1987 Jaguar Xjs Base Coupe 2-door 5.3l on 2040-cars
Arlington, Massachusetts, United States
For sale is a very well kept and an excellent
running and driving 1987 Jaguar XJS. HE This car rides and runs great, and shifts smoothly. I have owned this car for the last 14 years, always garaged (heated) never in rain or snow. I have had to recharge the ac the last few years R-12 is costly, if I were keeping it I would have it converted to the new system. The paint is very nice as is the interior. There is a small tear on the drivers lower seat and the passenger seat needs to be recovered. Interior trim strip over drivers door is missing. the rest of the interior is in very nice shape. Mechanically it runs great, the engine was rebuilt in 2001 @ 91,000 miles and now has just 103,348 miles on it. there are no leaks, no smoke and no electrical problems. The brakes, tires are all in good shape. The wood grain on the dash is good and there is a very small crack in the dash. otherwise it is a beautiful car. Please call or text 781-308-0218 or email with any questions, thanks |

Jaguar F-Type Coupe is here, will debut on stage in LA
Tue, 05 Nov 2013When Jaguar previewed its new sportscar two years ago with the C-X16 concept, it showed a coupe form. But when the car hit production as the F-Type, it rolled out in roadster form only. Not that we're complaining, but we all knew it wouldn't be long before Coventry revealed the production coupe, and that's just what it's doing at this month's LA Auto Show.
Jaguar hasn't given us much to go on yet - just a single shot of the vehicle from above and nothing in the way of technical details - but we all know the drill. The F-Type Coupe will essentially be the same as the existing roadster, only with a fixed roof - with a large glass panel, mind you, to let plenty of light in and keep the cabin from feeling markedly more claustrophobic than the open-top version.
That ought to make it a little lighter (though not much) and a little stiffer, but otherwise we can expect more or less the same specs as the convertible. We'll have to wait until the evening of November 19 to know for sure, though, so watch this space for more.
Jaguar XE teased in new video, will debut September 8
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Outside of a major auto show, this might be one of the best times of the year for new car debuts, and we couldn't be more excited. Just this week, the low-slung face of the next-generation Mazda MX-5 Miata showed itself to the world, and Land Rover debuted its new Discovery Sport. Plus, there's a double-whammy of launches on the imminent horizon with the unveilings of the Jaguar XE on September 8 and the Mercedes-AMG GT on September 9.
Jag is teasing the launch of its latest midsize luxury sedan with a few glimpses on video. It's strangely secretive, given the fact that Jaguar showed the XE's face completely un-camouflaged a few weeks ago. Regardless, it's quite a looker up front with a sleeker take on the shape of the larger XF.
Because of the way Jaguar is slowly leaking details about the XE, there are a few other things we already know about this new cat, too. It rides on a monocoque chassis made from over 75 percent aluminum, and the automaker is promising 75 miles per gallon fuel economy on the more lenient European cycle for at least one engine in the lineup.
Jaguar F-Type Project 7 leaks in production trim ahead of Goodwood debut
Tue, 24 Jun 2014Just yesterday we brought you word that Jaguar was planning to bring something special to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year - the first product of its Special Operations division - and now we have it right here.
Previewed in concept form last year, Jaguar's big reveal appears to be the production version of the Project 7 show car - an extreme speedster version of the F-Type. Though we still don't have official details, these images leaked courtesy of 4WheelsNews show that the roadster seems to have lost little in the transition from concept to reality.
The bright blue paint job has been replaced by a more British shade of green, but the white trim - including the racing stripes running across (not up) the hood, the grille surround and the number circle on the door - appear to have carried over. As has the D-Type-inspired, fin-like, single raised cowling on the rear deck, though now positioned behind the left-hand driver's seat instead of the right. The wheels are fresh and the front lip spoiler looks even bigger, and the rear wing appears to have been reshaped.
