"The Black Cat."  Rare California Jaguar XJR-100 (supercharged).  The most rare and desirable of XJ sedans.  I've relocated and I'm tired of paying storage fees.  My loss...your gain.  Why pay dealer mark-up on a depreciating XJR or XJ when you could step up to a head turning investment that will hold it's value?  Check the internet for what other sellers are asking for their XJR-100.

Was offered only for model year 2002 with total production kept to 500.  These cars were bought and flipped due to being highly sort after.  XJR-100 was created to celebrate 100th anniversary of Jaguar founder Sir William Lyon's birthdate (hence the "100").  240 left-hand XJR-100's where sold in North America with MSRP $20,000 more than the XJ and $10,000 more than an XJR.  This is a well maintained rust-free California car in very clean to excellent condition.  It has a striking presence and is one of the smoothest, quickest sedans you will ever find!

The basic 2002 XJR facts:

Roots Supercharged 370 HP 4.0 liter V8 with 387 ft-lb of torque, 5 speed electronically controlled automatic, optional sport mode setting for enhanced performance, power memory telescopic steering wheel, four wheel ABS, traction control with Computer Active Suspension Technology (CATS) system, reverse parking sensors, front and rear fog lights, factory alarm system, cruise, air, heated leather seats front and rear, 8 speaker Alpine am/fm/CD stereo with subwoofer and 6 CD changer, 0 - 60 in 5.3 seconds. Newest Spectre trailer shows DB10, car chases, awesomeness

Wed, Jul 22 2015

It's not due in theaters until November and it's not like we've detected any weaknesses yet, but here we are with another trailer for the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre. That is not a complaint, because it looks like it's going to be, as one YouTuber said, "Spectretacular!" We digress. This time we get a little more of the Aston Martin DB10, including the top line for the spec sheet: Q says it will do 0-60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. Putting on the hat that lets us sincerely debate totally fictitious facts in a totally fictitious universe, we don't think that's fast enough to stay away from the villain's Jaguar C-X75, but it's not like Bond needs to when he's got flamethrowers. So there. You 'll find the latest bout of awesome in the clip above, and look for all the throwback cues. Christoph Waltz dresses like one Ernst Stavro Blofeld and uses the same interior decorator. Bad guy Dave Bautista in a three-piece suit is remarkably reminiscent of Oddjob, and there are various nods to On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Enjoy. 2024 Jaguar F-Type ZP Edition is the end of the line

Wed, Oct 11 2023

The Jaguar F-Type is going to leave us after the 2024 model year wraps up, but it’s not saying goodbye without a final limited-edition model. Named the F-Type ZP Edition, Jaguar will make just 150 of these throughout the 2024 model year. Why “ZP” Edition? Jaguar says itÂ’s a callback to the first race-winning “Project ZP” E-Type vehicles that were campaigned directly after that modelÂ’s launch in 1961. There will be two specifications for potential owners to choose from. The first is Oulton Blue paint combined with a red and black interior, and the other option is Crystal Grey paint with a blue and black interior. Both models will have Porcelain White hand-painted racing-style roundels on the doors. WeÂ’ll also note that neither of the two available exterior paint options have been offered on the F-Type until now. Of course, the base car underneath all the appearance extras is an F-Type R with the 575-horsepower supercharged V8 engine. YouÂ’ll be able to choose either the coupe or convertible, and both body styles get unique 20-inch forged wheels with “ZP” etched into them shrouding black-painted calipers. YouÂ’ll also see ZP Edition branding on the fenders, sill plates and dashboard. Plus, each vehicle will get a “One of 150” SV Bespoke plaque on the interior. Pricing wasnÂ’t detailed by Jaguar, but if you want one, weÂ’d suggest getting in touch with a dealer sooner rather than later. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party. Watch Jaguar build its XJR Rapid Response Vehicle for Bloodhound SSC

Fri, Jun 19 2015

Last month, Jaguar revealed an F-Type specially equipped to serve as a Rapid Response Vehicle for the Bloodhound SSC. Now it's rolled out a pair of XJRs kitted out for the same purpose. Set to debut when test pilot Andy Green drives one up the hill at Goodwood later this month, the Jaguar XJR Rapid Response Vehicle has been equipped by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division. As you can see, it's got a special livery of blue and orange to mimic the rocket- and jet-powered streamliner's own color scheme, and has been stripped out and fitted with a roll cage and specially crafted tools for the land speed record attempt. Of course, the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 carries over with its 550 horsepower to propel it to 60 in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 174 miles per hour. Alongside the F-Type – which recently undertook a parachute deployment test – the pair of XJR Rapid Response Vehicles will be on hand in South Africa when the Bloodhound attempts to break the land speed record as well as the sound barrier on dry land. Check out the build process in the video. The two new additions to Bloodhound's fleet are the latest creation of Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division and are wrapped in a bespoke livery created by Jaguar Design incorporating the Bloodhound SSC colours.
