1991 Jaguar Xjs Convertible on 2040-cars

1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible V12 Automatic with 72,982 actual miles. The car is red with a black convertible top and tan interior. The car is equipped with power windows, power door locks, a/c, power top, heated seats, power antenna, and remote key fobs. The car runs and drives great. It will need the front tires replaced. The rear tires are about 50%. Everything on the car works with the exception of the air conditioning. The A/C blows cold, but it blows out the lower heater ducts and the defrost ducts and not out the dash vents. The car presents well from 10 feet. Upon closer inspection, their are a few scratches that have been touched up as well as a few small dents/dings. The only rust on the body is the very back edge of one rocker panel (right in front of the rear wheel). The passenger rear quarter panel has some clear peeling where it meets the bumper. The leather seats could use a more thorough cleaning. The convertible top was replaced. However, someone put a bead of silicone at the bottom of the rear window. I am selling the car for my father-in-law so please call him with questions at 740-296-6545. He took the car as partial trade for another car he was selling. The car is being sold as is where is and the reserve is reasonable but will not be revealed. The buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Please do not bid if you have no intention of following through with the sale. Good luck.

Jaguar to expand Jaguar XKR-S GT production run?
Wed, 10 Apr 2013According to a report in Autocar, demand for the Jaguar XKR-S GT is such that the English company could nearly double production from 30 to 50 cars. Such inflation can often incense those have already put deposits down, worried that they've both been lied to about the potentially diminished values of their cars, but Jaguar has made the announcement barely a day after the XKR-S GT was revealed and 50 still isn't that many vehicles.
Nothing in the Autocar report indicates the additional examples will not come to America, making the 500-horsepower superfast coupe a treat we can still call all our own. Jaguar didn't add horsepower but instead honed other aspects of the car to produce a GT that can lap the 'Ring nearly as quickly as a Ferrari 458 Italia, and the world should be the beneficiary, the company's brand director saying, "The real beauty of this project has been that it has extended our understanding of the elements involved in making a car go so fast, and that will feed back into all our road car programs." Sounds good to us.
Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
Unlatched Jaguar E-Type hood doesn't prevent blind overtakes at Goodwood
Sat, Sep 8 2018One of the things about Goodwood Revival that really sticks with you is that the classic racing cars are really driven hard there. It's never a slow parade around the track, but instead the vintage Ferraris and Jaguars really battle each other, metal against metal, lap after lap. The result is often scraped and bent sheetmetal, no matter how pricelessly valuable the vintage cars are. This clip, shared on the Goodwood Road & Racing YouTube channel, really shows the attitude that makes Goodwood what it is. Rob Huff, in a fixed-roof E-type, is chasing after Nigel Greensall in an E-type Roadster in the Kinrara Trophy race, and man, he really wants to get past. The problem is that every time the nose of Huff's Jaguar gently taps the rear quarter of the white Jaguar, the car's large hood wants to flip up and obscure the view, making overtaking even harder than it already is. Clearly Greensall doesn't want to let Huff ahead of him all that easily. We can only imagine how much work it takes to keep a classic Jaguar like that pointing in the right direction on a slightly wet track, let alone driving blind on a racecourse due to a massive clamshell hood in the way. At least we get a view of the XK six-cylinder engine. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
