The cherry on top being the stunningly clean, no-nonsense interior. It's about as factory fresh one might get in a 60-year old Jeep. With a current bid of $14,600 (per this writing), it's not even that expensive. If you're looking to snag a handsome piece of Jeep history, look no further than this. But hurry, there are only a few hours left to bid. Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler wants mountains, not a stage
Wed, 20 Nov 2013We've said it before and we'll say it again - while we usually grow tired of the endless barrage of special edition vehicles, that isn't the case with the Jeep Wrangler. Every unique model we encounter seems cooler than the one before it, and this Willys Wheeler Edition is no exception.
The Willys Wheeler package is sort of a throwback to early Jeep CJ models, and wears "Willys" stickers on the hood. There's also a gloss black grille, rock rails to protect the side sills, and unique 17-inch black wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich KM Mud Terrain tires. For proper off-road prowess, this special edition uses a Dana 44 rear axle with a limited-slip differential and a 3.73 final drive ratio.
Look for the Willys edition to hit dealerships early next year, starting at $25,795 for the two-door version and $29,595 for the four-door. Feel free to read all about it in the press release below.
Chinese automaker Great Wall wants to buy Jeep
Mon, Aug 21 2017As Chinese automakers look to break into the U.S. market, we've been hearing about how companies in China are courting FCA. After GM and Volkswagen each shut the possibility of a merger, an unnamed Chinese company stepped up to the table. Its offer to buy FCA was refused, but the suitors are still knocking. Now, Automotive News reports that Chinese automaker Great Wall is interested in making a deal specifically to purchase the Jeep brand. Great Wall President Wang Fengying told Automotive News in an email that her company is "connecting with FCA" to start the negotiation process. FCA, though, told the publication that it hasn't been approached by Great Wall. Great Wall's offer, if accepted, would separate Jeep ͗ FCA's most valuable brand ͗ from the rest of the FCA portfolio. It's not unthinkable that FCA would consider selling Jeep on its own. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne has said he'd consider spinning off Jeep and Ram. The company also said it could see making Maserati and Alfa Romeo into a separate company as well. Jeep, though, might be worth more on its own that the entirety of FCA with Jeep included, according to Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas. This complicates the matter for any potential buyer that owns FCA franchise dealerships, and for FCA, for which Jeep is an attractor for selling the company as a whole. Great Wall, which only generates $14.7 billion in annual revenue (compared to FCA's $131 billion), is confident it could raise the funds to buy Jeep. As Automotive News points out, though, there could be a bidding war brewing if Jeep can be bought separately from the rest of the brands. Still, As Great Wall spokesman Xu Hui said, the company has been following Jeep, and sees it as a key to achieving its goal of becoming "the world's largest SUV maker." Great Wall already has research and development facilities in Detroit and Los Angeles. The Chinese company is also considering building a factory in the U.S. rather than in Mexico. Whether or not Great Wall acquires Jeep, it wants to sell SUVs in the U.S., and having a factory in the States means it wouldn't have to worry about Trump renegotiating NAFTA. Jeep is currently expanding its market presence, and has new vehicles, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, on the way in 2019. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party.
