This '64 Jeep Wagoneer was built under the Kaiser Jeep Corporation. The engine is a 230 cu in Tornado engine. It is the first overhead cam engine in an American vehicle in '64. It cruises on the interstate with no problems, and has plenty of torque. It has a 3 speed transmission with a good clutch and power steering. It has the rare, desirable early Gladiator front end that was available only in '64 and '65.It is radio delete with factory delete plate, and under dash casette player. This Wagoneer runs and drives great. It is in overall good driver condition. If you are looking for a very early Wagoneer with the rare Gladiator grill, this is an investment grade Jeep. Also included is a 1965 Wagoneer that is complete with V8, AT, PS, A/C 4X4. It is not running and comes with a bill of sale. I've owner these for over a year and thought about adding the V8, AT and A/C from the White '65 to the Red '64, but decided the '64 should be left original.

Everything works including all lights, wipers, gauges, horn, heater, AM radio, 4WD shifter. This has an all original interior which is rare, the front seat needs recovering. The steering wheel, horn button, and gauge cluster all look good with just the right amount of patina. All glass is original and good, all windows, including the rear window roll up and down with ease, and the doors close effortlessly with zero sag. I have the factory jack and lug wrench. I also have the original set of keys and Wagoneer tailgate emblem.

The entire vehicle is solid and in good condition. It has been well maintained and garage kept. Please come check her out and for yourself, or have a mechanic inspect it locally. Fly in and drive it home, or have it transported. I have a reasonable and reliable transport company I can refer to the buyer.

Most all the paint is original. The rear quarters received patching and were repainted.  The door jambs, engine bay and interior paint is all original. It has a good street tires on the factory rims and hubcaps. The front floors have been patched over the years, and the body has minor scratches, dings and dents, considering it's about to be 50 years old, it is in good condition. Sold as is with no warranty. Sold with clear title. I reserve the right to end the auction early because it is listed elsewhere online. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due at auctions end, and the balance within 3 days either cash or bank wire. Thanks for looking.

Jeep will show new Grand Wagoneer to dealers this summer

Mon, Jun 8 2015

It's generally accepted that the Jeep Cherokee was the first real midsize sport utility vehicle to make headway into the hearts, minds and driveways of American consumers in 1984. While that SUV was aimed at the mainstream, it could be argued that the vehicle that made the idea of a luxury SUV possible was the seminal Jeep Grand Wagoneer. We've been hearing rumblings of a revived Grand Wagoneer for years, but if a report from Automotive News is accurate (despite the fact that it seemingly contradicts an earlier report from the same outlet), the wait may nearly be over. Jeep plans to show off its new Grand Wagoneer at the upcoming dealer show in Las Vegas in August, and while that doesn't give any real indication of when such a vehicle may make it into the hands of consumers, such news probably at least means the automaker has a finalized design. While we're mostly over retro-inspired cars, we'll happily cast a vote toward a three-row Grand Wagoneer with faux woodie body sides, if anyone cares to tally it... 2018 Jeep Wrangler Buying Guide | Answers to your SUV questions

Sun, May 20 2018

There are few truly one-of-a-kind vehicles, but the Jeep Wrangler remains one of them. Available in traditional two-door form, or as the four-door Unlimited model, this proudly square-shaped SUV traces its origins back to the battlefields of World War II. While its shape seemingly hasn't changed much over the years, the 2018 Wrangler has been completely redesigned inside and out. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and all-wheel drive are standard across the extensive Wrangler lineup, including rock-crawling versions like the highly regarded Rubicon model. While it doesn't have any direct rivals, some buyers might prefer an SUV with more refined ride and handling characteristics. The Wrangler's solid front and rear axles' primary purpose is off-road adventure, not on-road comfort, no matter how much it's been improved over its predecessor. Here you'll find all the information needed to make an educated buying decision if you're considering a 2018 Jeep Wrangler including safety and reliability ratings, engine specs, horsepower, fuel economy ratings and pricing. We'll also summarize what Autoblog's professional auto reviewers think of the Wrangler. Is the 2018 Jeep Wrangler Safe? The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not given the 2018 Jeep Wrangler an overall safety rating. However, the 2018 Wrangler is listed as scoring three out of five stars in frontal crash tests and rollover resistance. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, which provides ratings for new vehicles based on its own comprehensive crash tests, did not give the 2017 model year (previous generation) Wrangler, the last one fully-tested, a recommended rating. The 2017 Wrangler scored a "marginal" rating for driver side safety in the small overlap frontal crash test (a passenger side rating was not recorded). Side impact performance came in at a "poor" rating, as did overall headlight performance. One bright spot in an otherwise dismal safety score was the Wrangler's "good" rating in the moderate overlap front crash test. Ratings may differ for Wrangler models from other model years, so be sure to visit the https://www.nhtsa.gov/ NHTSA and http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratingsIIHS websites to review ratings on the specific vehicle you're researching. At the time of this writing, the 2018 Wrangler is subject to one ongoing recall involving 106 vehicles.

Say goodbye to the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200

Wed, Jan 27 2016

Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne outlined an update to the company's five-year business plan Wednesday, and among the changes, the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 sedans will soon be phased out. The company's presentation to investors states that the "market shift from cars to trucks and UVs [utility vehicles is] now seen as permanent shift in demand," and FCA wants to respond as quickly as possible. Killing the 200 and Dart will allow FCA to build more Jeep and Ram models at the Sterling Heights, MI, and Belvidere, IL, plants where the sedans were produced. We already knew FCA was planning to shift 200 and Dart production to Mexico, to free up the Sterling Heights facility for Ram 1500 production, and the Belivdere site for Jeep Cherokee output. The Cherokee will move from its current home in Toledo, OH, to allow for increased Wrangler production. It's no shock that FCA wants to shift its focus to crossovers and trucks. In December 2015, for example, combined sales of the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200 were 15,310. The Jeep Cherokee, which uses the same platform as the Dart and 200, outsold both models combined, with 24,049 sales. Both the Dart and 200 had troubles from the beginning. Marchionne recently blamed designers for the 200 not receiving a Consumer Reports 'recommended' rating, and the Dart was one of the lowest-scoring cars in a CR reliability study.
