Up for bid is a 1973 Jaguar XJ12 Saloon. NO TITLE....The short wheelbase XJ series was the LAST CAR that Sir William Lyon's designed. These car's would set at his Manor sometimes for close to a year as he added touch's. It would only go into production upon his approval. This is a Short Wheelbase car and was the last year manufactured (168 car's produced for the whole world in '73). If you are a collector of Jag's this is the one you want. When sold new they were touted by Jaguar as "The World's only Mass Produced 12 Cylinder Sedan" and with a top speed "Around a 140 MPH" the "Fastest Full Four-Seater Availible". Built in 1972 and '73 only, it's the last year of the V12 in it's short wheelbase form. A reminder of the V12's performance in America came from Bob Tullius's Group 44 Quaker State 5.3 Litre XKE & XJS that owned SCCA class's in the '70's. The long wheelbase "L" series started in 1974. This car needs a total restoration, the number's matching V12 turns over and it has a totally rebuilt Borg Warner model 12 transmission that has never turned a tire. Car has 76000 original miles. Here's the story on this California car. It's original women owner was having transmission problem's with her V12 Jaguar, she took it to the local California transmission shop that specialized in european car's to have it inspected. The shop concluded that it had a internal transmission problem that would need it's transmission disassembled to further diagnose & repair. She agreed and left her car. It took almost 7 month's to get it fixed. She wasn't happy when she arrived to take the car home. After paying for a very expensive transmission repair she got in her car to go home and it wouldn't start. The transmission shop was unable to start the car also. Needless to say she was not happy. They agreed to pay to tow the car to her house. After spending alot of money on the transmission and unable to have anyone driveway fix it, the car just set and set for year's. The good...the bad...and the ugly. It's a 100 percent complete (good), it has a large percentage of it's original paint remaining (good), it DOESN'T HAVE A TITLE (bad), the interior need's redone (ugly) however leather seat kit's are dirt cheap. There is only one spot of rust on the body (LH rear door bottom corner-smaller than a deck of card's). Here's one of Automobile magazine's 10 most beautiful car's of all time's in it's beyond rare V12 form. Buy the best XJ long wheelbase car and use the part's to restore this car, long wheelbase car's are inexpensive and plentiful (6's or 12's). Canyon County doesn't like my car's so I have to sell them all, here's my rarest car 1st. Remember ...NO TITLE!!!!...Has not ran for a long time.....For Part's or Rebuild only......Car is in Idaho (208)463-6364

Jaguar Land Rover remains bullish on diesels
Wed, Sep 30 2015Despite Volkswagen's recent diesel scandal, Jaguar Land Rover is pushing ahead with ambitious plans to roll out the technology across most of its lineup in the coming years. Jaguar and Land Rover will add diesel engine variants to every model in their lineups, except for the Jaguar F-Type sports car. Land Rover launched the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport with available 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesels, and together they have sold more than 330 units so far in September, their first month on sale in the United States. JLA officials say they've seen no fallout from VW's emissions problem and are adamant their diesels meet EPA standards. "That has been our strategy, and it is not changing," Joe Eberhardt, Jaguar Land Rover North America CEO, told the Automotive Press Association on Wednesday in Detroit. "You have to deal with the situations as they arrive. We are confident of diesel." Jaguar will get another diesel next year from its Ingenium engine family, which will initially be sold in the XE sedan and the F-Pace crossover. It's a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit and makes 180 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. A JLR spokesman said the Ingenium has not yet gone through the EPA certification process, and the diesel-powered models will arrive in the fall. Jaguar also plans to add diesel engines to the flagship XJ and XF sedans. Land Rovers, including the Discovery and Evoque, will also get diesel options, and the company estimates the technology will offer 20- to 30-percent improvements in fuel economy, depending on the vehicle. Eberhardt said it is "too soon to tell" if the diesel market will be weighed down by Volkswagen's situation. The German automaker admitted to cheating on emissions tests to make its diesel-powered cars appear to run cleaner than they actually do in real-world situations. The ensuing outrage forced longtime VW chief executive Martin Winterkorn to step down and prompted a reorganization of the company, which faces legal and regulatory action around the world. Still, Eberhardt maintains JLR is "very confident" in its diesels, which are part of its strategy to grow sales around the world. Land Rover has experienced rapid growth under the ownership of Indian conglomerate, Tata Motors, while Jaguar is set to revitalize its lineup with new entries like the XE and F-Pace to reach a broader market segment.
