I am selling my personal vehicle. My husband is a car dealer for the past 25 years and I get a new vehicle every 2 years or so. I am selling this car because he just purchased another car for me. My car is always maintained by his mechanic, with the oil being changed every 3000 miles or 3 months which ever comes first. This car has never been in an accident, and I am a non smoker, the car is garage kept most of the time. The car runs and drives excellent. Everything works on the car as it should. The Jeep is loaded with options. It is equipped with the very dependable 4.0 six cylinder engine, Automatic Overdrive Transmission, Select Trac Shift on the fly 4 Wheel Drive, this is not the all wheel drive version but rather the system that let you choose the type of drive you want(ex. 2wd hi, part time 4wd, full time 4wd hi or full time 4wd lo) Trail Rated Package, Air Conditioning(ice cold in the summer) Factory Power Sunroof, Power Windows and Locks, Power Drivers Seat, Power Mirrors, Remote keyless Entry, Power Steering and Brakes, Tilt Wheel, Cruise Control, Intermitent Wipers, Rear Wiper and Defroster, Split Fold Down Rear Seats, Roof Rack, The tires are in very good Condition on Factory Alloy Wheels, My husband gets lightly damaged vehicles from the insurance and either fixs them or sells them for the do it yourselfer. This vehicle was parked near the owners house when the house caught fire. The car was not burned, but the front bumper, grill and hood were scourched. My husband replaced these parts with brand new parts and painted only the hood of the car, the rest of the paint on the car is all factory original as the vehicle has never been in an accident. I have included pictures from all angles to show the car. You can drive this car home with a temp tag from Pennsylvania. The car was inspected by the Pennsylvania Enhanced inspection Process and passed with no defects, the car has since twice passed the yearly Pennsylvania Standard Safety and Emissions inspection as required in Pennsylvania. The average NADA retail price for this car is $8575, the reserve on this car is well below that. Do to all the scammers and such I will only accept cash in person on pick up or bank wire transfer for payment, these are Ebay approved payment methods. Paypal is not accepted for automobile purchases only deposits. I do not require a deposit after the auction, I am honest and will hold the car for the winning bidder. I do require that when you win the auction that you contact me within 24 hours to let me know about your payment and pick up/shipping plans and I request that you make full payment within 3 days unless you are picking the car up in person.

Video charts evolution of Jeep from military vehicle to SUV powerhouse

Tue, Nov 14 2017

Here's a fun new video from our car-obsessed friends at Donut Media. It shows the evolution of the iconic Jeep from its World War II roots to the forthcoming 2019 Scrambler pickup in a little over two minutes. Using illustrations and audio of Jeep engines and broadcast advertising spots, it's a fascinating look at the common traits that have persisted over more than 75 years and changing consumer preferences. Three companies originally responded to the U.S. Army's request in 1940 for proposals to make a quarter-ton "light reconnaissance vehicle" tailored to its specs — Bantam, Ford and Willys. The video starts by showing all three early contenders — the Bantam Reconnaissance Car, Ford Pygmy and Willys MB, which was based on the Willys-Overland "Quad" prototype, named for the 4x4 system it utilized. Willys eventually won the contract in 1941 to build 16,000 revised MB models for American and Allied forces. Willys would trademark the Jeep name in 1945 with its CJ-2A, a Civilian Jeep geared toward farmers. As the video shows, Jeep really started to diversify its body styles and colors in the 1970s and '80s under the ownership of American Motors Corp., which purchased the money-losing Jeep brand in 1970 from Kaiser-Jeep, which itself had acquired the brand from Willys in 1953. The '70s brought models like the CJ-5 Renegade and CJ-5 Laredo, and the video includes updates including the second-generation Wrangler Unlimited in 2004 and the Wrangler-based Scrambler pickup. Chrysler purchased Jeep from American Motors in 1987, shortly after the debut of the Jeep Wrangler, and has managed to hold onto the brand and ride it to success despite its own bumpy ownership trials and tribulations since then. Despite the many owners over time, Jeep has maintained its headquarters all along in Toledo, Ohio.

Drive like a prince: Join us for a walk through Monaco's car collection

Fri, Dec 29 2023

Small, crowded, and a royal pain in the trunk lid to drive into during rush hour, Monaco sounds like an improbable location for a huge car museum. And yet, this tiny city-state has been closely linked to car culture for over a century. It hosts two major racing events every year, many of its residents would qualify for a frequent shopper card if Rolls-Royce issued one, and Prince Rainier III began assembling a collection of cars in the late 1950s. He opened his collection to the public in 1993 and the museum quickly turned into a popular tourist attraction. The collection continued to grow after his death in April 2005; it moved to a new facility located right on Hercules Port in July 2022. Monaco being Monaco, you'd expect to walk into a room full of the latest, shiniest, and most powerful supercars ever to shred a tire. That's not the case: while there is no shortage of high-horsepower machines, the first cars you see after paying ˆ10 (approximately $11) to get in are pre-war models. In that era, the template for the car as we know it in 2023 hadn't been created, so an eclectic assortment of expensive and dauntingly experimental machines roamed whatever roads were available to them. One is the Leyat Helica, which was built in France in 1921 with a 1.2-liter air-cooled flat-twin sourced from the world of aviation. Fittingly, the two-cylinder spun a massive, plane-like propeller. Government vehicles get a special spot in the museum. They range from a Cadillac Series 6700 with an amusing blend of period-correct French-market yellow headlights and massive fins to a 2011 Lexus LS 600h with a custom-made transparent roof panel that was built by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet for Prince Albert II's wedding. Here's where it all gets a little weird: you've got a 1952 Austin FX3, a Ghia-bodied 1959 Fiat 500 Jolly, a 1960 BMW Isetta, and a 1971 Lotus Seven. That has to be someone's idea of a perfect four-car garage.  One of the most significant cars in the collection lurks in the far corner of the main hall, which is located a level below the entrance. At first glance, it's a kitted-out Renault 4CV with auxiliary lights, a racing number on the front end, and a period-correct registration number issued in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France. It doesn't look all that different than the later, unmodified 4CV parked right next to it. Here's what's special about it: this is one of the small handful of Type 1063 models built by Renault for competition.
