Vehicle Description:

This is a 7-Day NO RESERVE auction for a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited!  HIGH BIDDER WINS!

Wow!! Low-Mileage Find!  Only 69K original miles on this 1994 Jeep!  Check out the pictures & video!

This car runs & drives very well!  The 5.2 L engine runs strong with plenty of power.  The automatic transmission shifts smooth with no issues.  This Jeep was traded in to a new-car Nissan dealership in NW Ohio and I purchased this Jeep from them.  This Jeep is loaded with all the options like power/heated leather seats, power windows and locks, cruise control, air conditioning, and so much more.  Only 2 owners and zero accident history per autocheck!     Engine & Transmission are 100%.  I have not noticed any leaks on the ground where this Jeep has been sitting.  The brakes stop the car smooth and straight.  While driving the steering & suspension components appears to be in good shape.  Particular buyers will note perhaps a little suspension noise from the right front when hitting bumps.  Gold alloy wheels!  The 4 matching Goodyear Wrangler tires have plenty of tread remaining and the vehicle drives straight down the road.  Spare tire with cover is located in the rear cargo area.  No vibrations at all when driving except for a very small vibration above 67 MPH -- feels like one tire may be slightly out of balance but overall a very smooth riding vehicle.   All the power options work like they should.  The automatic climate control works and this Jeep blows air on all blower levels and wherever you want it to (vents, defroster, etc).   For full disclosure - when I first purchased the vehicle the A/C was blowing warm air, I recharged it and it is still working after one week but there may be a small leak somewhere in the system.  The Jeep is equipped with the Infinity Gold sound system AM/FM/CD - the radio powers up just fine but it is missing the antenna so there is little reception and the display isn't lighting up on the radio.  The ABS dash light is on but there are no other "dummy lights" illuminated.  All of the gauges read properly and there are no abnormal readings. The engine runs smooth with no lack of power at all - when it is first started after sitting the idle has a very slight miss but it goes away after running for a few minutes and the engine never misses when given throttle.  The keyless entry fob is currently not operational but is included.  Cosmetically -- this car looks is in good shape. The exterior paint is in good condition.  There is some rust behind each of the front wheels and a little on the front of the hood but overall it is not bad for a 20 year old Jeep in the northern part of the country.  The frame has some rust near the right front lower control arm, I have tried to take pictures of the underside to show this please see them below and take this into consideration.   The interior is in EXCELLENT condition with no rips or major discoloration.  High quality floor mat cover in the cargo area.  Check out the pictures - they speak for themselves!  I have tried to capture both the positives and the flaws in those pictures.  The paint is a little faded on the top of the side trim moldings and some small scratches that have been touched up near the left rear wheel well.   The headrests for the rear seats are missing.  These are minor imperfections that are consistent with the vehicle age.  This is a rare opportunity to own a low-mile vehicle!

I have tried my best to represent this vehicle accurately and to the best of my abilities.  Earning and keeping a 100% positive feedback rating is very important to me!  I purchase most of my vehicles as trade-ins from new car dealerships as traded. I test drive each vehicle on the expressway and around town for at least 20 miles, often over 100 miles, and use that experience to represent the vehicle to you on eBay.  Please remember that you are buying a used vehicle and that a certain amount of wear/use/flaws are to be expected on any used vehicle -- including this one.  You are welcome and encouraged to come check out this vehicle for yourself and take it for a test drive before the auction ends.  I have included over 50 pictures and a YouTube video - please check out them out.   Feel free to email/call me (Michael) at 734-717-3653 with specific questions and I will do my best to answer them.

