2005 Jaguar Xjr on 2040-cars
Hewitt, Texas, United States
More details at: tristatmmaurizio@ukspecialists.com .
Hello Jaguar lovers! For sale is this immaculate Jaguar 2005 with extremely low miles 27K
The car cannot be more loaded from what Jaguar offered at that time, as it comes with almost every single feature
available. The Sticker price was about 94K!!
Remember also that the highest quality XJR’s ever made were the years 2004 & 2005, after those years, Jaguar
started removing standard top quality parts on the car year on year as most probably it was way too expensive to
manufacture it.
This is also the car that was made of aluminum! Rust free to last very long.
This is the year as well that the Brembo Brakes came with the XJR’s. The luxury and performance of this car is
unbelievable with its 400HP engine.
This car was bought by me two and a half years ago (Sep-2013) with only 26K miles from the only one owner. A
dealership in Philadelphia was the intermediate person.
As soon as I got the car I bought new spoke 19” wheels (those are more appealing for a XJR) as per photos, new
tires (Dunlop), add the 3M skirt on the front for protection, changed all the disk rotors for new ones and did full
service, all these at the Jaguar dealership. The bill was about 8K.
The car came with the 20” Sepang wheels and will be given with the car only if the full asking price is paid. The
20” Sepang wheels are worth 2K.
The car is flawless, I just put less than 1K mile on all these years.
Always under garage with AC! It still has the scent of new and you will not find something better unless there is a
brand new one somewhere out there.
No lines, No scratches, No dents, No Nothing!! Simple perfection.
The car was bought for the pure intention of collection and not usage. This is my big loss and your big gain!
The pictures taken here were without washing the car for a year! Just to have an idea how it looks.
This specific car and model is considered by some serious car magazines to become not only a beautiful classic but
a highly collective vehicle in the near future.
I’m assigned to another country for my work and it is not possible for me to take the car, storing it in a AC
unit will cost me in a few years more than the car.

Land Rover plotting high-performance Disco Sport, Evoque
Tue, Jan 20 2015Jaguar Land Rover is getting serious about performance with its new SVR line of high-output machinery. We've already seen the Range Rover Sport SVR, and we're anticipating more to follow with SVR versions of the new Jaguar XE, Range Rover LWB, outgoing Land Rover Defender and plenty more. The lineup will eventually include performance versions of most, but not all of the British automaker's products. But while the smallest Land Rovers may not get the full-on SVR treatment, JLR reportedly has something in the works. According to Australian website Motoring, Land Rover is watching the segment and considering its options. It sees Audi with its SQ5, BMW planning performance versions of the X3 and X4, and Mercedes plotting an AMG version of the GLC that's set to replace the GLK. The question is just what Land Rover will do. Both the Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque are based on the same D8 platform that incorporates transversely mounted inline-fours, so fitting something larger might be prohibitive, but a high-output turbo version of the new Ingenium four-cylinder engine design could do the trick. Considering what the likes of Volvo and Mercedes have managed to do with their high-strung turbo fours, Land Rover's approach could prove to be no slouch at all – even without the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 powering the flagship SVR models. In related news, Autovisie – the automotive section of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf – projects that an SVR version of the Jaguar F-Type will be among the high-performance models coming up next. Slotting above the F-Type R with its 550 horsepower, the F-Type SVR will be even more powerful. The Project 7 speedster packaged a 575-hp version of the same supercharged V8, potentially pointing the way forward for future SVR models. Stunning Jaguar E-Type Lightweight tribute featured by Petrolicious
Tue, 17 Dec 2013This is a Series 1 Jaguar E-Type Coupe. Enzo Ferrari, Il Commendatore himself, called it "the most beautiful car ever made." It can count among its owners Steve McQueen, Brigitte Bardot and a number of other celebrities from the 1960s. It remains one of the prettiest and coolest cars ever.
While we don't normally prescribe to modifying classics like the E-Type, cars that are used for vintage racing, like this particular example, are certainly the exception. It's owned by Jason Len and is the subject of the latest video from the team at Petrolicious.
Len's 1964 E-Type has been fashioned to look like one of the rare Lightweight E-Types from 1963 and 1964. The aluminum-bodied E-Types, of which only a dozen were built, were all intended exclusively for racing, much like Len's heavily modified example. While it retains the 3.8-liter straight-six, its engine, transmission, suspension, brakes and body have been extensively tweaked and fettled to allow this classic Jag to compete with a field of V8s.
2013 Jaguar XJ AWD
Tue, 18 Dec 2012Even though this year's winter has gotten off to an abnormally slow start for most of North America, Jaguar has shown the world it means business by launching its all-new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system in Montreal, Canada. Designed primarily for consumers in the Northern US and Canada, Jaguar put us on the same snowy, slushy and icy roads that many of its buyers will have to deal with. Rather than making declawed versions of the XJ and XF, Jag says this system enhances the performance abilities of its sedans when desired while still making them as fun to drive as their rear-wheel-drive counterparts. We had a chance to test out both the XF AWD and XJ AWD, but we spent most of our time behind the wheel of the flagship XJ, driving it on the open roads as well as a few closed courses.
Considering the lengthy and convoluted history of the Jaguar brand - including a stint as a member of Ford's defunct Premier Automotive Group alongside Volvo and Aston Martin - it is rather surprising that the automaker is just now getting around to introducing an all-wheel-drive system intended for widespread use, but the new Instinctive AWD will finally allow the XF, XJ and other future products to better compete against the likes of Mercedes-Benz 4Matic, BMW xDrive and Audi Quattro. In the XJ, Jaguar expects the AWD models to account for around 40 percent of the product mix nationwide and a little bit more (50 percent) for the XF, but in the northern states, it expects around 80 percent of XF sales to be AWD variants.
Instinctive AWD is rear-biased and operates as full rear-wheel drive in good weather, but when the road conditions turn slick, the system can split engine power 50:50 between front and rear axles using a center transfer case.
