08 Wrangler with a 5.7L Hemi

AEV Conversion with Flowmaster Exhaust
(engine and trans is from a 2007 Commander, it had 8900 miles)
AEV hood
AEV 4.5 inch lift
Goodyear 37 MTR with Kevlar
AEV Bead Locks (spare is matching style but not a bead lock)
Rear Axle, Danatrac ProRock semi-float 60, with ARB locker
Front Axle, stock 44 housing with RCV shafts and ARB locker
Both driveshafts are Woody's
(The front housing is bent and needs replaced before this Jeep is taken for any hard core off-roading.)
Clayton arms
(Front and Back)
Redneck ram hydraulic steering assist
Matching Mopar off road bumpers
Warn Endurance 12.0 with green Am Steel and wireless remote
Steel skids front to back
(Skids are beat and the trans skid needs pressed and some of the bolt holes need tapped.)
ARB compressor
NAV
Dual tops
The whole interior was removed to apply a spray in bed liner.
OR sport cage
(Some of the bolts didn't thread all the way into the dash.)
Tuffy's, Conceal carry security drawer, security cargo drawer, console insert and glove box.
(the cargo drawer top was sprayed along with the tub. It needs few parts and has been well used.)

There aren't any large dents but the body is scratched up, a few trees have saved it from rolling. There are also several chips in the paint. The driver door hinges could use some work to get the door to swing perfectly. The front bumper is a little bent on the drivers side but its minor. Two of the rims are new. The Hard top could use a refinishing and there is a short hairline crack at one of the bolt hole. As long a you don't crank down to much its not a issue. It will be getting a new windshield so it won't have the JKX sticker anymore. The fenders need a reinstall and I have a 2nd set that I bought on Ebay and never used.

This Jeep needs work!  If your not willing to spend the money to at least replace the front housing do not bid. The RCV's have shattered the locker once. I'd recommend spending $10,000 on the matching 60. It could also use a set of shocks from Off Road Evolution.

This Jeep was built for one thing, to go hard off road! This jeep is a rocket and you can drive it flat-out all day as long as your don't have to turn. Its handling leave much to desire and the Ram takes a bit of getting used to. It has 4.88's so its not the rocket it once was but it still flies off the line. It gets horrible gas mileage, 19 gallons will get you 220-240 miles on a trip and it will eat a tank just running around over the weekend.

This is not a fire sale so the reserve is high but not unreasonable. I built this Jeep myself and have touched every bolt. I did the conversion at 20k at a BMW dealers body shop. I don't weld so one of there body guys helped with the conversion. It took 54 hours over tree day to install the engine and the AEV lift. I know I won't get anywhere near what I have in this Jeep and don't expect to. If you hired someone to build this Jeep you are looking at over 100K.

I ran over a Toyota Corolla when this Jeep was about a year or so old, which was before I modified any part of this Jeep.

Editors' Picks September 2021 | Genesis GV70, Grand Cherokee L and more

Mon, Oct 11 2021

This month of Editors' Picks saw us award the honor to a few top-notch crossovers and SUVs, plus one luxury sportback. Manufacturers keep rolling out excellent new crossovers, and the Genesis GV70 and Jeep Grand Cherokee L are great examples. Plus, living the good life with our long-term Hyundai Palisade has been evidence enough that it's worthy of an editors' pick. Read on below for the full breakdown and see what made the cut for September. In case you missed our previous Editors' Picks posts, here’s a quick refresher on whatÂ’s going on here. We rate all the new cars we drive with a 1-10 score. Cars that are exemplary in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. The list that youÂ’ll find below consists of every car we rated in August that earned an EditorsÂ’ Pick. 2022 Genesis GV70 2022 Genesis GV70 at Mt St Helens View 37 Photos Quick take: Genesis' first shot at a compact luxury crossover is a strong one that moves the segment forward and makes for an excellent alternative to one of the many other established options. Score: 8 What it competes with: BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Acura RDX, Volvo XC60, Lincoln Corsair, Infiniti QX50, Porsche Macan Pros: Gorgeous looks inside and out, forward-looking tech, good ride and handling balance Cons: Nothing budget about it, no true performance option From the editors Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — "Blending style and power, the GV70 shows Genesis is serious about delivering a strong execution in a critical segment. Props to Genesis for its risk-taking design, which has remade its lineup with confidence. The GV70 is just the latest in a series of wins for Genesis." In-depth analysis: 2022 Genesis GV70 First Drive Review | The real deal   2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L View 35 Photos Quick take: The 2022 Grand Cherokee L is inarguably immense, swank, and much better on-road than the previous SUV. It even keeps up the Jeep tradition of being great off-road while still carrying tons of passengers and gear.

