73 Jeep Commando - 64k Original Miles- Survivor And Unmolested. Must See !! on 2040-cars
Peachtree City, Georgia, United States

This is a 1973 Jeep Jeepster Commando 4X4 with only 63555 original documented miles. Powered by a 258 cid 6 cylinder engine. Has an automatic transmission and power steering. Has new Goodyear AT tires with less than 500 miles on them. Has the original hubcaps. She's just been completely tuned and purrs like the proverbial kitten. Trans shifts perfectly and has she has adequate power. The engine does not smoke and there are no major leaks. 4WD works perfectly and has locking front hubs. The top is removable although I'm not sure it has ever been removed. Some rust in the lower rockers and behind the rear wheels on the inside, both are relatively easy fixes. This vehicle will make an easy restoration or just drive her as the survivor she is. Most of it's life has been spent indoors but a cover is included if she has to stay outside. She's virtually unmolested with the exception of a chrome valve cover. The original valve cover is included however for the purist. I do have the title in hand also for this Jeep classic. I have the original sales contract, the original owners manual and receipts to document the mileage is correct. The original vinyl seats are in great condition, not perfect but really, really nice. The rubber floor mat is also very nice except for a heel worn spot under the accelerator pedal. Spare tire and jack are also included. Rear tailgate and liftgate work perfectly. The liftgate locks and releases effortlessly. Radio even works, will need an antenna though. This has been a one family vehicle since purchased new, I was told and it certainly appears the paint is original, no body filler anywhere to be found. Undercarriage is solid also. Unable to use a direct link but use this search on you tube and it's the last video I have posted. www.youtube.com/user/TheBoz1911 Someone asked me about the video where I put my foot on the gas it sounds like she quits, not the case, simply a matter of kicking the choke off. She is very quiet after that but she is still running. There is no requirement to ship this car, you can drive her just about anywhere. Don't miss out on this rare opportunity. Please feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding. Thank you!! |

Jeep gives Cherokee its yin and yang with Sageland and Urbane concepts
Sat, 19 Apr 2014Among the design concepts Jeep has prepared for Beijing Motor Show this year are a pair of Cherokees dressed up in contrasting schemes.
In one corner we have the Sageland concept pictured above, drawing its inspiration from Shangri-La with an Ivory Peal tri-coat and bronze trim for the grille, fascia appliqués, roof rack, sunroof, mirror caps and exhaust tips. Inside it's all earth tones with light gray Nappa leather seats and red and blue top-stitching inspired by traditional Chinese themes.
Meanwhile the Urbane concept (pictured right) takes the Cherokee in a different direction with steel blue metallic paintjob and black accents. Inside it adopts the theme of Chinese calligraphy with Piano Black accepts and dark red Nappa leather.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel
Tue, 26 Feb 2013Choose Your Own Adventure... But Choose Wisely
Jeep has got you covered. We can say this without even having to know what it is you want, because there's hardly an option or configuration that you won't find in the 2014 Grand Cherokee. There are three different engines, three different four-wheel-drive systems (plus rear-wheel drive), four different trim levels - not counting SRT - two different suspension setups and five different settings for various off-road terrain conditions. If you happen to check the box for Quadra-Lift, you'll also have five different ride-height settings for the driver-selectable air suspension.
As you might expect with so many customization possibilities, the way a buyer checks the options sheet can have a profound effect on the final product and its capabilities, to say nothing of its price. Nowhere is that more true than with the Grand Cherokee's choice of engines, with the brand-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 stealing the spotlight from the still excellent gasoline-fueled 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 powerplants that carry over from last year. No matter which engine you choose, though, it will be paired up with Jeep's new standard eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. This, ladies and gentlemen, is very good news indeed.
Marchionne: Midsize pickup still not in the cards; Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler could use aluminum
Wed, 07 May 2014During the Fiat-Chrysler briefings on Tuesday, Reid Bigland, head of Ram Trucks, outlined the new product plans for his brand, including confirmation that an all-new light-duty Ram 1500 will launch in 2017. From there, discussions spun off in two directions, with the main questions being: will Ram build a midsize pickup? And, following Ford's move to extensively use aluminum in its new 2015 F-150, will Chrysler be using this weight-saving material for the next round of its fullsize truck, as well?
"I think there is room for a Ram 1000," Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne (pictured above) told members of the media, saying this is a conversation the automaker has been having internally for several years now. "We've tried this ... we've actually taken it to clinics," Marchionne stated, adding that the "response has been lukewarm."
"I have better use of aluminum in this house than a pickup truck." - Sergio Marchionne
