For sale is my JEEP COMMANDER LIMITED 2007 with HEMI engine. I'm the ONLY OWNER since new. It's 2007 but I bought it on April 2008 brand new. It has only 62k miles and it has been very well taken care of. It has only been serviced at a Jeep dealer and I have all the maintenance records. It has new tires, new spark plugs and new brake pads. It has a small scratch on the rear bumper (see picture) which was done at a parking lot by someone who ran away. This is the limited version with full package, among all the features: -HEMI engine 5.7 V8 (The computer turns off 4 cylinders when driving between 40-60 mph to economize and you don't even notice) -7 passengers -Leather seats -Heated front seats -Power Front Seats -GPS -Navigation system -DVD with remote and original wireless headphones (very cool for kids when going for vacations) -CD player with 6 disc changer -Satellite radio -Back Rear View Camera -Park Assistant sensors -Rain Sense Wipers (very cool feature) -Front, Rear, Lateral and third row head airbags -Stability Control -Tire pressure monitoring on-board Computer -Remote power door locks -Remote Vehicle start up (very cool for winter to warm up before you drive) -Pedal height adjustment -Cruise control on steering wheel -Power mirrors -Heated mirrors -2 one-touch power windows -12V front and 12V rear power outlet(s) -Front, rear and 3rd row cup holders This Vehicle is in very good condition and you can see it at anytime. 2014 Jeep Cherokee uncovered with bold new look
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Jeep has been shuttling around Alfa Romeo-based test mules and camouflaged prototypes of its replacement for the current Liberty for some time now. Those heavily disguised vehicles may have offered a glimpse of the new Jeep, but a new set of production-line images from Jalopnik tell a much more complete story.
Jalopnik report indicates unequivocally that the Cherokee name will be re-upped in place of Liberty, though it doesn't spell out exactly where that thinking comes from, though a name change has been rumored for some time. Chances are good that the same source that delivered these factory images delivered the name, as well.
The Cherokee absolutely has some Alfa Romeo DNA in its makeup, the final product is far from looking like its Guilietta ancestor. The athletic, high-waisted design is relatively attractive from what we can see here, though the grille and headlight treatment are sure to cause a lot of ruckus when the Cherokee makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April. The very narrow, pointed headlamps are pinched in a not particularly Jeep-ish fashion, and the curved, short version of the seven-slot grille is far more rakish than anything that Jeep has produced to date.
Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new
Sun, 09 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
Chrysler recalls small number of 2013-2014 cars and trucks over engine debris
Thu, 12 Dec 2013Chrysler is recalling a small number cars over issues with their 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. The recall, which affects 522 examples of its 2013 Dodge Avenger and Chrysler 200 models, as well as 2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot CUVs has to do with potential debris in the balance shaft bearings.
The abrasive stuff can cause the oil pressure to drop, which could lead to the engine stalling or outright failure. This situation could at best leave drivers stranded and at worst lead to a crash.
Chrysler will begin notifying owners, who will need to report in to have the balance shaft module replaced. All repairs are naturally free of charge. Scroll down for the bulletin from NHTSA.
