10,750 miles – perfect perfect perfect.  Remember they are only original once and this is it! it shows and drives ust like it did 28 years ago

Sorry about the low quality pictures I used and older phone, the pictures just don’t do this car justice.

Up for sale is an all original (except tires) absolutely outstanding condition stunning 1986 10K mile Jaguar XJS in a beautiful show color combination of signal red with black leather interior. You will not find a better XJS coupe anywhere period!!! I changed the tires on this car 400 miles ago only because I was concerned about driving 80+ miles an hour on 28 year old tires. The spare is still the original

Ever wonder why some low mile jags you see for sale have new interiors and major engine work? Something is wrong - this car is perfect and all original with no need for major overhauls some sellers are claiming as a positive.

I have significant documentation on this car dating back over 10 years. While I love driving this car and looking at it I have two XJS’s and one XKE and future retirement plans will only allow for one play car and that would be the XKE. I will also be selling a 1990 XJS convertible with 39K miles in outstanding condition.

I purchased this car a year ago with the full intent of keeping it for a very long time and as such I have treated the car accordingly. When I purchased the car I had my jag mechanic replace many costly rubber components and seals out of concern for possible dry rot as the car has such low miles. I did this as a precaution not necessity with the expectation of many years of driving enjoyment.  I welcome pre bid inspections on this car and will provide a book of documentation on the work performed over the years.

During the last 12 months I had the following mechanical work performed by a highly qualified Jaguar mechanic.

1) New oil pan gasket

2) New brake pads

3) 4 new rear shocks

4) Rebuilt transmission mounts

5) Replace steering rack mounts

6) Replace upper and lower ball joints

7) Replace front crank seal – this was expensive

8) Replace a/c hoses and charge system

9) Flush break system

10) New lower radiator hose

11) New spark plugs

12) Change rear diff fluids

It’s getting harder to find great quality low mile XJS’s These cars are starting to gain in value as the price of XKE’s are out of reach for many and XJS’s are bargains when you consider how rare and exotic these cars are. For model year 1986 about 5,000 were manufactured which is an average production year.

This car is a one of a kind. Everyone that sees it makes a comment about how new it looks. Don’t miss out on a true collector’s quality car. Remember they are only original once and this is the best you will find. You can drive this car daily or like me just spend most of my time just looking at the car with a big smile.

If you have any questions about the car let me know however I will not answer questions regarding the reserve price which I believe is very reasonable. Best of luck

Watch the trailer for Jaguar's short film staring the F-Type and Damian Lewis

Thu, 07 Mar 2013

Jaguar continues to think well outside of the box when it comes to marketing it's new F-Type, now furthering plans for a short film which highlights the sexy roadster. Desire, featuring Damian Lewis (star of the hit series Homeland), Jordi Mollà (unforgettable in Bad Boys II) and Shannyn Sossamon (that girl you had a crush on for like a month in 2002 after you rented A Knight's Tale), Jaguar is clearly pulling out all the stops for this one. Well, nearly all the stops anyway - the "Ridley Scott Associates" billing isn't quite the same has having the man himself, if we're splitting hairs.
The short video below is still just a trailer for Desire - the full film will make its debut sometime in April, we're told. The sketched out plotlines tell us that Lewis' character Clark, "...delivers cars for a living, running into trouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman (Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert." The car looks good, at any rate.
Call us crazy, but the Desire trailer feels an awful lot like a spoof on the cool-but-overly-serious short films that BMW has done in this vein, already. Maybe we're just being cynical? Tell us what you think in comments after watching the clip.

Stunning Jaguar E-Type Lightweight tribute featured by Petrolicious

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

This is a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Coupe. Enzo Ferrari, Il Commendatore himself, called it "the most beautiful car ever made." It can count among its owners Steve McQueen, Brigitte Bardot and a number of other celebrities from the 1960s. It remains one of the prettiest and coolest cars ever.
While we don't normally prescribe to modifying classics like the E-Type, cars that are used for vintage racing, like this particular example, are certainly the exception. It's owned by Jason Len and is the subject of the latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
Len's 1964 E-Type has been fashioned to look like one of the rare Lightweight E-Types from 1963 and 1964. The aluminum-bodied E-Types, of which only a dozen were built, were all intended exclusively for racing, much like Len's heavily modified example. While it retains the 3.8-liter straight-six, its engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and body have been extensively tweaked and fettled to allow this classic Jag to compete with a field of V8s.

Jaguar could replace two of its slow-selling sedans with a compact hatchback

Mon, Jun 22 2020

Jaguar needs a home run, and it might merge the slow-selling XE and XF into a single model in a swing for the fences. The company is considering several ways to replace its two smallest sedans, and one option on the table is filling the gaps they'll create with a compact hatchback that would take Jaguar into a segment it's never been in before. Nothing is official yet, and Jaguar still hasn't ruled out developing a direct successor to each model, but British magazine Autocar learned at least two other options are being evaluated. Julian Thomson, the company's design boss, suggested their spot might be filled by a city-friendly hatch that would stretch about 177 inches from bumper to bumper, a figure that would catapult it into a segment dominated by the Audi A3, the BMW 1 Series, and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class. It would lure a new set of customers into the company's global showrooms. "I'd love to do smaller cars, and it feels as though the time is right. Jaguar needs a global product that could appeal to younger buyers, and more females as well," Thomson the publication. Although that's simple on paper, it's a lot more difficult to achieve in real life. "It's a tough sector. You need big numbers, which means big factories, and a big organization to sell them. But that's definitely where I would like us to be." Jaguar would need to find a cost-effective way to build the model. Developing an architecture from scratch is one possibility, though it's an expensive one for a company whose financial foundations are shaky at best. It could use its new MLA platform if it's flexible enough to underpin a small car, or it could ask BMW — which it's linked to via several on-going partnerships — to use the front-wheel-drive UKL architecture found under the aforementioned 1. One point the original report doesn't address is that, while a hatchback in the vein of the A3 would do well in Europe, it would fall flat on its face in the United States. That's why Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz all added a trunk to their Euro-flavored hatches for American buyers who prefer three-box sedans. Jaguar would either need to do the same, meaning it would replace two sedans with a hatchback turned into a sedan, or it would end up giving up thousands of sales in one of the world's largest car markets, which would be counterintuitive. Another possibility floated by Autocar is replacing the XE (pictured) and the XF with a compact sedan described as eco-focused.
