I buy/sell 4X4 oil/gas fleet trucks and ship them all over the world. Sometimes I get my hands on something super cool like this little 4X4 Jeep Cherokee Classic. I have owned a lot (have 3 right now) of these classic square body Jeeps, they are awesome little off road vehicles and extremely popular here in the high mountains of Colorado. Usually when I am offered one of these rigs they have 200K miles and have been used hard but not this one. This one owner Jeep was used in Bernalillo New Mexico by the county, had excellent fleet maintenance, has never been off road, adult owned, has never been abused in any way. This Jeep is my daily driver, it starts, runs, steers and stops like new and it is very quick. This is the tightest Cherokee classic I have ever owned, there is not so much as a rattle or squeak and it impresses me every time I drive it. If you have been searching for a 100% rust free, straight, clean, low mile 2 door older Cherokee to build as an off road machine, your search is over. The Good Stuff:

As I stated above this Jeep is awesome, though nearly 20 years old I would not hesitate to jump in and drives this Jeep anywhere on a minutes notice. Has a very strong running 4.0 HO 6 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, 4x4, cold AC, a toasty heater, is super clean inside and out, manual windows/locks, 100% zero rust, has good glass, AT tires are 50-65% on factory steel wheels, has a brand new spare tire, has a fresh oil-filter change, new air filter, new steering stabilizer, was recently professionally detailed inside, carpet and seats are excellent, everything works as it should, needs nothing, just turn the key, point it and go! I will leave my Thule roof racks on it as the next owner will probably appreciate them.

The Not So Good Stuff:

This Jeep is almost 20 years old so there are a few negative things to be expected. There is a small dent just to the right of the drivers door, would be easy to push out from the inside (see photos) There are some scratches on both doors (touch up paint has been applied) where the previous owner removed signage, the passenger door got the worst of it (see photos) There are a couple stubborn slight stains and 2 very small holes in the drivers seat bottom and 1 in the rear seat bottom (see photos) There is a very small hole in the top of the back seat (see photos) There are a couple cracks in the center of the dash (see photos) There is some road chipping in the front bumper (see photos) There are some scratches on the rear bumper (see photos) There are 3-4 very small holes in the headliner. Aside from some age related normal used car type stuff this is an awesome older Jeep Cherokee 2 door and will make the someone very happy to own it.

Shipping: I have shipped industrial fleet trucks all over the world, have connections in the auto transport industry and have the ability to arrange wholesale shipping anywhere in the USA but the cost is entirely yours. For example, I just shipped a Jeep wrangler to Oklahoma for $600 and another to Wisconsin for $650, figure approx .55-.65 a mile.

Jeep Renegade gets Riptide and Frostbite customs at SEMA

The cute little Jeep Renegade isn't even on sale yet, but here at SEMA, the Mopar folks are giving us a taste of what's possible for the little CUV in the big wide world of customization. Part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' massive SEMA spread, the Renegade shows up in fresh Riptide and and Frostbite guises.
First up, the Riptide arrives in Vibrance Grandeur Blue with black wheels and a big ol' Jeep Performance Parts logo on the rear pillar. There are a few black accents elsewhere on the exterior, and a surfboard carrier rides up on the roof. The blue color scheme also finds its way inside the Renegade, on the instrument cluster and side panels, with contrasting white accents.
By contrast, the Frostbite Renegade reverses the Riptide's color scheme, with white being the main paint of choice, with blue accents abound. And inside, Katzkin seats wear blue upholstery. The Frostbite is a pretty functional creation, as well, with a Mopar ski/snowboard roof rack and a Jeep Performance Parts rock rail guard.

UPDATE: An unnamed FCA US source has clarified to Automotive News that while there is a software issue, it does not concern the transmission. The Jeep Renegade appears to be facing early software problems that are similar to the ones at the introduction of the Cherokee a few years ago. The issue is keeping the brand's latest compact crossover away from dealers until the situation can be resolved. The fault reportedly deals with the software controlling the Renegade's nine-speed automatic transmission. FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne briefly talked about what was happening in an interview with Automotive News. "I'm having a very bad engineering day," he said. "It's a combination of attributes of that vehicle that is making my life horrible." The company boss predicted at the longest it could take until mid-June to fix things. Through April, Jeep has sold 5,157 Renegades, including 4,214 of them in that month alone. Autoblog reached out to an FCA US spokesperson to learn more about the software problem, but the company had no comment. Getting the software right to control the nine-speed automatic plagued development of the Cherokee. The issues delayed the model's launch in 2013, and the company was still releasing improvements for some vehicles this year.

Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable

A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
