For sale is my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I bought this vehicle from an older couple. The wife had run it dry of oil and damaged the engine. It sat unused for a few years in their garage. I purchased for my daughter who just got her license because it was in very nice condition (except the engine). Black leather interior is very nice and carpets are clean. My plan was to get it up and running for her to drive so I wanted to get it mechanically perfect. Last year I had a NEW 4.7L engine installed (see pictures). The engine is from LKQ. I have put about 29K miles on the NEW engine so far with absolutely no problems. It runs awesome! See pictures to see the new engine as it arrived in a crate to the shop where it was put in.. I also had a new front axle installed because the old one was not disengaging from 4x4 mode. I also put in a new starter, radiator, battery, alternator, new headlights, speakers in all doors, front brakes, tires, windshield, window regulators, switches and many other odds and ends that I felt it needed.

Jeep hiring 1,000 part-time workers in Toledo on Wrangler, Cherokee demand
Wed, 12 Mar 2014The new Jeep Cherokee has been quite a success for Chrysler, but its factory workers are getting tired. The automaker has agreed to hire up to 1,000 part-time, temporary employees at its Toledo Assembly Complex where the CUV and Wrangler are built. It will allow the company to keep Jeep production moving, while giving laborers a break.
According to plant manager Chuck Padden in the Toledo Blade, full-time workers are regularly taking on 60 hours a week, and it's beginning to wear on them. "To get them more time off is important to us, to make sure they're refreshed, and can work safely," said Padden.
Chrysler has already hired 380 temporary, part-time workers for the plant, and 50 have been converted to full-time employees. The company is in the process of interviewing the rest of the new hires now and plans to have all 1,000 in place by the summer. They will work between 10 and 30 hours a week mostly on weekends for $15.78 per hour with limited benefits. The temporary positions will last "as long as demand continues for the Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Cherokee," said Jodi Tinson, Chrysler spokesperson for manufacturing and labor communications, to Autoblog in an email.

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
