2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland With Long Arm Lift on 2040-cars
Bridgeport, West Virginia, United States
|
WELCOME TO OUR LISTING, WE HAVE OWNED THIS JEEP SINCE 2008 AND IT HAS NEVER LEFT S SITTING. IT IS AN OVERLAND WITH JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU CAN GET ON AN 04 EXCEPT FOR NAVIGATION. IT HAS A COMBINATION BDS 4" SUSPENSION LIFT WITH 2" SPACERS AND AN IRON ROCK OFF ROAD HIGH CLEARANCE FRONT LONG ARM CONVERSION, BILSTEIN 5100 SHOCKS ON ALL 4 CORNERS. THERE IS NO GOING BACK TO STOCK AS THE LCA MOUNTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED TO FIT THE LONG ARM. YES......IT DOES DRIVE LIKE A LIFTED JEEP, AND IF THAT DOESN'T APPEAL TO YOU THEN THIS ISN'T THE JEEP FOR YOU. IT DOES HAVE A RECONSTRUCTED TITLE DUE TO A COLLISION IN 2007 . IT RIDES VERY WELL, RUNS GREAT AND SHIFTS CRISP. MY WIFE HAS DRIVING THIS JEEP SINCE DAY ONE AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD. BODY IS VERY CLEAN FOR AN 04 WITH THE EXCEPTION OF PASSENGER SIDE LOWER MOLDING ON DOOR AND FENDER HAVING SOME SCUFFS AND A DING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR. WINDOW MOLDINGS DO NEED REPLACED, THERE IS A RUST SPOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR HATCH ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER, AND IT NEEDS THE MUFFLER REPLACED BECAUSE IT DOES HAVE A LEAK, REMOVED INNER FENDERS DUE TO RUBBING WHEN IT WAS ON THE 4" LIFT, RUBBING NO LONGER OCCURS SO INNER FENDERS COULD BE REPLACED. OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED REGULARLY, MOST OF THE FRONT TIE RODS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED, PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEARING IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD, TIRES ARE GOODYEAR DURATRAC AND ABOUT HALF TREAD. THIS JEEP IS PART OF MY FAMILY AND I WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY LOW-BALL/HALF-COCKED OFFERS. WE HATE TO SELL HER BUT WE HAVE PURCHASED A NEW CAR FOR MY WIFE (AND THE JEEP LOST ITS SPOT IN THE GARAGE) SO ITS TIME FOR IT TO GO TO A LOVING HOME WITH ROOM IN THE GARAGE FOR THIS BEAUTY. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO AS AND I WILL RESPOND AS QUICKLY AS I CAN. ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. BID ONLY IF YOU PLAN TO OWN.

Jeep Patriot replacement adopts tiny Grand Cherokee styling
Thu, Jun 16 2016After almost a year out of the spotlight, we've finally snagged our second set of images of Jeep's new CUV. Set to replace both the Patriot and Compass, these latest images reinforce what we originally thought about Jeep's newest model – it's a baby Grand Cherokee. These 15 images provide the best look yet at the new sheetmetal, details, and interior. Starting with the skin, it's like Jeep's designers scaled down the Grand Cherokee's profile to fit on the new crossover's stretched Renegade platform. The headlights, grille, and taillights looked like shrunken items from Jeep's flagship crossover, too. This is good news – even after its 2011 facelift the Compass was a homely little thing, and the Patriot was boxy at a time when CUVs were going for smoother, more aerodynamic lines. Jeep's new CUV is avoiding those mistakes by aping one of the company's most popular designs. Only the driver's seat, steering wheel, and center stack appear in the interior images, so we can't tell how the stretched chassis impacts rear-seat legroom compared to the Renegade/Fiat 500X. But in front, it looks like a Jeep – FCA's corporate steering wheel and HVAC controls are present and accounted for, but the usual touchscreen display looks bigger the expected 8.4-inch unit. That could just be the camera angle playing tricks on our eyes. We can't make any judgments about the material choices, but we'd expect quality to be on par with the larger Cherokee. Under hood, our spies report that FCA's nine-speed automatic will be the only transmission choice. FCA will call on its new 2.0-liter, Hurricane four-cylinder engine, the spies claim, but we also expect the less powerful 2.4-liter, four-cylinder from the Renegade and Cherokee. Apparently, production will begin by the end of the year. Short of a shotgun launch immediately after a Detroit debut, that virtually guarantees a debut in Los Angeles (or possibly Paris). Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?
Thu, 20 Feb 2014Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.
Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer
Sat, 09 Nov 2013Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
