Description and Other Information

Never damaged, never wrecked, never abused. Low miles! What are you waiting for?

I’m the third owner. The second owner bought the car on December 17, 2002 with 3,947 miles and kept it until his death in June, 2013. I purchased the car from his widow.

I’m not a dealer, but I am a car enthusiast! This is my personal vehicle.

I’m owner of this vehicle with title in hand. I’ve owned it about 6 months. It had 36,900 miles on it & now has 37,650 miles.

I’ve been an E-Bayer since 1996 and am a conscientious, honest and diligent buyer and seller.

This 2001 Jaguar XK8 is simply a marvelous vehicle.

I’m always hesitant when I see vehicles listed on E-Bay with little or no information, leaving you to make a decision based on limited or no history or maintenance information and only a few photos.

It’s almost like they’re trying to hide the bad stuff by not saying anything about their car.

I’m proud of this vehicle and will tell you everything about it, good and bad!

Fortunately for you, there’s not much bad.

So, let’s get the bad out of the way.

Front passenger seat motor doesn’t work. I took this seat motor off of the passenger side and put it on the drivers side because it wasn’t working. I doubt that you’ll care about fixing it as my mechanic put it in a comfortable position. But, if you want to do so, used seat motors can be bought for about $100 with $100 installation.

Headrests - I’m told that the headrests are supposed to operate electronically. They don’t.

Small Ding - There is a small ding in one of the wheel wells. It looks like someone hit the wheel well with a door. I took the car to a paintless dent removal company and they did a great job at reducing this. You can miss it pretty easily, but again, 100% transparency and honesty.

Tires – Will need replacement in about 6,000 to 8,000 miles.

Wheel Rashes – 2 of the wheels have small curb rashes. Not bad at all, but they are there! See the photos.

CD Player doesn’t work. The head shows it’s trying to find a CD, but won’t. $75 on E-Bay and easy self installation.

I have taken immaculate care of this vehicle and had all 4 brake pads replaced.

I always wonder why people are selling their vehicles. When I bought this great vehicle in July, 2013, my thought was that I would keep it for 5-10 years. However, I only drove the vehicle about 800 miles all summer.

So, while I thought I would drive and enjoy it, I just have not done so. The car deserves to be owned by someone that will drive and enjoy this fabulous vehicle.

The big V-8 purrs and gets right with it when you want to!

All books and manuals come with this car. Every original piece of documentation comes with the car.

This car has great power, lots of room for two, almost no room for four, and a short turning radius.

The interior is in great condition with just the normal wear and patina on the console area & front seat.

Paint – The paint is in fabulous condition. The vehicle has never been wrecked, damaged or had paint work.

The original owner was a physician in his late 50’s and I am 62 years old. This is the most fun car I’ve owned in years and has never been abused.

The interior is in excellent with normal wear for a 13 year old car with 37,600 miles. There are no tears in the leather seats and the he door panels are perfect.

It is my second car and is driven ONLY on weekends to the golf course or to go out to dinner.

This is one great automobile that is ready to be driven & enjoyed for years and years to come.

Buyer to send $500 via PayPal within 48 hours. This will hold the vehicle for 10 days, whereupon the balance of purchasing price shall be paid.

You are responsible for picking up the car. If this vehicle isn’t everything I’ve said, I’ll refund your deposit. But it is everything and more!

2022 Jaguar I-Pace Road Test Review | 762 miles in Jag's EV

Wed, Apr 20 2022

A legion of new electric cars has been launched over the past couple years, so it’s easy to forget about one of the earliest entries in the electric revolution: the Jaguar I-Pace. In fact, the I-Pace is so old now that itÂ’s getting a mid-cycle refresh of sorts for the 2022 model year. Autoblog had its “First Drive” of this futuristic-looking crossover-hatchback nearly four years ago, so itÂ’s time to see where the electric Jag stands now that it has more competition.  To really get a sense of where the I-Pace fits today, I decided to take it on a road trip from Detroit, Michigan, to Buffalo, New York, and back. This would test the carÂ’s real-world highway range, its charging ability and luxury prowess as a premium crossover. It also ended up being a test of the Rust BeltÂ’s charging infrastructure and ability to facilitate EV road tripping. The trip starts with a 100% charge in Michigan, 50-degree weather and a 381-mile drive ahead of me. According to the sticker for this 2022 Jaguar I-Pace EV400 HSE, it has a 222-mile range on a full charge — thatÂ’s down from the 234 miles it was rated for in 2021. I set out, and itÂ’s all good vibes at the start. This I-Pace has the standard 20-inch wheels (not the optional, giant 22s), which pair perfectly with the air suspension to provide a truly comfy ride. The adaptive cruise control makes dealing with rush-hour traffic through Detroit easy, and the I-PaceÂ’s dual-motor powertrain, good for 394 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, is a delight to unleash when the road opens up. Even at 60 mph-plus, the I-Pace has plenty of go to pin you back like other quick EVs do today. As I make my way into Ohio and navigate through Toledo, some gripes pop up. The lane-centering system is finicky and downright scary at times. Poor lane markings cause it to abruptly yank the car left or right, and you need to be quick at the wheel to keep it from driving onto the shoulder or worse — other cars with similar lane-following tech perform significantly better on the same roads. ItÂ’s even more frustrating when I learn how good it is on a highway with clear and proper lane markings, tracking beautifully Â… until the road no longer cooperates. Its inability to cope when lane markings suddenly deteriorate makes this system hardly worth using. Watching out for its bad behavior is more mentally taxing than just turning the system off and driving without.

Jaguar teases four-door EV grand tourer; electric Range Rover orders open this year

Wed, Apr 19 2023

Jaguar just revealed a few vital details about a new EV it says will be revealed by the end of 2023, and Land Rover shared a little update about its upcoming electric Range Rover, too. Starting with the Jag, JLR — the new, official name for Jaguar Land Rover — announced that its next electric vehicle will be a four-door GT car. The image above is the teaser the company provided. Power output will be greater than any previous Jaguar, with the current record holder being the XE SV Project 8 at just over 590 horsepower. Range is claimed to be about 430 miles on a full charge (Jaguar doesn't specify the test cycle type), but that number could be different (and likely lower) here in the United States once EPA testing takes place. Jaguar says the grand tourer will debut its new in-house EV platform that is officially named JEA, which is unrelated to the electric XJ that was scrapped a couple years ago. And lastly, Jaguar says the vehicle will start at GBP100,000 in Great Britain. Pricing for the United States wasnÂ’t estimated, but a direct conversion at todayÂ’s rates puts it at about $124,000. Considering the price point, power level and range, this Jaguar is shaping up to be a potential Porsche Taycan competitor. The single teaser image at the top of this post suggests the same, as the photo shows a car with a fast-sloping roofline and wide, bulging fenders. ItÂ’s an exciting teaser, as it pretty much confirms that Jaguar will be coming in hot with a spicy-looking electric four-door. The last detail about this Jag confirmed today is its production site, as Jaguar says it will build the vehicle at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands, England. As for the Range Rover news, weÂ’ve known an electric Range Rover was on its way, now we know that the vehicle will launch in 2025. JLR says it will begin accepting orders for the electric Range Rover later this year, but didnÂ’t set an official date. The electric Range Rover will be built at JLRÂ’s Halewood plant in Merseyside, England. Those are all the details we know about today, but expect more teasers and information leading up to the reveal of these new EVs later in 2023. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise

Wed, Aug 9 2023

No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
