Mint condition 1973 CJ5 with 258 CI big six, 3 speed transmission and less than 18,000 original miles. I am the 2nd owner and I purchased the Jeep from the original owner in 2000 with only 12,000 miles. I do have documentation. This Jeep runs and drives as new.
This Jeep was cosmetically restored (2001) and fitted with a high quality Bestop Supertop (2 pc. doors) before paint which has never been re-installed on the vehicle since. Period correct Marchal driving lights, custom step plates at the door sills, custom carpet, dealer installed AM radio, roll bar, chrome wheels, windshield glass, everything else is original equipment. Seats are original (few minor defects) The body survived due to the Jeep being undercoated when new. There were small amounts of rust (floor, rocker, tail light panels) which were cut out and replaced with correct steel replacement parts. Chassis and engine compartments are all original. Paint is basecoat/clearcoat (1997 Range Rover Yellow) and still looks wet. The original color was a pale yellow. Selling only because I have too many vehicles and need the room. I recommend, if possible, that you see this Jeep in person and take it for a drive. |

2017 Jeep Compass ads navigate life for Millennials
Fri, May 5 2017Jeep kicked off an advertising blitz Thursday for the 2017 Compass, pitching the attractive compact crossover directly at the Millennial generation. The first broadcast spot, called Recalculating, shows young people navigating life's changes, including marriage, children, job moves, and more. A narrator intones "recalculating" – like a GPS – at each life moment during the 60-second ad. Naturally, a Compass would be a logical ride for all of these milestones, Jeep suggests. "We expect its message of life's journey moving us in many directions to resonate with our Millennial audience while staying true to the Jeep brand's core value of freedom," Oliver Francois, Fiat Chrysler's chief marketing officer, said in a statement. The campaign will be shown during Saturday Night Live, Modern Family, and other popular television shows. Print versions will also appear in national magazines, and the campaign will include digital, cinema, and experiential elements. The blitz began in North America, but it will be a global marketing effort as the Compass is sold in a wide range of regions. The ads will be customized for local audiences. Four more 30-second spots are planned for launch in May. An FCA US spokesperson declined to provide a monetary value for the campaign. The Compass will also be a featured vehicle at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in June in Tennessee. Additionally, FCA US will showcase the vehicle outside its headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., with a multi-story wrap on the building (replacing the current Chrysler Pacifica hybrid wrap). The Compass, which is on sale now, is receiving positive reviews for its updated styling that echoes the Grand Cherokee, increased storage space, and off-road capability. Hawking the Compass toward the Millennial generation, which is young people in their 20s to mid-30s, is a logical move for Jeep, as the group is beginning to display increased buying power. The Compass is one of Jeep's entry points. Customers could then theoretically stay with the brand as they age and their families grow, moving up to larger and more expensive vehicles, a longtime strategy employed by automakers. Related Video:

Put a mustache on your Jeep this Movember for charity
Wed, Nov 2 2016Move over Lyft drivers, Jeep is getting in on the automotive mustache game. And it's for a good cause. The company announced that for the month of November, it will sell giant, bushy, black mustaches for Jeep vehicles through the Jeep Gear website and at dealers. The mustache is made by Carstache and costs $49.99, with all proceeds going to the Movember Foundation. The foundation supports improvements in men's health, and takes its name from the trend of growing mustaches in November. We would also like to point out that the product description says you shouldn't drive over 40 miles per hour with the mustache in place. So keep the 'stache wearing to your own face when traveling at highway speeds. Now if you don't have a Jeep on which you can put a mustache, well, you could probably put it on whatever car you have since it installs with some rubber-coated wires that thread through the grille. But if you really want a Jeep with a mustache, the company is running a contest in which you can post a photo of your mustache to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #JeepStacheContest for a chance to win a new Renegade. The winner will be the entry with the most creative, original and high-quality mustache. This contest is also an opportunity to help out Movember Foundation a little bit more. Jeep will donate $1 for every post with the hashtag "#JeepStache" up to $15,000. The contest runs until November 30, as does Jeep's donation program. Related Video:
