For an original MSRP of over $75,000, this is, as expected, an exceptional vehicle. 400 HP (with the K&N & synthetic fluids) and 400 Ft-Lbs of Torque from this XJR is just unbelievable to experience until you have. I bought it with a new job lined up that fell through at the last minute and am now trying to recoup my investment. I paid cash for it and have the title in hand. It comes with the original Owners and Touchscreen manuals and a CD with ALL the manuals from the basic guide to the advanced technicians manuals (that I bought in PDF format) for the DIYer & Two(2) key FOBs. The leather has been conditioned and treated regularly to ensure a long life and supple feel. It has a non-smoking background so there are no blemishes to the interior from cigars or cigarettes. Less than 100 miles since an oil and filter change of Castrol 5W-30 (Jaguar recommended) full synthetic oil. The photos speak for themselves at the outstanding condition of this amazing vehicle. I have always felt that Jaguars were some of the more beautiful and elegant vehicles ever made and when I had this opportunity to finally get one this good, I was crushed to learn that I must part with her. If the tides turn for me, I pray that I will be able to obtain another beauty like her, but in the now I must do what is best for my family. There are many extra items that I purchased to enhance the overall look of her that are included and can be seen in the last pic with a basic description of each. Virginia requires an annual state safety inspection and she passed in August of 2014 so she is good until August of 2015. The pics The photos I have are from the dealer as I just got it, but I will take some ASAP and remove the old ones along with this disclaimer. Please feel free to inquire about anything and I'll do my best to assist. I have the CarFax on hand as well.

Additional Payment Information:
A Cashier's Check or Money Order from a National Institution that can be cashed immediately is acceptable, but Cash is the preferred method. A personal check may be considered, but a 14 day hold will be required before the vehicle, title, & bill of sale is released and is NOT negotiable. An "E-Check" via PayPal for the deposit WILL NOT suffice either as PayPal themselves report that it cannot be guaranteed. Additionally, the deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE if the balance isn't received within the time period allotted without prior coordination with the seller (me). As PayPal has fees that vary, a 3% surcharge will be added to the PayPal deposit to cover that and is due upon final payment. However, this can be avoided by discussing alternate options with the seller (me) prior to transaction completion.

SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Buyer is responsible for any and all matters regarding the shipping and obtaining possession of the vehicle once the final & total amount has been paid in full to the approval of the seller. The Seller assumes no responsibility for the property once the process of shipment/possession begins. A written agreement with the buyer and/or shipping agent will be completed as well as video of agreement confirmation and at that point the seller is released of any and all responsibility of any damage or mistreatment of the vehicle. Arrangements for the seller to deliver the vehicle may be a possibility, but terms must be agreed upon by both parties prior to any action by the buyer and seller. Ebay's disclaimer reads "The buyer is responsible for vehicle pickup or shipping (recommended)" and I am in agreement, but am willing to attempt a negotiation.

Unrelated to the sale, but pertinent in my mind; I am a medically retired/disabled Army SGT (16 years) and a Commonwealth of Virginia Notary Public. I am only listing this information to speak for my character.

1956 Jaguar D-Type could top $5M at Arizona auction

Fri, Oct 30 2015

The Jaguar D-Type is an essential element of the marque's history, one of its most successful racing cars, and one of its most beautiful creations. Chassis number XKD 604, pictured here, was the first of six long-nose Jaguar D-Types made for the factory team in 1956. They were, however, far from ubiquitous, with only 53 made for private customers, and another 18 campaigned by the factory racing team. More advanced than the examples that preceded it, this one was equipped with a de Dion rear suspension and fuel injection. It didn't have much of a distinguished racing career to speak of, passing from the factory to the Ecurie Ecosse team in Scotland which kept it in storage for years. After the team's closing, it passed through the hands of two British owners, undergoing a full restoration at the hands of the latter, before trading between two US owners. Although precise pre-sale estimates are available by request to interested parties, RM confirmed to Autoblog that this example "is expected to fetch more than $5 million when it crosses the auction podium in January." According to Sports Car Market, last year the same auction house sold a customer D-Type in Paris for nearly that much. However at its London auction in 2013, another works example failed to sell despite a high bid of over $6.2 million. If this one takes in more than that, it'll set a record for the type. If classic Jaguars aren't your thing, RM also has lined up an enviable roster of Ferraris. Included among them is a yellow '71 Daytona (estimated to fetch over $700k), a silver '91 Testarossa (~$250k), a rare yellow '95 F512 M (~$450k), and a pristine 2011 599 SA Aperta (~$1.3m). Porsche fans will want to check out the '76 911 Turbo (~$250k) and the soft-window '69 911 S Targa (~$225k). With the auction not set to take place until January 28 at the Arizona Biltmore, you can bet there'll be a good number of additional lots consigned between now and then.

Jaguar Land Rover proposes seats that scientifically massage your butt, for your health

Thu, Jan 16 2020

Habitually sitting too long can degrade a person's health. Scientific research has proven that dormancy can increase the risk of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, deep-vein thrombosis, and metabolic syndrome, according to the Harvard Medical School. Although sitting can be avoided in many cases, such as using a standing desk at work, taking a seat is the only option when hopping in the car for a drive. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is hoping to address this negative aspect of cars with a new high-tech seat that the company says mimics the act of walking.  JLR calls the concept a shape-shifting, or morphable, seat system, and it is currently in a trial period with Jaguar Land Rover’s Body Interiors Research division. Using actuators built into the seat's foam, the seat will constantly be in motion with micro-adjustments that can be tuned to the needs of different people and body types. JLR believes it has created a system that recreates what is known as pelvic oscillation, a motion that can supposedly trick the brain into thinking the body is walking. In addition to helping to prevent internal health issues, JLR also notes that a sedentary lifestyle can degrade and shorten muscles in the legs, hips, and rear. If these muscles are worked on a regular basis, the chance and risk of injury and back issues could potentially be reduced. The new seats are just one of many car interior technologies JLR has explored. In the past, we've seen tech that tracks brainwaves and heart rates, creates augmented reality, helps prevent motion sickness, and helps stop the spread of germs. They've also taken the time to have an expert demonstrate the perfect seating position. Most of this stuff is experimental for now, but it's possible similar features could eventually trickle down to production cars, in time. See how the seat moves in the video below. 2021 Jaguar F-Type R Exhaust Test | Music to a gearhead's ears

Tue, Aug 4 2020

Against all odds, England has outmaneuvered America for the most savage and wicked-sounding V8 among the two countries. The 5.0-liter supercharged V8 in the Jaguar F-Type has sounded better than anything since it was popped into the R and SVR. Sorry Hellcats, Coyotes, and small blocks everywhere. Jaguar wins. Ford’s flat-plane crank Voodoo V8 in the GT350 and GT350R might be the only one that can compete on the same playing field. One drive in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type R will have you asking, how is this legal? The sheer level of noise coming out of those four very real chrome exhaust tips ensures every single head turns towards the Jaguar sports car if it hadnÂ’t already. In fact, itÂ’s so loud that we even struggled to record it authentically. You see, flooring it all but overwhelmed our microphone with the deafening roar. The key to hearing what the actual exhaust note sounds like is listening to it rev at a slower rate of speed. Then thereÂ’s the trouble of picking up its glorious overrun full of racecar-like yowls and crackling for days. No matter how you drive, youÂ’re guaranteed to be the most obnoxious individual around. Revving it up to around 3,500 rpm in first gear then releasing the throttle unloads a scary level of pops and crackles that echo throughout entire downtown blocks. ItÂ’s almost like Jaguar figured people would still want to make a stupid amount of noise even if theyÂ’re driving along slowly. This car has no chill. Pulling an upshift anywhere past 4,000 rpm prompts a chainsaw-like, ripping braaaaap that will scare small children and the easily-startled everywhere. It induces endless laughter and enjoyment for the driver behind the wheel. The cliche of "itÂ’ll bring out your inner child" perfectly applies to the F-Type R.  Americans can rest assured that theyÂ’re getting the most savage version of JaguarÂ’s exhaust, too. European F-Types have the required gasoline particulate filters that choke the noise, whereas U.S. cars donÂ’t. Sorry, Earth. If youÂ’ve done much reading on the 2021 F-Type already, youÂ’d know that this updated R actually gets the same engine as the previous generationÂ’s SVR. That means it has 575 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. However, the exhaust on the new R is different from the old SVR in that itÂ’s slightly tamer. ItÂ’s difficult to fathom a wilder exhaust than the one fitted to this R, but it makes perfect sense to reserve the ultimate noise maker for the ultimate version of the F-Type.