2016 Jeep Wrangler to ditch solid axles to save weight?

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

Hey, Jeep fans. If you think the idea of a funky-looking, car-based Cherokee revival is offensive, have a listen to what might be in store for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy.
We've already heard the next Wrangler will go on a serious diet using aluminum body panels and an air suspension system, so the idea of a four-wheel independent suspension setup for this OG SUV isn't all that surprising. Besides, it's not like an independent suspension would limit the Wrangler's off-road abilities - just check out the Hummer H1. In fact, it might be the aftermarket parts companies - not Wrangler enthusiasts - who would be most disappointed by such a drastic suspension change, as the article states that the Wrangler's solid axles and coil-link suspension make it the most popular SUV for customization.
There are probably still a couple years before we'll start hearing any concrete details about the 2016 Wrangler, at which time it will be interesting to see how stricter fuel economy and crash safety regulations have been balanced with traditional Wrangler cues like its removable doors and roof and folding windshield. Let us know in the comments below if a Wrangler sans solid axles is any less of a Wrangler.

The UAW's 'record contract' hinges on pensions, battery plants

Thu, Oct 12 2023

DETROIT - After nearly four weeks of disruptive strikes and hard bargaining, the United Auto Workers and the Detroit Three automakers have edged closer to a deal that could offer record-setting wage gains for nearly 150,000 U.S. workers. General Motors, Ford Motor and Chrysler parent Stellantis have all agreed to raise base wages by between 20% and 23% over a four-year deal, according to union and company statements. Ford and Stellantis have agreed to reinstate cost-of-living adjustments, or COLA. The companies have offered to boost pay for temporary workers and give them a faster path to full-time, full-wage status. All three have proposed slashing the time it takes a new hire to get to the top UAW pay rate. The progress in contract talks follows the first-ever simultaneous strike by the UAW against Detroit's Big Three automakers. The union began the strike on Sept. 15 in hopes of forcing a better deal from each major automaker. But coming close to a deal is not the same thing as reaching a deal. Big obstacles remain on at least two major UAW demands: restoring the retirement security provided by pre-2007 defined benefit pension plans, and covering present and future joint- venture electric vehicle battery plants under the union's master contracts with the automakers. On retirement, none of the automakers has agreed to restore pre-2007 defined-benefit pension plans for workers hired after 2007. Doing so could force the automakers to again burden their balance sheets with multibillion-dollar liabilities. GM and the former Chrysler unloaded most of those liabilities in their 2009 bankruptcies. The union and automakers have explored an approach to providing more income security by offering annuities as an investment option in their company-sponsored 401(k) savings plans, people familiar with the discussions said. Stellantis referred to an annuity option as part of a more generous 401(k) proposal on Sept. 22. Annuities or similar instruments could give UAW retirees assurance of fixed, predictable payouts less dependent on stock market ups and downs, experts said. Recent changes in federal law have removed obstacles to including annuities as a feature of corporate 401(k) plans, said Olivia Mitchell, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and an expert on pensions and retirement. "Retirees want a way to be assured they won't run out of money," Mitchell said.

Anton Yelchin's family suing FCA over the actor's death

Wed, Aug 3 2016

UPDATE: Anton Yelchin received a recall notification for his Grand Cherokee a week after his death, family attorney Gary Dordick told Variety at a press conference. Dordick called FCA's recall "way too little and way too late." The family of actor Anton Yelchin is suing FCA for negligence and product liability, according to Automotive News. Yelchin was killed in June when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled away, pinning him against a brick pillar and a gate. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, along with 1.1 million other FCA products, is currently under recall for a poorly designed shifter that may lead drivers to believe the car is in park when it isn't. Vehicles affected by the recall are at risk of rolling away. The recall was issued two months before Yelchin's death on June 19. It's believed that this is the first wrongful death lawsuit related to the recall. Although the shifter recall is linked to hundreds of injuries, Yelchin's death is currently the only fatality. There is a class-action lawsuit currently being filed against the automaker. FCA, in a statement to Automotive News, declined to comment and said it had not been served with a lawsuit. The automaker continues to urge drivers to follow the instructions in their owner's manual and become familiar with the instructions that were included with the recall notice. Related Video:
