1980 Jeep CJ5, 258 six cyl, gun racks, tow bar, winch from Jeep that works and has remote, rack on back for hanging a deer (it will unbolt), good tires, original spare that has never been on, seats pretty good, back has a spot on it, probably from mice gnawing at it, back seat out for cleaning and picture taking, seat belts all there, all manuals from new in glove box, radio and lighter work, all lights work, no top (fell apart/rotted), hood has had a deer thrown up on it and is blood stained, and no it won't clean up. The first time in my repair shop this Jeep had 1400 miles. I can almost guarantee that most of the 14600 miles were from towing here and there. If I were to guess I would say that realistically it probably has less than 5K miles actually running. But I do understand that we have to go by what is on the odometer. Look at the pedal rubber. There is no rust as you can see in pics. It has always been in a barn when not being used. This last time it sat for 2 years-I primed it, and it fired up and ran like it always does. I did have to put a fuel pump and battery on it. I have done extensive cleaning, including removing heater assy., and upgraded blower motor while I was in there. Since it only shows 14600 miles, I procured an affadavit from the owner stating correctness of odom. It runs excellent, doesn't smoke, rattle, fast idles on start-up as it should, just doesn't have any ailments that I know of. So, here we go. I don't know what it's worth, but some of you probably do. I have never had a Jeep of any kind in my shop in this good of condition, and I have worked on a few. Clear Texas title-not registered or inspected. I will assist in shipping only to the extent of helping load. If you are within 1000 miles or so, I will meet you halfway for fuel costs plus $200, with a deposit up front, non-refundable, of $500. If you need any questions answered, or need my phone #, email thru ebay. Thanks for looking. We'll start 'er out at $500 and see what happens.

Completely uncovered 2018 Jeep Wrangler reveals evidence for folding windshield
Tue, Aug 15 2017After months of peering through heavy tarps and vinyl wraps, we finally get our very first look at a 2018 Wrangler without any camouflage at all. The photo comes from a user at JL Wrangler Forums, and it seems to show the truck rolling off the assembly line. Unfortunately, the angle isn't great, but it does give us a look at some of the detail changes to the body compared with the previous one. The most noticeable new detail is the vent that sits in a triangular scallop in the front fender. There's also a tumblehome character line running along the doors. Both of these styling features are consistent with leaked images and fan renderings also published by JL Wrangler Forums. The door handles have also changed, and appear to be more conventional pull-to-open pieces rather than the chunky pushbutton handles on the current Wrangler. It seems like the new Wrangler will still embrace open-air motoring, too. The doors retain exposed hinges that seem to be designed with easy removal in mind. Not only that, but we can see styled rubber pads on the hood. These have been featured on Wranglers all through the years to provide a cushion for when the windshield is folded down. So we would expect the windshield on the new Wrangler to be foldable, too. And, of course, this Wrangler has the traditional fabric folding top. We still expect to see the Wrangler make its official debut at the L.A. auto show, with sales beginning soon after. It will offer gasoline V6 and four-cylinder engines to start, with a diesel version coming later. The Wrangler also will likely gain new features including a hardtop with power sliding panels, and a full-time four-wheel-drive system. Jeep teases pair of Moab concepts early
Tue, 19 Mar 2013With the 47th annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari coming up at the end of this month, Jeep is preparing to roll out six new off-road-ready concept vehicles. The first two being teased are the Jeep Grand Cherokee "Trailhawk II" concept and the Jeep Wrangler "Slim," and while we have no information on either, we at least get an idea of what they'll look like.
We can't tell why this Wrangler is called Slim, but it has a nice black-and-red paint scheme with a serious off-roading front bumper and five-spoke beadlock wheels. There's even less we can figure out about the Grand Cherokee's Trailhawk II concept except that it appears to be painted up in the same Crusher Orange paint job as the recently introduced SRT Viper TA. We'll likely more of these as well as peeks at the other Moab concepts as we get closet to this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, which will be held March 23 through 31.
Jeep Wrangler Scrambler pickup tailgate spied uncovered
Wed, May 2 2018Jeep has been particularly good at keeping the upcoming Jeep Wrangler pickup truck, affectionately referred to as Scrambler, under wraps, literally. It's very rare to see any portion of the truck sans bulky black fabric. But this time Jeep slipped up and left the tailgate of the truck totally exposed except for some paint. Not surprisingly, there aren't any spare tire mounts here. Previous photos have shown the spare will be mounted underneath the bed, and we haven't seen any running around with tires on the back. There also aren't any logos stamped into the bed, so presumably Jeep will simply slap badges on the back. The shape is also in keeping with the current Wrangler's design. It's chunky and chiseled, but the edges are softened a bit. It's also less straight-edged than what we've seen in renderings. We're currently expecting the Wrangler pickup to arrive at dealers next year. And now that the last JK Wrangler has been built, the factory should be gearing up for truck production. We know that the truck will feature a longer frame with rear suspension that is similar to the Ram 1500. And like all other Wranglers, the top should be removable.
