2007 Jaguar XKR Coupe. 31k original and easy miles. Silver with black all leather luxury package interior. Non smoker car. No accidents, etc.. 4.2 liter SUPERCHARGED V8 with automatic transmission and all standard factory options. 420 plus horsepower and 0-60 times around 4.5 secs. This is a quick, well handling, and good looking machine. Adult owned, never abused, well maintained. I am the second owner. Probably the nicest one around. Trophy winner at a local British car show and some car cruises. Excellent condition, as near to spotless as I have ever seen. Perfect Interior, seats show no wear, dash not split or cracked. Front bumper is excellent, not all scratched up underneath like you see on many of these cars. Tires, brakes, etc. all good. Runs and shifts great. Factory alloy wheels, no aftermarket junk on the vehicle. All glass is perfect. The car starts every time, no ignition issues, no smoke from exhaust, no emission issues, etc.. The car has always been stored inside, never driven in bad weather. No warning lights, etc.. displayed on instrument panel. Tires are very good Michelin Sports, no discount crap or mismatched brands on different wheels like you see on some cars out there. Transmission shifts great, no problems at all. So all, in all, you are looking at and bidding on a car that has been taken care of and is priced right, not some auction vehicle or marked up car being sold by a flipper. This was a previous Jaguar Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, and I have at most, probably only put on a few thousand miles since then. Notice - ZERO Feedback bidders will be removed and blocked unless they contact me first to verify they are serious buyers. Only selling to thin my collection a bit. Very nice cruising and show car with no issues. Clean Title and CarFax, you can check by typing the VIN in. All owners manuals, keys, and docs present. Please contact me with any questions on the vehicle. This car books for around $35,500. I am not a dealer or car flipper, but the NADA book is what is most commonly used around here to professionally price and appraise, so that is what I will go by. Please do not waste both of our time with some BS lowball stuff. This is not a fire sale. This is an honest price for a very nice car. A deposit of $1000 must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the auction thru PayPal. The remaining balance must be paid within 3 days. Buyer is responsible for any applicable taxes to their locality. Delivery is the buyer's responsibility. Vehicle is sold as-is. I reserve the right to end auction early as vehicle is also offered locally for sale. |

Top horsepower-per-dollar cars in 2017
Tue, Feb 17 2015Bang for the buck. That quasi-scientific statistic is bandied about by motor heads everywhere from classrooms to barrooms, though the truth of the matter is that it's exceedingly complex to measure. A fair performance-per-dollar index would include something like cross-referencing MSRP (Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price) with point-to-point times on a track or driving route, which is obviously hard to do comprehensively. But, for the sheer joy of talking about cars and playing with a big spreadsheet, there's always the horsepower-per-dollar index, which is more straightforward, albeit hilariously flawed. There are vagaries even with this simple formula, of course: MSRP for vehicles can change at a moment's notice, to say nothing of the bottom-line shifting that happens with local deals or showroom negotiation. For this list we're running with the straight MSRP wherever possible, and as recently reported as we can get it. All the vehicles on this list are 2017 models, and all trims are reported where the lowest price and differing power levels intersect. Some choices were made for personal preference and some for sanity, avoiding things like all 48 trim levels of the Ford Transit, all with the same horsepower). If this list were a simple top ten, or even a top fifty, you'd be bored to tears with all the red, white and blue that is represented. Following perfectly with conventional wisdom, American cars really do lead the world where hp/$ is concerned. So, for the sake of variety (and the sheer joy of seeing a minivan 'win' one round of this thing) I've sorted out some top five and bottom five lists for broad power categories. Let's dive in. Less Than 100 Horsepower Okay, okay, this is hardly a category we'll grant you. But we've often tried to click off all the sub-100-hp cars on sale in the US, and making this list gave us an excuse. It also illustrates that none of these smallish vehicles bring cheap horsepower to the table - for that you'll need a motorcycle. The segment-leading Chevy Spark (above) asks just over $139 for each hp, and that Smart Fortwo Electric Drive has hp on sale for about the same price as its very distant family cousin, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG (insert your favorite Smart joke here... we know you want to).
This classic Jaguar XJ has a 720-hp ungentlemanly secret
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Forget Tawny Kitaen. If you want to make a Jaguar XJ rock, just do what this guy did: stuff a heavily modified and turbocharged General Motors V8 under the hood, and take it to the track.
The video calls this Series 1 XJ a sleeper, but with its open exhaust and obvious turbo whistle, the once-gentlemanly sedan is anything but. The owner says that the engine is GM LQ9 V8 that has been stroked to 402 cubic inches putting out around 720 horsepower with 12 pounds of boost (in standard form, this 6.0-liter V8 was used in the second-gen Cadillac Escalade). Check out the video below to see what that kind of power does for this classic Jaguar in the eighth-mile.
2018 Jaguar E-Pace launches with a barrel roll
Thu, Jul 13 2017After months of testing – some of which we caught in spy photos – and a little teasing, Jaguar has officially entered the compact crossover space with the launch of the 2018 E-Pace. And it was a fairly grand entry, too. Instead of the usual move of driving the car onto the stage or pulling off the sheet, Jaguar did a barrel roll in the E-Pace to hail its coming. Yes, Jaguar did a 270-degree corkscrew jump with the E-Pace, launching it 50 feet through the air to earn it a Guinness World Record for the "Furthest Barrel Roll in a Production Vehicle." It's similar to the stunt the automaker pulled for the launch of the F-Pace, which entered the world with a record-setting loop. The Jaguar E-Pace is smaller than the F-Pace, and seats five. It's available with a pair of 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four gasoline engines mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The base motor makes 246 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque, and puts that power to the ground via a standard all-wheel-drive system. The R-Dynamic version ups the output figures to 296 horsepower and 295 pound-feet, comes with a pair of paddle shifters, and gets the Active Driveline AWD system. Both drivelines can transfer almost all the torque to either the front or rear axles, depending on the driving situation, but the Advanced Driveline can disengage AWD, sending power to just the front axle to save fuel, and does more to keep the car stable in dynamic driving. The E-Pace also offers an optional Configurable Dynamics package that allows the driver to select Normal or Dynamic modes, which affect throttle, transmission, and steering response. The optional Adaptive Dynamics system provides variable suspension damping based on the driving mode. Drivers can select driving modes through the E-Pace's JaguarDrive control, choosing from Normal, Dynamic, Eco, as well as a Rain, Ice and Snow mode for low-grip conditions. Inside the car, the E-Pace is equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that has a customizable home screen. Two premium Meridian audio systems and a head-up display are available. All models have a feature that allows the owner to check on the vehicle remotely. The E-Pace also offers 4G Wi-Fi, and a connected navigation system that offers real time traffic and parking information. The E-Pace starts at $39,595. The R-Dynamic version begins at $48,245. Jaguar will also offer a limited E-Pace First Edition at a price of $54,545.