FCA to idle Belvidere Jeep plant again for a week in February

Mon, Feb 3 2020

Bloomberg reports that Fiat Chrysler will shut down the Belvidere, Ill., plant that assembles the Jeep Cherokee for a week this month, starting February 17. FCA has been tweaking the plant's headcount and production schedule for a while now, usually downward. The automaker laid off 1,371 workers last February and fired 32 more in May, the same month it eliminated the third production shift. In August, the automaker shut down the plant for one week, then did so again for two weeks last month. As in August and January, FCA explained this month's idling by saying it needs to get production in alignment with demand. Cherokee sales declined 20% in the U.S. last year, helping to account for Jeep's overall 5% domestic drop in 2019. On top of the shutdown, FCA is offering buyouts to certain plant workers among the 3,600 hourly and 300 salaried personnel. The choices are either taking a "separation package" that comes with a $60,000 lump sum payment, or accepting voluntary termination that pays a lump sum based on seniority. Employees that choose a buyout can't return to Chrysler, becoming no longer "eligible for recall, rehire or reemployment." Belvidere personnel have until March 11 to make their decisions. Bloomberg says the aim is to reduce the number of workers with more seniority and higher pay grades; a company spokesperson said the move would "create opportunities for those employees still on layoff," who were lesser-paid. Around 900 of those laid-off workers remain on standby for reassignment to another plant. Analysts predict a soft year for car sales, so FCA might not be the only automaker pruning the rolls. Early estimates have come in below 17 million, and if that comes true, 2020 will be the slowest year since 2014, when 16,531,070 units left lots. The new contract between FCA and the UAW made provisions for Belvidere, which has tempered talk of a total shutdown. The automaker will invest $55 million for "fresh models/features off of the current (KL) platform" that underpins the Cherokee as well as the Chinese-market Jeep Grand Commander (it was previously used for the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200). Outside of that, some observers think the carmaker could be planning a three-row Chrysler crossover based on the KL platform, akin to the Grand Commander, for the United States. Fiat Centro Stile sells design sketches to support kids in Italy

Sun, Jun 21 2020

Fiat's Centro Stile design studio in Europe has kicked off a project called stART Again to support the global charity Save the Children. The studio put 136 high-resolution sketches of Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, and Lancia vehicles for download online at just ˆ20 a pop — about $22. The proceeds from all sales will be donated to a charity founded in England 101 years ago "to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts." Save the Children will use the funds to provide supplies, teaching materials, and support for studies for more than 100,000 children in the most disadvantaged areas of Italy who have been additionally harmed by the coronavirus and its effects. There are a heap of knockout drawings available. The selection at the Alfa Romeo store ranges from a 1958 Alfetta 158 racer to the coming Giulia GTA, classics in between including the immortal GTV 6 and the left-field 75 1.8 Turbo TCC racer. The Fiat marketplace contains wares from Abarth, Fiat, and Fiat Professional, with a massive emphasis on the new 500, but the hardcore 1972 Abarth 124 Spyder and oddball 900E van get slots in there (the 900E looks like a Volkswagen Vanagon, but the 900E came first). The Jeep shop is all business and big tires, save for the 1942 Willys MB, but someone needs to take the 1956 Jeep Forward Control sketch off the page and into reality. And the Lancia store has more to offer than the Stratos and Delta Integrale, an ominous Aurelia B20 GT and a Fulvia GT part of the five-model lineup. For some reason, Maserati got left out of the graphic bonanza, as did Ram, Dodge, and Chrysler, which is a shame. That still leaves 136 good reasons to click through and help the kiddies.