Jaguar Land Rover moves closer to building Slovakia plant
Tue, Aug 11 2015Jaguar Land Rover has announced its intention to build a new assembly plant in Slovakia. Though it has yet to make the final decision, the British automaker has signed a Letter of Intent with the Slovakian government. Its next step is to launch a feasibility study before committing. If the company does go ahead with plans, it wouldn't be the first automaker – or even the first European luxury automaker for that matter – to start producing in Slovakia. Nor would it be the first Jaguar Land Rover plant outside the UK, either. The Volkswagen Group, PSA Peugeot Citroen, and Kia all manufacture in the Central European country. VW's Bratislava plant in particular handles production of the Touareg, Audi Q7, and Porsche Cayenne. In the past few years, JLR has expanded its production capacity to new locations outside of the UK. It has a new factory in China, one under construction in Brazil, and has been manufacturing in India – home country of its parent company Tata – since 2011. It recently announced a manufacturing contract with Magna Steyr in Austria, and is investing in its facilities back home as well. Though yet to be finalized, the prospect of manufacturing in Slovakia has proven more favorable to JLR than other locations in Europe or in the United States or Mexico – all possibilities that the company says it looked into. It has yet to reveal just what it would produce there, saying only that "the plant would manufacture a range of aluminium Jaguar Land Rover vehicles," that the plant would be earmarked to come online in 2018 and eventually ramp up production to 300,000 vehicles. The prevailing wisdom would seem to indicate, however, that the site is being considered for the next-generation Land Rover Defender. 2024 Jaguar F-Pace makes more style standard equipment
Sat, Dec 24 2022Jaguar has overhauled its F-Pace offer for global markets, moving the rest of the world to the 2024 model year before the end of 2022. For countries that get the F-Pace P400e PHEV, the good news is the lithium-ion battery's been given an extra cell module to increase capacity to 19.2 kWh. That takes pure electric range from 33 miles to 40 miles on the WLTP cycle. Jaguar says this trim accounts for more than 10% of F-Pace sales globally, a healthy tally considering North America accounts for perhaps a third of global sales and Jaguar doesn't offer its flagship PHEV here yet. In countries that favor electrified vehicles like the Netherlands, Jaguar says uptake can reach 98%. The rest of the F-Pace range has been reworked so that every model gets the R-Dynamic trim package, eliminating the base F-Pace and F-Pace S. In full-featured markets, the trim step from bottom to top goes, R-Dynamic S on 19-inch wheels, R-Dynamic SE on 20-inch wheels, R-Dynamic HSE on 21-inch wheels, 400 SPORT and SVR both on 22-inch wheels, plus a choice of six engines. If this change is applied to our market, we'll be left with the F-Pace R-Dynamic S and F-Pace SVR, and two engines. New standard equipment means better spec for some versions, a TFT digital gauge cluster and the Pivi Pro infotainment system part of the purchase price. The infotainment comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, what3words navigation and Alexa integration. The R-Dynamic SE comes with wireless charging, the R-Dynamic HSE now comes with an Ebony Suedecloth headliner standard. If opting for the Black Pack on models that don't come with it, more external bits are drenched in the dark gloss: grille and grille surround, side mirror caps, fender vents, window surrounds, rear valance and rear badges. Detail changes include wheel center caps going monochrome black and silver instead of red and silver, and the R-Dynamic badge going monochrome black and gray instead of red and green. The 2024 F-Pace can be ordered now outside of North America. Jaguar should let us know soon what goodness we'll be getting. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
