HELLO, YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 2002 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO 2WD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THE JEEP IS PRETTY SOLID DESPITE THE MILEAGE AND HAS BEEN A GREAT DAILY DRIVER FOR MY FAMILY SINCE 2003 WHEN PURCHASED. IT HAS 230944 MILES ON IT AND HAS THE USUAL WEAR INSIDE AND OUT OF A TRUCK WITH HIGH MILE. THAT BEING SAID THE INTERIOR IS IN GREAT SHAPE WITH MINOR CARPET ABUSE, AND THE LEATHER SEATS ARE STILL IN AMAZING SHAPE NO RIPS OR TEARS. THE FACTORY RADIO TOOK A DUMP YEARS AGO AND WAS REPLACED WITH A SINGLE CD PIONEER UNIT. A/C BLOWS COLD TRANS SHIFTS GREAT AND IS A GREAT DRIVER. THE WINDOW MOTOR/REGULATORS SUFFERED THE SAME FATE AS ALL JEEPS OF THIS BODY STYLE, AND I GOT TIRED OF REPLACING THEM SO ONLY THE DRIVERS WINDOW FUNCTIONS THE OTHER THREE ARE FROZEN IN THE CLOSED POSITION. THE ENGINE RUNS STRONG BUT HAS DEVELOPED WHAT MY LOCAL AUTO REPAIR FACILITY REFERS TO AS A LITTLE TOP END VALVE TRAIN NOISE DUE TO THE MILEAGE. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM AS OF NOW AND COULD PROVIDE YEARS OF SERVICE BEFORE HAVING TO SERVICE/REPAIR. IT HAS ALMOST BRAND NEW(3/4 TREAD OR BETTER) MICHELIN LTX TIRES ON IT. BRAKES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE WITH AROUND 50% PAD LIFE LEFT ALL AROUND. THE SUPPORT GAS SHOCKS FOR THE HOOD AND REAR GLASS ARE WORN OUT, THE SUPPORT SHOCKS FOR THE MAIN LIFT GATE ARE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE PAINT IS IN OK SHAPE BUT HAS A ROUGH TOUCH UP SPOT ON THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR AND A FEW SCUFFS HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING HORRIBLE. THERE IS A DENT IN THE LIFT GATE WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURES AND A DENT IN THE UPPER PASSENGER DOOR. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON FOR AN EVAPROTIVE EMISSIONS SMALL LEAK CODE. NO RUST AT ALL AND CLEAN UNDERNEATH AS WELL AS ENGINE BAY. HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN REFINISHED A FEW TIMES BUT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE READY FOR A TOUCH UP AGAIN. I AM SELLING THIS VEHICLE FOR THE REASON OF OUTGROWING THE SIZE OF THE TRUCK (KIDS) OTHERWISE I WOULD STILL BE DRIVING IT EVERYDAY! I HAVE SET A VERY REASONABLE RESERVE PRICE SO DONT LET THE RESERVE SCARE YOU AWAY. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS OR REQUEST ANY OTHER PICTURES AND I WILL TRY MY BEST TO RESPOND. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING---HAPPY BIDDING!!!

Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer
Sat, 09 Nov 2013Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
Stellantis is official: FCA and PSA merger finally sealed
Sat, Jan 16 2021MILAN — Fiat Chrysler and PSA sealed their long-awaited merger on Saturday to create Stellantis, the world's fourth-largest auto group with deep enough pockets to fund the shift to electric driving and take on bigger rivals Toyota and Volkswagen. It took over a year for the Italian-American and French automakers to finalize the $52 billion deal, during which the global economy was upended by the COVID-19 pandemic. They first announced plans to merge in October 2019, to create a group with annual sales of around 8.1 million vehicles. "The merger between Peugeot S.A. and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. that will lead the path to the creation of Stellantis N.V. became effective today," the two automakers said in a statement. Shares in Stellantis, which will be headed by current PSA Chief Executive Carlos Tavares, will start trading in Milan and Paris on Monday, and in New York on Tuesday. Now analysts and investors are turning their focus to how Tavares plans to address the huge challenges facing the group – from excess production capacity to a woeful performance in China. Tavares will hold his first press conference as Stellantis CEO on Tuesday, after ringing NYSE's bell with Chairman John Elkann. FCA and PSA have said Stellantis can cut annual costs by over 5 billion euros ($6.1 billion) without plant closures, and investors will be keen for more details on how it will do this. Marco Santino, a partner at consultants Oliver Wyman, said he expected Tavares to disclose the outlines of his action plan soon, but without divulging too many details at first. "He has proven to be the kind of person who prefers action to words, so I don't think he will make loud statements or try to over-sell targets," he said. Like all global automakers, Stellantis needs to invest billions in the years ahead to transform its vehicle range for the electric era. But other pressing tasks loom, including reviving the group's lagging fortunes in China, rationalizing its huge global empire and addressing massive overcapacity. "It will be a step by step process, also to allow the market to better appreciate every single move. I don't think we will have all the details before one year," Santino said.
3-row Jeep Wrangler, V8 Kaiser ambulance, and more from Mopar for SEMA
Fri, Oct 29 2021SEMA is back this year, and as is tradition, the American Stellantis brands Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Mopar are bringing some truly amazing concepts to the show. The brands have come up with seven vehicles, four from Jeep, two from Ram and one from Dodge. Some of them show off the current Mopar catalog and possible future parts, while others are just really cool customs. Let's check them out. Jeep Wrangler Overlook Jeep Wrangler Overlook concept View 8 Photos We're starting off with perhaps the most interesting of the concepts on display, the Jeep Wrangler Overlook. And you'll notice right off the bat that it's longer than your average Wrangler Unlimited. It's actually a full foot longer. And it doesn't just add cargo space, it adds passenger space. There's a third row of seats in the Overlook. Those seats also necessitated the safari-style custom rear roof. It's 5 inches taller than a regular Wrangler roof to provide headroom for rear occupants. It also made room for the extra windows. Front passengers also get a fancy single-piece roof section with a pop-up glass section, and the interior features black leather and bronze accents. Other body changes include a custom hood, a narrower front bumper for improved approach angle and a widened rear bumper to protect the longer tail. It also gets custom front bumper lights, Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) A-pillar lights and tubular side steps. The Overlook also rides on the Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) 2-inch lift kit with Fox shocks and 20-inch wheels with 37-inch tires. We wouldn't have thought a three-row Wrangler would be something that would reach production, and it's still unlikely. But, this looks really good. And when Land Rover already offers a third row in the Defender, and is working on a stretched version, we're starting to wonder if Jeep should think about an even more stretched Wrangler. Kaiser Jeep M725 Kaiser Jeep M725 concept View 11 Photos Next up is this year's resto-mod from the Stellantis crew. They found an old Kaiser Jeep M725 military ambulance and did a few things to make it a more modern, go-anywhere super tailgater. Under the hood is a 485-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 paired to an old-school TorqueFlight 727 automatic transmission, shifted by a B&M shifter housed in a repurposed ammunition box. It's still four-wheel drive and has the old axles, but they're attached via a coil-spring suspension instead of the original leaf packs.
