Up for your consideration is this totally awesome, one of a kind 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ.
Just passed ca smog test and new soft top installed .
This Jeep was completely stripped down and rebuilt from top to bottom for real world driving. This doesn't have
some big 500hp v8 but a tried and true brand new 4.0L 6 cylinder and auto trans with mods that will provide plenty
of power and fuel efficiency for every day driving. Coupled with a 4:1 gear reduction transfer case, ARB Air Locker
and 4.88:1 gearing this thing will crawl over almost any obstacle and hang with the best off road only rigs. ANY
ounce of rust was cut out of the body and replaced and there are more new parts to even try to list here. No
disappointments here, and you will never see another YJ like this! Also features special lighting integrated into
the bumpers to provide lighting for rock crawling at night, and a custom hand formed sheet metal dash and center

Dodge shows off the electric Charger, and is the Wrangler 392 done? | Autoblog Podcast #815
Fri, Jan 19 2024In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Road Test Editor Zac Palmer. They kick things off with a roundup of the week's news, and of course the first photos of a pre-production electric Dodge Charger Daytona are the first topic. After that, the pair chat about the possible demise of the Jeep Wrangler 392 via a Final Edition meant for 2025 and ruminate on if they'd be up for buying one of the many Teslas that Hertz is offing from its rental fleet for cheap. Once the news is wrapped, the two move along to what they've been driving, starting with the first drive of the 2024 Acura TLX Type S. Then, they welcome our new Subaru WRX long-term test car and review both the Nissan Altima SL AWD and Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. Send us your questions for the Mailbag and Spend My Money at: Podcast@Autoblog.com. '84 MotorWeek Cherokee, Bronco and Blazer comparison indulges your SUV nostalgia
Fri, Jan 16 2015These days, truck-based, full-frame SUVs are somewhat of a rarity on the auto landscape due to the rapid rise in popularity of easier-driving, car-based crossovers. Although, without the gradually building popularity of these chunky, high-riding vehicles decades ago, it's unlikely that America's roads would be filled with so many CUVs today. In its latest dig into the archives, MotorWeek has found a 1984 comparison test of a trio of these early Sport Utility Wagons, as long-time host John Davis called them, that helped get acceptance of this segment going. This is a red, white and blue test of the SUVs from American automakers at the time and pits the Chevrolet Blazer, Ford Bronco and Jeep Cherokee (specifically in Wagoneer guise) against each other. Driving manners and interior usability are considered in the evaluation, but Motorweek actually takes these vehicles off road, too. Among the bigger revelations is the improvement in on-road ability in the past 30 years. While specific 0-60 times aren't given, all three models take around 10 seconds just to get to around 50 miles per hour in the 500-feet on-ramp acceleration test. Check out this clip to see just how far this segment has progressed in the past three decades or just get a blast of nostalgia from these now vintage models.
