 1998 JEEP CHEROKEE CLASSIC

VIN: 1JFFJ68SXWL221400

THERE OVER 60 HUGE IMAGES OF THIS STUNNING JEEP SHOWN BELOW!

DESCRIPTION:

This NO RESERVE auction is for a really sharp looking JEEP CHEROKEE CLASSIC. We have provided the CARFAX information on this vehicle showing that the 99,015 miles on the odometer is correct and that the vehicle had lots of regular checkups at the local dealer. The accident that is reported was limited to the replacement of the wheel arch molding on the drivers side fender shortly after the vehicle was purchased in 1998. The exterior is all color matched and painted in a beautiful bright red. The interior is fitted in a durable gray cloth woven fabric. This JEEP is loaded with most of the amenities that were available on these models in that year and it is also set up for towing.

The exterior and interior of this car is very straight and clean and there are plenty of recent new additions including a brand NEW set of GOODYEAR WRANGLER tires with all new valve stems and lug nuts, new exhaust system, 4 new shock absorbers, sway bar links, track bar, steering bar shock and rear lift gate pistons. This JEEP runs great and it was just serviced with fresh oil and filter. It passed New York State's MVB rigid inspection for emissions and safety. We didn't want to bog you down with pages of useless JEEP information, considering that most of the people looking at this 4x4 will know much more about it than we do.

The JEEP performed flawlessly when driven and everything works. No squeaks, rattles or other objectionable noises at all. The A/C blows cold (heat works too), the four wheel drive works like it should and even the cassette and CD players function as designed! The previous owners were non-smokers. It has power locks, windows, mirrors, brakes, steering, tilt wheel, vanity mirrors and much more. The few nits that we were able to pick is a very short list indeed. There are very minor blemishes in the original finish, but you would never believe that this is a 16 year old, daily driven vehicle, because it still looks so great!

As with all of our eBay Motors listings we try to let our high resolution photographs tell the story about the vehicles that we are selling. The pictures were just taken and we have shots from many angles including the exterior, engine bay, full interior and undercarriage. The original owners manual package, remote fob and 2 keys come with the car. If you study our clear multiple images very carefully, you will see exactly what this nice JEEP CHEROKEE CLASSIC is all about.

The clear images of this vehicle, shown below, will do a much better job of describing the look, style, condition and market value of this vehicle than our words ever could. Feel confident to fly in and drive this one back home. We invite questions and comments and there is NO RESERVE on this auction!

The origins of the Jeep Wave | The Exposition

Thu, Jun 15 2017

Jeep culture is tight-knit community of passionate enthusiasts with plenty of interesting stories and traditions, like the Jeep Wave. But how did the Jeep Wave start? Episode 2 of The Exposition looks at some theories behind the origin of this driving ritual. Show full video transcript text [00:00:00] Get behind the wheel of a Jeep, and you'll hopefully notice the other Jeep owners waving at you as you pass by. It's kind of cool actually, but one thing we couldn't help wonder is, where and how did this wave start? If you've never heard of the Jeep Wave, don't worry, you're not alone. For example, my friend James - that's James. Back in 2013 he bought his first Jeep. Like many new young Jeep owners, he had no idea about the wave. He quickly caught on, though. [00:00:30] So where did it start? Oddly enough, I was only able to find three pretty convincing theories. Theory One - The wave started in WWII as a way for soldiers to acknowledge each other while driving by on patrol. Theory No. 2 - The wave began after the war. Which also makes sense. Since civilian Jeep owners were most likely returning veterans who already appreciated the car, the wave was a way to acknowledge each other's service. [00:01:00] Theory No. 3 is the wave started much later, in the 70s when off-roading really took off. Kind of a way to salute a kindred spirit out looking for adventure. Now, there is an unspoken rule of who waves first. The rule is, the younger Jeep always salutes the older one. Or if you have a stock Jeep you must wave to a modified Jeep first. These are interesting theories, but one thing's for sure, the Jeep wave is a unique tradition. The next time you drive a Jeep, be sure to wave as you pass another by. Sunday Drive: Taking a gaze into the automotive crystal ball

Sun, Oct 22 2017

Mankind has long been fascinated by the future. So it makes sense that this past week's top stories were all about cars, trucks, and SUVs that won't be hitting the market until the 2019 model year. And right at the top of the list is the Ram 1500. We've come to know Ram as the truck maker that styles its pickups with cues cribbed from big rigs, but that look has slowly evolved over time into something uniquely its own. The next Ram 1500 continues this trend, with a newly refined look that we can't wait to see in person. Up next is the 2019 Chevy Silverado. Pickup trucks have been, continue to be, and will remain the best-selling vehicles in America. And General Motors is a leader in the field, with two distinct offerings with which to entice buyers, one from the bread-and-butter Chevrolet brand and one wearing the slightly more upscale GMC badge. The Chevy looks to get LED lighting elements for 2019, which ought to keep the truck from looking dated when compared to the Ford F-150 and the previously mentioned Ram 1500. From there we move past pickup trucks and into SUVs and sedans. The 2019 Jeep Cherokee looks to get toned down a bit with its next refresh, and the '19 BMW 3 Series continues its slow evolutionary journey at the top of its aspirational sales pedestal. Finally, spy shots give way to official production reveals for the 2019 Audi A7 and Polestar 1. This pair of European luxury cars won't compete with one another – one is a rakish hatchback and the other a sports coupe – any further than for the eyeballs of our readers, but both proved popular enough to merit inclusion in our weekly roundup. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. 2019 Ram 1500 spotted without the classic crosshairs 2019 Chevy Silverado spied with new LED accents 2019 Jeep Cherokee reveals a much more normal face 2019 BMW 3 Series spy shots reveal production lights, new interior details 2019 Audi A7 revealed: More torque, refined styling Polestar 1 First Look | The 600 horsepower hybrid Scandinavian Green Audi BMW Chevrolet Jeep RAM Volvo Truck Hatchback SUV Future Vehicles Hybrid Luxury Performance Sedan sunday drive polestar 1

Jeep teases its Easter Safari Wrangler concepts

Wed, Mar 29 2017

Every year ahead of the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Jeep shows off some wild concepts based on Jeep products. They usually don't make it to production, but they do get the fans very, very excited. If you'll remember last year, the company showed off a Hellcat-powered Wrangler concept called the Trailcat and some retro-inspired pickups, like a neo-Forward Control and one resembling the classic military Kaiser M715. This year, we're getting a sneak preview of two of the concepts Jeep will be showing off. Details are sketchy and the images aren't very revealing, but such is the way of teasers. Let's start with the Switchback, which appears to be a Wrangler Unlimited that features metal doors with large cutaways in them. They look like a cross between factory metal half-doors and the tubular trail doors that are a popular aftermarket add-on. It also appears to feature a bumper-mounted winch and a special top with a roof basket. The second concept is the Quicksand, which appears to be a two-door Wrangler with cut-down fenders, a roll cage, and no B-pillar aft of the door. Could it be a dune buggy of sorts, a Jeep analogue to the Baja Bugs or Meyers Manxs so popular in the 1960s and 1970s? It's hard to tell, but all will be revealed soon. Related Video:
