  • Up for Bid is my 1986 Jeep CJ7. This is the last of the CJs. This is a very nice CJ that has a ton of work and upgrades.

84300 original miles on the body. The engine has been recently rebuilt. Fresh paint job. I have both a Hardtop and BestTop Bikini top. The hardtop has two cracks in the front corners. I never had them fixed because I don't run it in the winter. The body has been redone and there is no frame cancer like you find on these old jeeps.

A list of the work and upgrades that has been done:

Drive Train:

  • Rebuilt 4.2L I6 w Custom Valve Cover- Engine Block Painted Red.
  • MotoCraft 2100 Carb- Original Throttle Body FI removed
  • Nutter Bypassed
  • Upgraded Ignition System
  • 3-Speed Automatic
  • New Exhaust w. Dual Stainless Tips - Great sound
  • Red Poly Bushings on Springs and Trans Mount
  • Superwinch Hubs
  • New Wheel Bearings
  • Rancho Shocks
  • New Battery and Alternator
  • Power Steering and Power Brakes

Exterior:

  • Bushwhacker Fender Flares
  • New BFG T/A KOs 33x12.50 15s  - 3ply sidewalls
  • New Weld Alum Wheels
  • Cibie Headlight Conversion
  • Hella Black Magic Lights
  • Stainless Grill Cover
  • Stainless Trim Pieces- Hood Latches, Windshield Hinges, Door Hinges, Mirrors
  • Diamond Plate Kick Panels
  • The Gadsden Flag on the hood is Vinyl- so you can remove it if you want.

Interior:

  • New Carpet
  • No Tears in the seats
  • New Drivers Seatbelt
  • Stainless Dash Plate
  • New CD player w. Bluetooth and USB- New Speakers
  • New Weather stripping
  • Padded Roll Bar Cover

Overall this is a very nice Jeep. Im selling because I don't drive it much anymore since I moved to WV. The few things that don't work are the horn and the windshield washers. I wanted to put a new dash pad on it because the original is getting bad but I haven't yet. The pictures speak for themselves. Email me with questions. I tried to describe as accurately as I can. Im selling as-is and can arrange delivery but buyer pays all costs. Good Luck.

Jeep's Wrangler Hellcat and six other sweet concepts for Moab

Thu, Mar 10 2016

Jeep. Wrangler. Hellcat. You read that correctly. And while it's just a concept for this year's Moab Easter Jeep Safari, it has us dreaming about blasting through the desert at 200 miles per hour. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles released a whole slew of Easter Jeep concepts at an event at the company's Auburn Hills, MI, headquarters today. The 50th annual Moab Safari will take place in just a couple of weeks – it's a sort of mecca for Jeep owners, and for the past few years, FCA brings its concepts out to the rocks and trails of Moab to prove that these are more than mere one-off, delicate showcars. Our own Brandon Turkus was live at FCA's reveal event, and he passed along a bunch of notes, in addition to the official stuff from Jeep. Here are some details about each concept, with full photo galleries and videos of each Jeep creation.

Woman who survived plunge off Big Sur cliff posts pics of wrecked Jeep

Wed, Jul 18 2018

The woman who survived seven days on a remote beach after plunging off a cliff on California's Highway 1 has posted photos of her wrecked Jeep Patriot on the beach at low tide. Along with details of the story Angela Hernandez has previously shared, the photos suggest she's lucky to be alive. Hernandez's ordeal began around midday on July 6, when she was driving southbound through Big Sur and an animal suddenly appeared in the road in front of her. She swerved to avoid hitting it and lost control. "I don't really remember much of the fall," she says. "They say I fell somewhere around 250 feet." Hernandez, 23, had been reported missing in the Big Sur area on her journey from Portland, Ore., to Southern California, but heavy fog had complicated search efforts. She was eventually found by a couple hiking the coastline in search of a fishing spot and was hoisted up the cliff by rescuers and taken to a hospital. She suffered a brain hemorrhage, collapsed lung, ruptured blood vessels in both eyes and four broken ribs and broken collarbone, plus an intense sunburn. She says she remembers only waking up in her car and feeling the Pacific Ocean rising over her knees. She used a multitool to break the window, then jumped into the water and made her way to shore, where she promptly passed out. In the coming days she used a piece of hose that broke off her Jeep to collect fresh water dripping off mounds of moss for drinking. "The next few days kind of became a blur," she wrote on Facebook. "I'd walk up and down the beach in search of another human being. I'd climb on rocks to avoid the sharp sand, walk along the shore to avoid the hot rocks, and air wrestle tiny crabs. I found a high spot I was able to climb up to and found myself there almost every day. I could see cars driving across the cliff and felt like if I could yell just loud enough, that one could hear me or see me. That's all it would take to make it back to my family. Just one person noticing me. I'd usually stay there until the sun became unbearable and then would find a way to slide myself back down to the shore." It sounds like the accident has given her a new lease on life. Her most recent Facebook update is a short video of her playing a guitar. "Wasn't sure if I'd still be able to play after my accident, so this makes me so happy," she writes. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. FCA's U.S. sales chief sues company for wrongful retaliation

Thu, Jun 6 2019

Some fresh controversy is brewing at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as The Detroit News reports that the head of U.S. sales has filed a federal whistleblower lawsuit against the company.. Reid Bigland, who's also in charge of the Ram truck brand, alleges that FCA made him a scapegoat for wrongful sales inflation practices and fixing vehicle sales statistics, which are currently under investigation by federal agents. Bigland claims that FCA executives punished him for cooperating with the federal investigators in the case by cutting his pay by more than 90 percent, according to the lawsuit he filed. The plan apparently was to use the money saved to pay for fines following any settlements made with the Securities and Exchange Commission. So far, the lawsuit alleges that FCA cost Bigland over $1.8 million in income. "They had the largest growth in retail sales in 17 years last year and refuses to pay him," Deborah Gordon, Bigland's lawyer in the case, said to The Detroit News. "Why is that? Because he participated in the SEC investigation and they don't like what he said." Bigland claims he just cooperated with the SEC investigation by testifying about FCA's sales reporting, from the time he took the position to the period prior to being appointed the company's U.S. sales chief. "In late 2018, presumably as a way to wrap up their investigation with some result, the SEC suggested to plaintiff that he admit to some wrongdoing as to defendants' monthly sales reporting," Gordon further said in a statement as part of the lawsuit. "The SEC also suggested a resolution involving some penalty to FCA. Because (Bigland) had not engaged in any wrongdoing, and there was no wrongdoing, he declined to do so." However, exacerbating the issue is the fact that Bigland reportedly sold his shares in the company last year, prompting FCA to act against him even more. FCA came under fire recently by federal agents in at least two separate investigations, potentially exposing conspiracy and corruption between company executives and private entities. The investigations are being led independently by the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI. So far, eight convictions were reportedly secured, with one including former Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Vice President Alphons Iacobelli, as one of the defendants. Iacobelli was one of the former top labor-relations executives for the automaker.
