2004 Jaguar Xjr Base Sedan 4-door 4.2l Supercharged With Navigation on 2040-cars
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
2ND LISTING, CAR ALREADY SOLD 2 WEEKS AGO ON EBAY, BUYER NEVER CAME TO TABLE WITH CASH!
This is a rare Jaguar that I just didn't want to give up but we are moving and downsizing and car hasn't been driven in almost a year. I know of nothing but cosmetic items that need taken care of. Car runs great and super fast! I bought car with apox 42,000 miles on it in 2007 ! Lease turn in sold and bought at Manheim. 90% of miles put on car between PGH and OCMD, between 2007 - 2011 Had new brakes and tires put on car a month before I transferred tag, to a current work vehicle. It has since expired its inspection but I have no knowledge or reason to believe it would not pass inspection right now. Just started car for first time in months and fired right up. Has Navigation in trunk but not sure of discs, I have never used or tried and have never seen discs, but could be installed in holder in trunk? Does need both side rear small light lens cover, can't really be seen in pics. Never priced out but figure $20 for lens cover???? Also needs bottom lower front grill plastic guard. This car has NOT had any paint or body work done to it since I have owned and don't think it had any done prior to my ownership. The stains visible on carpet in trunk are from spilt Clorox Cleaner from car cleaning products in truck that somehow opened in travel. This car has NO flood damage and has never been near a flood since the day I owned it and I have no reason to believe it was ever damaged before my ownership! Car was maintained well but not been to Jag dealership in last few years. I recall having no issues with this car at all but the car fax will tell you last time I had any Jag service. I have owned new Jags, 2005 Mercedes Benz S500, Lincolns, Caddys, Lexus and Infinitis and this by far my favorite of all of them. It is complete style with the handling and power of any car I had including a Supra Twin Turbo & Jaq XJ 12 !!!! I am starting this auction at a very fair price with no reserve and this car WILL SELL AGAIN!!!!! I was offered almost $11,000 on trade but didn't want to sell at time! I sure do now!!!! Email any questions and I will answer to the best of my ability! Good luck bidding! |

Jaguar F-Type Coupe patent images exposed, 4-cyl coming?
Fri, 03 May 2013Last year, Jaguar told us that "if you get a convertible right, it's easy to do a coupe" in reference to a coupe version of the Jaguar F-Type, and now we might be seeing our first unofficial look at a hardtop version of the convertible. The German publication Auto Motor und Sport has dug up what it is reporting to be patent images filed by Jaguar showing the lines of the new coupe.
If these are actually patent drawings, they have definitely been enhanced with color and shadowing compared to what we usually see from OEM patent filings. We wouldn't be surprised if they are just altered images of Jaguar's C-X16 Concept, but either way, it's going to be a sharp car. On top of the new coupe, the article also says that the F-Type could be getting the same 240-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is currently used in the Jaguar XF, as well as the Land Rover LR2 and Range Rover Evoque.
Watch the trailer for Jaguar's short film staring the F-Type and Damian Lewis
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Jaguar continues to think well outside of the box when it comes to marketing it's new F-Type, now furthering plans for a short film which highlights the sexy roadster. Desire, featuring Damian Lewis (star of the hit series Homeland), Jordi Mollà (unforgettable in Bad Boys II) and Shannyn Sossamon (that girl you had a crush on for like a month in 2002 after you rented A Knight's Tale), Jaguar is clearly pulling out all the stops for this one. Well, nearly all the stops anyway - the "Ridley Scott Associates" billing isn't quite the same has having the man himself, if we're splitting hairs.
The short video below is still just a trailer for Desire - the full film will make its debut sometime in April, we're told. The sketched out plotlines tell us that Lewis' character Clark, "...delivers cars for a living, running into trouble after a chance encounter with a mysterious, young woman (Sossamon) in the middle of a lawless desert." The car looks good, at any rate.
Call us crazy, but the Desire trailer feels an awful lot like a spoof on the cool-but-overly-serious short films that BMW has done in this vein, already. Maybe we're just being cynical? Tell us what you think in comments after watching the clip.
Lightweight E-Type to show historic side of Jaguar Special Operations in Monterey
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Jaguar has made a lot of great vehicles over the years, but as far as historians are concerned, it still very much lives in the shadow of the original E-Type, small as it was. In its image, Jaguar has made two generations of XK and the new F-Type, but what we have here is the most faithful continuation of the E-Type heritage yet.
Alongside the Range Rover Sport SVR and the F-Type Project 7 (making its US debut), Jaguar Land Rover and its new Special Operations division will roll into Pebble Beach this year with the continuation Lightweight E-Type. Of the 72,500 E-Types which Jaguar built between 1961 and 1975, only a dozen were Lightweight versions, and they remain the most coveted E-Types of all. It originally planned on building 18 examples, though, and five decades later, it's now committed to completing that original production run in faithful detail.
The Lightweight E-Type was based on the standard roadster and was homologated as such, just with some key upgrades to make it lighter and faster. The biggest change, of course, was the lightweight aluminum bodywork that cut 205 pounds off the curb weight. To replicate it, Jaguar took the last example (the only one made in 1964 after the original eleven were made in '63), scanned half its body surface, mirrored it to ensure symmetry and set about reproducing it with the same standard of materials available in the Sixties (and resisting the urge to go with more modern grades of aluminum). 75 percent of the 230 components are made in-house, with the largest stampings outsourced and built on machinery built to Jaguar's specifications off-site.
