1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer "wagonmaster" on 2040-cars

1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer "Wagonmaster" You're looking at a clean, well-documented 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with low original mileage. With only two previous owners, this Jeep has spent nearly its entire life of 25 years in sunny Florida. It was newly delivered to Royal Jeep-Eagle in Fern Park, FL in May 1989, then traded-in to Winter Park Motorcars in Winter Park, FL in 1999 with only 74,122 miles. From there, the vehicle was acquired by the world-famous Wagonmaster of Kerrville, TX and underwent an extensive renewal process (for details see the attached link - www.wagonmaster.com). The vehicle was sold by Wagonmaster to a caring new owner in Tallahasse, FL in August 1999. Since the original Wagonmaster restoration in 1999, the Jeep has been driven a little 8,000 miles.
The body has no dents and no visible rust. The undercarriage and floorboards are clean and dry - no evidence of undercoating or attempts to cover anything up. The Jeep appears to have been repainted to its original Sand color at some point. There is some minor paint fading on the roof and the fenders, and some oxidation on the chrome - all of which can be attributed to the Florida sun. These minor blemishes are un-noticeable from about 10 feet away, but are visible when up close as seen in the pictures. The wood/vinyl paneling and trim are in great condition. If you follow these vehicles, you'll know that it is nearly impossible to find a Wagoneer without wood paneling that is faded or cracked from the sun, and unfortunatley, the original replacement woodpaneling is now discontinued by Jeep (and the aftermarket replacement vinyl is either too yellow or too dark). On the inside, the leather seats are all in good condition with no rips. The rear cargo cover is intact and operates well (the cargo cover is usually missing other Wagoneers on the market). All the power windows and locks work. The engine is the original Jeep/AMC 360V8 coupled with its 3-speed "Torqueflight/727" transmission. The carburetor has also been recently rebuilt and runs smoothly. The previous owner recently installed a new set of Cooper Trendsetter whitewall tires all around with less than 1,000 miles on them, and a new set of rear shocks.
Along with the attached photos I am attaching an independent Carchex inspection report that I ordered prior to purchasing this vehicle (The Jeep's clean Carfax history report is also available for your review). I am also attaching the original new vehicle inspection and delivery sheet, as well as, the original odometer declaration card and starting instructions from Wagonmaster The vehicle is sold in as-is condition and is being sold locally - so I reserve the right to end the bid at any time. The Jeep is available for inspection locally and I'd be happy to answer any additional questions (best I can) or provide additional photos. These Jeeps are becoming harder to find especially in great condition as this one. In 2015, it is expected that Jeep will relauch the "Wagoneer" nameplate - so you can expect the value and demand for these Jeep to soar. You can buy this as an investment, as a solid base for restoring/customizing, use as your daily driver - you will get many waves and smiles along the way! Bid with confidence - good luck! |

Your 2018 Jeep Wrangler can already be fitted with a Chevy LS V8
Tue, Feb 13 2018Over a long enough period of time, every car model on the planet will probably have at least one example receive a Chevrolet V8. And a large number of them will have an LS-series V8, commonly found in Corvettes and Camaros from the last 20 years (plus other GM vehicles in slightly different forms). Sometimes it doesn't take very long, as is the case with the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL. The new Jeep has only been available for a couple of months, and already a company called Bruiser Conversions is offering to install LS engines under the hood. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Specifically, the company will install a GM Performance LS3 V8. Though Bruiser Conversions doesn't yet list exactly what specifications the engine has, it offers the LS3 in both 450- and 500-horsepower versions on the previous Wrangler JK generation. The new V8 will be fitted to the factory 8-speed automatic transmission, and the company says that the transmission will function exactly as it does with the original V6 or turbo inline-4. In addition, Bruiser Conversions says all factory gauges, cruise control, hill descent control and other electronic aids will work like they did from the factory. Pricing is currently not listed for the conversion, but the company is taking pre-orders for both in-shop installations and do-it-yourself kits. Going off the conversion costs for an older JK Wrangler, it will probably cost between $20,000 and $30,000 to have Bruiser Conversions do the installation. In the case of the JK kits, they're about $5,000 less than having Bruiser Conversions do the work. We've reached out to the company to see if we can get specific pricing and will update the post if and when we hear back. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. 2014 Easter Jeep Safari kicks off with six concepts
Thu, 10 Apr 2014The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari is set to begin this weekend in Moab, Utah, and while it's sure to be a blast for Jeep enthusiasts from all corners of the world, we're looking forward to the wild, off-road ready concepts that Jeep will be bringing to the red rocks. As you can see in our handy headline, there are six such vehicles in total, each of which sports a variety of tweaks and custom bits.
Unlike in years past, where Jeep graced us with some outrageous concepts like the Mighty FC or J-12, this year's vehicles are a bit more restrained and a bit more buildable by enthusiasts. That's not by accident, officials tell us. They wanted to put this year's focus on attainable vehicles and accessories from Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts that existing owners can use to augment their own vehicles. So let's get to it.
We'll start with the Wranglers first. There are three concepts of the jeepiest of Jeep coming to Moab - the Level Red, Maximum Performance and Mojo. The Level Red and the Mojo (seen above) are similar from a suspension and engine standpoint. Both boast a two-inch Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, which officials tell us is coming to market in the next few months. There are a pair of Dana 44 crate axles on both the front and rear, while a Jeep Performance Parts Rock-Trac transfer case has been fitted. The 3.6-liter V6 engines on both Jeeps can breathe a bit easier thanks to a new cold-air intake and exhaust system.
