2007 JEEP LIBERTY SPORT 4X4 3.7L V6 BODY MAN'S SPECIAL FORMER BANK REPOSSESSION PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING We at CAMPBELL BROTHERS AUTO SALES INC. are offering for sale this 2007 JEEP LIBERTY 4X4 with a 3.7L V6 and AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. We purchased this vehicle from a bank as a repossession and it is in need of body and light mechanical repair. This Liberty has body damage to the following areas. Dent on the left front fender along with fender flare missing, light damage to left front door, left rear view mirror glass missing, right front door molding loose, right rear door molding missing, 12 inch scratch with light crease on the hood, small crack on the grill and paint peeling on wheels. All damage is light and only on the panels listed. All other body panels are in good condition. The vehicle starts, runs, and is drivable. The engine does occasionally develop a light miss at idle. It usually goes away when you rev the engine up. We have not had it proffesionally diagnose but can not foresee it being anything serious. Probably just needs a tune up. The interior is excessively dirty. It has multiple burns and stains. The interior will clean up but it will take some work and time. This vehicle could go either way, you could spend a little time and money on it and have cheap 4x4 SUV transportation. Or.... you could do nothing and make it your cheap off-road toy. We'll leave that up to the buyer. The Jeep Liberty is one of the more popular SUV's on the road today. Kelly Blue Book Retail is over $7,000. Next Jeep Wrangler spotted with 8-speed and EcoDiesel
Tue, Jun 21 2016Although it may not look like it, there are big changes coming to the next-generation Wrangler. The 2018 model will use aluminum for weight savings, spawn a pickup version, and offer new engines. This latest set of spy images brings confirmation of two new powertrain items. The spy photos below show a Wrangler mule with the current interior and an eight-speed automatic shifter fitted in place of the old five-speed unit. (There's a comparison photo in the gallery.) The shifter design matches that of the refreshed Dodge Charger and Challenger; the final Jeep version is likely to differ, but this clearly indicates what kind of transmission is underneath. Chrysler builds eight-speed automatics from a ZF design and also uses some transmissions built by ZF. View 4 Photos While it's not visible in the photos, the unmistakable sound of a diesel was heard coming from this Jeep. The EcoDiesel V6 is expected to be available alongside a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is rumored to have the code name "Hurricane." The turbo four may completely replace the current gas V6 or be offered in addition. There's a good chance the eight-speed will also be paired with the Hurricane engine, since improved fuel economy is a goal for the new model across the board. We don't yet know whether a manual transmission will be offered again, but it's a pretty good bet for one of the gas engines since many diehard off-roaders prefer the ultimate control. Supplier says Jeep Cherokee hack only affects FCA cars
Wed, Aug 5 2015Harman doesn't think that drivers need to worry about any further hacks of its products. The company supplies FCA's Uconnect infotainment system where a software vulnerability is responsible for a 1.4-million vehicle recall. "This experimental hack is unique to Chrysler," Harman CEO Dinesh Paliwal said to Automotive News. "This does not exist, to our assessment, in any other vehicle." The reason that the company wouldn't be involved is that automakers aren't simply plugging in the existing infotainment systems into new vehicles. According to Paliwal, Harman supplies the unit, but FCA and other automakers are able to make additional modifications for their vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has also recently taken up the question of broader software vulnerabilities in Harman's products. On July 29, the agency began investigating the company to check for similarities between Uconnect and the infotainment systems supplied to other automakers. The Jeep hack became national news when two researchers were remotely able to take control of a Cherokee. The vulnerability in the cellular connection even gave control over the brakes. "Once people get in the car and get into the CAN bus, then you can start to mimic and mess up many, many things in the car," Paliwal said to Automotive News. Politicians immediately responded with legislation to create federal standards in hopes of protecting drivers better. 2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.
