This 5.9 Limited has been garaged most of its life and was mainly used for trips and vacations. These were only offered for one year only in three different colors and at the time were the fastest factory SUV/Jeep ever at least until the SRT-8 GC came along. But try towing 5000lbs or going off road with an SRT-8.... its not happening. This 5.9 has the original motor and transmission with no smoke, no active drips or slips. A/C blows cold and all switches and powered accessories work including power seats tops/bottoms, seat heat, heated mirrors, sunroof and factory alarm with key fob. If you know what a 5.9 Limited has to offer you know what these Jeeps bring to the table, they are fully loaded and truly are Grand Cherokee's are on steroids. This one is no slouch it gets with the program on any terrain, it is still a Jeep after all. The reason for the sale is that I'm thinning my herd of unique vehicles and there is another vehicle I'd like to obtain. The title is clear and in my name. I recently installed a new water pump, a new alternator and rebuilt the Dana 44A rear end with Timken bearings. It also has a K&N filter and Optima Red top battery. The only negatives are the headliner is starting to sag in spots, paint on hood is thin and it needs a hatch strut. Just in case you did not know, here is a list of unique items a 5.9 Limited offers, pay attention to the performance aspect wiki did not list it but they also came with a different cam profile, performance computer tune with advanced timing and magnum heads:
The Grand Cherokee 5.9 further included additional performance-enhancing features including:
- A stronger 46RE transmission than the 5.2
- Quadratrac heavy duty NV249 transfer case
- Standard trac-lock rear differential
- An electric fan
- A high-output 150A alternator
- Lower restriction 2.75" exhaust and 3" chrome plated exhaust tip.
This 5.9 Limited Grand Cherokee is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is more expensive than the Dodge Demon
Tue, Aug 8 2017Jeep has finally released pricing for its crazy, all-wheel-drive, Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee, and it's seriously expensive. It starts at $86,995. That's a full $2,000 more than the limited-production, 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. For 140 fewer horses, and a quarter-mile time that's 2seconds slower (11.6 seconds vs. 9.6), you'll spend more money. Then again, the Grand Cherokee can do things the Demon and the Hellcats can't. It's got more space than any of them, meaning you can carry quite a bit more. It's capable of towing up to 7,200 pounds of stuff. It also has all-wheel drive, which means you have a little extra traction in bad weather, and you have the opportunity to do spectacular four-wheel burnouts. And of course, the Trackhawk is still fast and capable by any measure. It's only a tenth of a second slower to 60 mph than the Challenger Hellcat Widebody. It also comes with massive Brembo brakes, with the largest front rotors fitted to a Jeep, to haul it down from 60 mph in a claimed 114 feet. Each corner features 295-mm tires that Jeep claims let the Trackhawk generate 0.88g circling a skid pad. If the Trackhawk sounds like just the absurd performance machine you've been waiting for, you'll be able to put your order in soon. Dealers will accept orders starting Aug. 10, and the vehicles will start arriving at dealer lots toward the end of the year. Key-swapping thieves steal Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT from FL dealer
Sat, 09 Nov 2013Just a few weeks back, we reported on the theft of an Audi RS5 by a pair of creative thieves who managed to swipe the car's keys when the salesperson stepped away from their desk. Now, a Florida dealership is missing a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 after some crooks switched the Jeep's keys with an identical, non-functioning set.
According to the report from local NBC affiliate WPTV, the men went in and spoke to a dealer about the Jeep. They walked outside, took a look at it, started it up and in the process managed to switch out the fobs. After doing their time with the salesperson, the thieves walked back out to the car, got in and drove away.
"I mean obviously, the way it was done, I think that they were professionals and they knew what they were doing," said Arrigo Jeep General Manager Joe Tufo. "The fact that they did it in broad daylight and switched the key fob and it was like it was nothing. That's what makes it unique," he added.
