Selling my 2000 Jeep XJ Cherokee. I just don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it.
-2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport XJ
-94,7XX miles (still driving it so mileage will change a bit)
-Automatic transmission
-4x4
-Chrysler 8.25 rear axle
Purchased it in Oct 2010 with 91,XXX miles and have done several upgrades.
- Rockers repaired and a couple spots under the rear bumper end caps (only spots that had rust)
- Repainted Mopar Moss Green Pearl (used to be Stone White)
- Undercoated
- 3" Rough Country suspension lift with full rear spring pack (installed by a Jeep dealership)
- 31x10.5x15 B.F. Goodrich All Terrain tires
- Refinished Jeep Comanche wheels (I used OEM wheels so the tires would stay inside the fender flares)
- Rough Country fixed front lower control arms
- Rough Country transfer case drop
- Rough Country shocks and steering stabilizer
- JKS quick disconnects
- Yakima landing pads, control towers and crossbars (with locks)
- Yakima fairing (with lock)
- Mopar front and rear floor liners (slush type)
- Husky rear cargo liner
- New windshield (highway rock cracked the old one)
- Other new maintenance parts including exhaust components, tie rod end, crank sensor, windshield washer pumps (both), etc.
I have new Hella headlights, clear turn signal and marker lights and a Putco heavy duty wiring harness I will throw in, just haven't had time to install. The Jeep has a state inspection sticker good through March 2014 and has no check engine lights. It's a 2000 Jeep Cherokee so its not a new vehicle and its not perfect however if you are familiar with these they are getting hard to find with lower mileage.

Jeep to stop using bad Takata airbag inflators next week
Tue, Jun 21 2016FCA is gradually ceasing to produce vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflaters found to be inherently faulty. These airbags, which lack a certain drying agent, have been linked with dangerous premature ruptures. According to FCA, the only vehicle still in production with the named airbag is the 2016 Jeep Wrangler, and in this case they are passenger-side airbags. Fiat Chrysler says it isn't aware of any incidents involving these air bag inflaters in Jeeps, but amidst concerns that vehicles with failure-prone airbags are still being marketed to customers, North American-market 2016 Wranglers will cease to be equipped with them starting next week. As per FCA's statement, global production is expected to end by mid-September. In addition to Toledo, Ohio, the Wrangler is produced in Egypt. FCA isn't going to sell the cars with the deemed-faulty airbags without disclosing the fact to the customers: anyone buying a 2016 Wrangler will be notified that the vehicle will most likely be subject to a recall in the future, even if there is not currently a recall announced for them. NHTSA has specified a "Coordinated Remedy Program" recall schedule for the coming years, and the airbag inflaters will degrade over a time frame of several years, when subjected to a humid environment. This incredibly detailed toy Jeep will set you back $2,300 [w/video]
Wed, Dec 30 2015When I was a kid, I desperately wanted one of those Power Wheels Ford-badged Big Foot impersonators. They were far cooler than my lousy, plastic Big Wheel trike. This 1/8-scale electric Jeep takes the Power Wheels idea to a fanatical level. For one, the Capo Racing Jeep is as true to the real Wrangler as is possible in a 1/8-scale vehicle. Everything works, from the three-speed automatic transmission to the transfer case to the locking differentials. It uses a body-on-frame design with a real, metal multi-link suspension. In the cabin, the seats recline and the instruments light up. It has to be one of the most remarkable miniatures we've ever laid eyes on. Of course, that all comes at a price. As our chums at Jalopnik point out, for $2,300 you could pick up a full-size Wrangler. It'd be battered, sure, but it'd be something you could take on actual roads. Check out the fully gallery of images and official details over on the Capo Racing website. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Jeep beefs up the Wrangler Rubicon with 2017 Recon Edition hardware
Mon, Feb 6 2017The Wrangler Rubicon Hard Rock is dead. Don't worry; the 2017 Rubicon Recon is heading to showrooms soon to take its place, and judging by what it's packing you'll hardly miss the Hard Rock. Essentially, this is a Rubicon with some beefed-up bits underneath and a few special cosmetic tweaks, a bit like the outgoing Hard Rock. Up front, there's a stronger Dana 44 with strengthened tubes and heavy-duty end forgings. Likewise, the front and rear differentials get stronger cast covers than the Hard Rock's stamped ones. The ratios are the same, with 4.10:1 front and rear ratios, Tru-Lok locking diffs, and a Rock-Trac transfer case. There's also a half-inch lift. Cosmetically, there are new 17-inch wheels exclusive to the Recon equipped with 32-inch BF Goodrich KM tires, and the rock rails have been reshaped to allow owners to fit 35-inch tires without interference. The Recon also adds red seatbelts and stitching, something you haven't been able to get in a Wrangler before, a Jeep rep told us. If that's what you were waiting for to get into a Wrangler Rubicon, well, there you go. There's also the special-edition farkles you'd expect: a dashboard plaque the fender badge, and a unique gauge cluster treatment. The two-door Recon will start at $40,140 and the four door at $43,940 – that's compared to the base Rubicon, which starts at $34,190 in two-door form. So, the Recon represents a nearly $6,000 premium over the base Rubicon and a $1,150 premium over the outgoing Hard Rock. It'll be available in dealers at the end of this month.
