Up for sale is my 1966 Kaiser Jeep CJ5 with a clean Georgia Title. From researching the jeep I have found it was produced in October of 1965 as a 1966 model. It has the origional Metal tub with Kaiser ID plate on fire wall and as far as I can tell the front end is all origional aswell -NO FIBERGLASS- This is a running and driving Jeep powered by a transplanted 2.5L 4 cylinder EFI Jeep motor out of what im told was a 1992 Cherokee. It was installed correctly years ago and now offers the reliability and convienience of an electronically fuel injected motor with a 5spd transmission.  I will take pictures of anything on the jeep you request to show there is no rust through on the frame and this is a solid body, just let me know what you need. The Interior was bed lined, however, i have pictures available for potential buyers of the tub before it was covered showing the tub was clean and rust free. Other than a little cracking in the paint on the hood from the sun coming through the garage door this is a very clean 48 year old jeep that shows and drives well.

Recent Work Completed;

New Bestop Bikini Top

New Bestop Half Doors

Recently bedlined interior

Newer Seats

Newer 33" BFG Mud terrain tires still have nipples

Newer Shocks and leaf springs

New Tail Lights

New under seat Fuel Cell, OEM style

New Battery, battery leads, grounds, plugs and a K&N Filter

Fresh Fluids including gear oil

This is not a restored '66 CJ, it is however a well maintained 48 year old jeep that could be an affordable weekend toy for the upcoming spring and summer! It appears to be  very origional with exception of the motor/trans and has not been molested and hacked to death. The dash has never been cut, a radio/cb never installed, all pans are solid and everything is in place!

Drive it home today if you live close enough. If you dont, contact me to discuss shipping arrangements. Ill be happy to assist where possible. Sold As-Is, $500.00 deposit due within 48hours of end of auction/sale, full amount of sale price due within 5 business days of end of sale.

**THIS JEEP IS FOR SALE LOCALLY, THE AUCTION/SALE WILL BE PULLED IMEDIATLY IF THE JEEP IS SOLD**

Thanks for looking! Let me know if you have any questions or further picture requests!

FCA facing class-action lawsuit over Grand Cherokee shifters

Fri, Jun 24 2016

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is now facing a multi-million-dollar class-action lawsuit over the recalled shifter design in the 2014 and 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the 2012 to 2014 Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300. Grand Cherokee owners, galvanized by Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin's fatal accident, filed the suit. According to The Wall Street Journal, the owners allege that FCA concealed the shifter's problems. On top of restitution, the class action suit is demanding a court order force FCA to issue a do-not-drive warning to owners of affected vehicles until it fixes the problem. FCA started distributing a software fix to dealers last week – according to the WSJ, the update will add more warnings about the shifter's position and will automatically kick the vehicle into park if the driver steps out. FCA's shifter problems have been bubbling under the surface as part of the company's recall issues. The US government dinged FCA with a $105 million fine last year for its recall practices (or lack thereof) last year, but things have exploded this week after Yelchin's death. The 27-year-old, best known for playing Ensign Pavel Chekov in the rebooted Star Trek film series, was killed after his 2015 Grand Cherokee rolled down his driveway and pinned the actor against a security gate. According to Jeep CEO Mike Manley, the company will dispatch engineers to analyze Yelchin's vehicle. Related Video:

2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

There will forever be a soft spot in my heart for the Jeep Wrangler. The last one I owned was red, and, as a 1990 model, had the square headlights derided by Jeep enthusiasts who grew up on the Civilian Jeeps that descended from their General Purpose military ancestors. As a teenager, I couldn't have cared less what shape its headlights happened to be - to me, a Jeep Wrangler represented freedom; a carefree do-it-all machine equally at home with the top stowed away in the summer or with the heater on full blast in the snowy clutches of Old Man Winter. In Dr. Seuss parlance, my square-headlighted Sneetch was just as worthy as any round-headlighted Sneetch.
All that said, I'll be the first person to advise against buying a Jeep Wrangler of any sort for owners who don't plan to use it as its makers intend. There's no good reason to punish yourself with a stiff and springy ride, a loud and somewhat drafty (though generally water-resistant) interior or the poor fuel economy expected of a block-shaped vehicle if you don't enjoy its other, more exciting benefits.
Of course, Jeep has done its darndest over the years to make the Wrangler as civilized as possible while keeping it as capable as federal law will allow. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab edition is one of Jeep's latest attempts to attract attention from the upper reaches of the active lifestyle set, and I spent a week with one to see what makes the Moab special.

Train derailment leaves Jeep, GMC, Chevy pickups damaged in Nevada

Thu, Jul 11 2019

An unfortunate train derailment is causing some inevitable delays for pickup truck customers west of Nevada. Yesterday morning, 33 train cars derailed in Lincoln County, and the cargo that was being transported consisted of new Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers along with Chevrolet Silverados and GMC Sierras, judging from the photos released by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office. The train derailment also caused the adjacent road to be closed, and local law enforcement recommends the area is to be avoided as long as it takes to clean it all up. In the photos, damaged Jeeps and other trucks sit either on their wheels or shiny-side-down as the incident is being assessed. Available information says there were thankfully no personal injuries, but itÂ’s not likely any of these trucks will end up in customer hands, even with a significant discount. Pre-registration transport damage, significant or not, has often resulted in scrapping complete vehicles so that manufacturers can steer clear of liability issues. Hooniverse.com, which also reported on the incident, notes a couple of interesting things. Firstly, the upended Gladiator seems to have a pretty sturdy support structure for its glasshouse, thanks to its new rollbars. Another matter is that the GM trucks, also pictured, wear discreet and temporary transport steel wheels instead of fancier items, perhaps to deter thieves eager to grab a shiny set from trucks on their way to the dealer. Still, itÂ’s a shame these vehicles could never fulfill their hauling purposes in the hands of new owners. Perhaps the manufacturers can at least use the damage for data-gathering purposes.
