2000 Jaguar XJR Here is a very nice 2000 Jaguar that is a 1 Owner and ONLY has 58K Original Miles on it. Check out my store for more great Unique and Classic Cars. Look at the Autocheck Score. Make sure and check out the Video below. This is a very nice car and one of the most fun cars you will ever drive. These cars have the huge 4.0L V8 that is Supercharged. These cars put out a ton of power. This is a 1 Owner Car that only has 58K Original Miles on it. Someone took good care of this car over the years but it does have an issue that is going to have to be addressed. The turbo on this car is bad and is going to have to fixed or replaced. I paid to have the timing chain replaced and then come to find out the bearings are loose in the turbo and that's what you can hear. I didn't want to fix it and not get the warranty. I figured if you fixed it or had it replaced you would get the warranty for the work. I would probably get a new one instead of fixing this one but that is just me. The car is currently is valet mode and has some lights on and won't go over 30mph due to the turbo being bad. Other then that the car is super nice. Under the hood and undercarriage are clean and dry as can be. Make sure to watch the video I do a complete walk around of the car inside and out and even take it for a test drive. This is a 1 Owner Car that ONLY has 58K Original Miles The exterior of this car is beautiful. It is white in color and I don't usually like white on cars but this car really pulls it off. The paint is very nice and has a nice shine to it. The car looks like it was parked in a garage most of the time. The body is straight as can be and it's hard to find a ding anywhere. There is some scrapes on the front bumper and if it was me I would just have that painted at some point. The car looks great just like it is though. I really like the bigger factor 18" wheels that they put on these cars. The really give it a nice look. The tires are very nice and have lots of tread life left. The interior is very nice on this car. It is a tan in color and shows hardly any wear. The drivers seats shows a tiny bit of wear like a couple stress marks in it but other then that the seats have no rips or tears in them anywhere. The back seats don't look like they hardly ever got sat in. The carpets are in the same great shape and I like how they did the two tone interior with the black carpets. It really gives it a classy/luxury look. These cars are fully loaded with every options imaginable or that you could want. Everything on the car seems to work but watch the video I go through and show you everything. This car is just a rare beauty that you just don't see to many like. Once the car is fixed you will have a super low mile car that you will be hard pressed to find a cleaner one. I took pictures of every detail of this car so you can get the full picture and know exactly what you are getting. Petrolicious examines a very special Jaguar C-Type
Wed, Jul 8 2015There are rare Jaguars, and then there's this stunning C-Type Lightweight Le Mans. Built in response to the dominance of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL at the 1952 24 Hours of Le Mans, Jaguar made only three C-Types for 1953 and managed to capture first, second, and fourth. These cars featured four-wheel disc brakes – a rarity at the time even in endurance racing – and a lighter aluminum body. The two SU carburetors were swapped out for three Webers, meaning more power and, according to RM Sotheby's David Swig, better throttle response. Swig would know. In the latest video from Petrolicious, he takes the fourth-place C-Type for a ride, giving us a look at the sleek open-roof racer in action, while our ears enjoy the delicious sound of the 3.4-liter, twin-cam straight-six. "What I love about these cars is how communicative they are on the road," Swig told Petrolicious. "How when you're going through a corner, you feel in the seat of your pants and through the steering wheel every little movement, every little pebble that you drive over." Beyond the driving experience, there's something to be said of the historical seat Swig is occupying. "No less than five Le Mans-winning drivers of this period have sat behind the wheel of this car," Swig said, "which almost give you goosebumps." Should you have the money, you can actually put this iconic racing Jaguar in your garage. RM Sotheby's will offer it for auction as part of its glitzy Monterey Car Week event next month. VIDEO TRANSCRIPT: [00:00:00] Hey everybody, it's your old pal Seyth here with Autoblog. I am in the 2015 Jaguar XJL. That L is for a long-wheelbase. The engine powering this car is the 3.0-liter supercharged V6. My cameras inside probably didn't pick up a lot of that, but the supercharged 3.0-liter does have a nice little growl to it, especially in sport mode [00:00:30] where I'm staying higher in the rev range. It doesn't have that same big, luxurious, meaty, whoofly V8 sound as the naturally aspirated 5.0-liter used to. At 340 horsepower, 332 lb-ft of torque, this engine has everything that you need. I think that they say the 0 to 60 time is around six seconds. Frankly, the car feels a little bit faster even that that. Again, we're talking about a large long-wheelbase car here. What's particularly interesting and [00:01:00] relevant to the weather that you see behind me right now, is that this car is not rear-wheel drive. It is in fact all-wheel drive. Even going into this, knowing obviously that I was in an all-wheel drive car, the first drive really reveals it to handle a lot like a rear-wheel drive vehicle. That's appropriate. That's what you want in a car of this class. Something very luxurious and that has a reputation built on sporting dynamics as opposed to sort of just comfort and refinement. [00:01:30] Jaguar's goal with an all-wheel drive system like this is to make the car still feel very much like a rear-wheel drive vehicle but give you just enough ability to be able to pull out of a corner smartly when the grip is a little bit lower than you'd expect it to be. Obviously if there's some snow on the ground, that's a helpful thing. Or on a day like today, when I'm coming out of a corner on a slightly slippery road, being able to put the power down is advantageous. To be honest, so far the application has been really seamless. The power seems to be [00:02:00] flowing from the engine just to the rear wheels. I feel like I'm getting a little bit of assist, right now I'm entering a corner at a moderate speed and not really slipping at all. It feels like a rear-wheel drive car. I've always loved this XJ.
Junkyard Gem: 2005 Jaguar X-TYPE 3.0
Sat, Jun 18 2022During the Premier Automotive Group phase of Ford's ownership of Jaguar, it seemed to make sense to create a Jaguar that non-oligarchs could afford. By taking the Ford Mondeo (sold as the Ford Contour/Mercury Mystique on our shores) and adding luxury touches plus Jaguar styling, the X-TYPE came into being and hit American showrooms starting in the 2002 model year. Fast-forward a decade or two and it's no sweat to find entry-level European luxury sedans lined up in your local Ewe Pullet. Here's a decal-enhanced '05 X-TYPE 3.0 AWD I found in a yard near Pikes Peak a couple of months back. This car shows signs of having been loved dearly by its final owner. Since the paint is Topaz Metallic, which is sort of a gold shade, its name became Goldie. Goldie was sweet, it would seem. Perhaps the dripping-blood decal indicates that Goldie's sweetness was alloyed with cruelty. Paw-print, bloody-claw-mark, and Jaguar stickers abound. Goldie has eyes both at the top of the windshield and on the front bumper. Her headlights appear to leak blood. Those who might criticize these customization touches come face-to-face with this message at the windshield's lower edge. How would such a treasured machine end up in a place like this? As we see here, at some point Goldie got hit hard in the right rear, and the crash damage was too severe to be worth fixing. I hope everyone involved was wearing their seat belts. The interior looks to have been pretty nice before junkyard shoppers began prying off trim parts. Someone bought the stick-on hood scoop and the "Leaper" hood ornament. You can't have too many JAGUAR emblems! This is the newest junked Jaguar I've documented; the oldest was a 1969 XJ6. This content is hosted by a third party.
