ATTENTION: VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE A CLEAR TITLE - THERE IS NO OPTION TO CHOOSE FOR "BILL OF SALE" SO I HAD TO CHOOSE "CLEAR TITLE". VEHICLE DOES NOT COME WITH A TITLE - BILL OF SALE ONLY!!!
UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1956 JAGUAR XK150 COUPE.
LET ME START WITH WHAT I DO NOT HAVE FOR THIS VEHICLE: original motor or trans; front seats; front bumper; horn button; and title to vehicle (it comes with a "bill of sale" only!)
THIS CAR IS VERY FIXABLE. HAS TYPICAL RUST FOR ONE OF THESE CARS. SHEET METAL IS VERY GOOD EXTERIOR WISE. FRAME SEEMS TO BE VERY SOLID. IT DOES NEED FLOOR PANS. MOST LIKELY NEEDS SOME METAL WORK HERE AND THERE. OVERALL A VERY SOLID VEHICLE. I DID NOT TAKE PICTURES UNDER THE HOOD, BECAUSE I AM UNABLE TO GET THE LATCH RELEASED. HOWEVER, I DID SPRAY IT WITH WD-40. I DO KNOW THAT UNDER THE HOOD IS A SMALL-BLOCK CHEVY AND POWER-GLIDE TRANSMISSION. I ALSO HAVE ALL HEADLIGHTS, HEADLIGHT TRIM AND BOTTOM WINDSHIELD TRIM.
CALL WITH ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING.

Watch new Jaguar XF perform a literal high-wire act
Thu, Mar 26 2015Coming out with a new luxury sedan can be a truly daunting prospect. Make it too edgy and you'll risk disenfranchising what can often be a rather conservative customer base. Make it too conservative and you may fail to attract enough new customers or generate enough interest to make the endeavor worthwhile. Whether Jaguar succeeded in walking that thin line with the new XF is a matter of personal taste, blending as it does elements from the smaller XE and the outgoing XF it replaces. But in launching the new model, Jaguar didn't just pull of a figurative high-wire act – it did quite a literal one. To drum up support for its newest debut, Jaguar undertook the stunt depicted in the video above, stringing a pair of carbon-fiber cables some 60 feet above the River Thames in London. With some guide wires and counterbalance weights to keep it all in check, and a motion-picture stunt crew orchestrating it all, the new XF drove over 780 feet from one bank of the river to the other, setting a new world record in the process. Instead of thinking too hard about the whys (seriously, though... why?) and hows, we suggest you just watch the video above. Related Video:
Jaguar 3 Series-fighter to spawn coupe, wagon
Wed, 25 Sep 2013With its sights set on the BMW 3 Series, Jaguar could be planning a full range of models for its upcoming entry-level car - possibly called the XS. We've already seen spy shots of the four-door version of this all-aluminum baby Jag, but according to Auto Express, the automaker will also offer the car in coupe and wagon variants.
The XS sedan should hit the market in 2015, and the coupe and wagon models are expected soon after that. Speaking with Jag's global brand director Adrian Hallmark, AE says that the XS will be focused on styling with a design similar to the recently introduced C-X17 crossover concept. Hallmark also said that the addition of the XS lineup could help Jaguar double its sales, which were at 357,773 global units in 2012. Head on over to Auto Express for some speculative renderings of the XS coupe and wagon.
Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels
Thu, 24 Jan 2013The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
