RELISTING DUE TO BUYER BACKING OUT LAST MINUTE. PLEASE, ONLY SERIOUS BUYERS!! $15,300/BO. LAST TIME RELISTING OR WILL JUST TRADE-IN TO JAGUAR DEALERSHIP. ANY REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE CONSIDERED. I'm selling my 2005 Supercharged S-Type R, a two owner car with a clean title & no accidents that only has 43K. Adult driven & garaged since new. Car is in excellent condition (with the exception of 1 rim having curb rash - please see pics), its magnetic red with absolutely mint two-tone leather interior (no one has even sat in the back seats). Purchased two years ago with the intent of enjoying a family sports car with amazing performance, however due to health related issues, I haven't been able to drive the car that often (although I do start it every other day to keep it running right). Note: Car failed at DMV for emissions with the code P0171(running lean), most likely due to sitting around & not being driven often. I got a new vacuum line, cleaned out the air filter and cleaned the MAF with MAF spray cleaner and the indicator light simply turned off. Nothing wrong with the car mechanically at all, I would just give the car a tune-up since it doesn't get driven often. The car is absolutely beautiful & my loss will become someone else's gain! My 72 year old dad wanted to buy the car from me but it's just TOO MUCH car for him! Car is being sold way below the average price here on ebay, all other R's on here have almost double the mileage and are asking $18k or more; I'm starting the bid at $16,500!! Bid with confidence as we are honest people. Anyone local is welcomed to come see & drive the car in person. Car comes with a brand new Bosch Battery(just installed), custom car cover, 3 key fob & original owners manual. 4.2 Liter Supercharged V8 Engine Producing 390 HP Car is being sold as is. Reserve the right to end this auction early as also advertising locally. Willing to help arrange shipping only within the United States. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking. |

Jaguar rolls out 2014 XJ updates
Tue, 20 Aug 2013It may be an uphill battle with Mercedes-Benz having rolled out its all-new S-Class, but in an effort to entice more customers towards its flagship sedan, Jaguar has announced a series of enhancements for the XJ.
A number of upgrades aim to make the long-wheelbase model that much more accommodating, with new airline-style rear seats that recline, massage and optimize the headroom in the back. The rear suspension has also been recalibrated for comfort, and there's a new optional Meridian sound system with a Conversation Assist feature that uses microphones in the headliner to pick up occupants' voices and pipe them through the speakers to support the art of conversation in motion.
The engine range carries over unchanged, but each engine is now mated to an eight-speed automatic with an available stop/start system which Jaguar says takes less time to restart the engine than it takes for the driver to move his or her right foot from brake to gas. Full details in the press release below.
SVR plans to tune electrified Jaguar-Land Rover models, but not the I-Pace
Sun, May 24 2020Jaguar-Land Rover's SVR division has only put its name on high-horsepower gasoline-burning cars, like the XE Project 8 built in strictly limited numbers. It's open to the idea of tuning electrified models, whether they're electric or hybrid, but it confirmed it's not currently planning on making a spicier evolution of the I-Pace. "We will be developing electrified versions of our cars, be that fully electrified or plug-in hybrids," affirmed Michael van der Sande, the division's managing director, in an interview with Auto Express. But although the electric I-Pace (pictured) raced in a one-make race series held on the sidelines of Formula E events for two seasons, and SVR could credibly claim to inject track DNA into a street car, it stressed the I-Pace doesn't appear in its product plans for reasons that remain a little bit murky. Jaguar announced the end of the eTrophy series in May 2020, which might explain why it's reluctant to exploit racing's marketing power. "There are other various things we are working on which we can't talk about, but we're very interested in electrification. That's why we got involved in eTrophy," van der Sande clarified. "The technology transfer, the learning applies to that car and other cars but we're not planning an SVR I-Pace at the moment." His comments confirm we'll need to be patient to see what SVR's take on an electric or hybrid car looks like. One of the first electrified models to receive the go-fast treatment might be the next-generation XJ tentatively scheduled to make its debut before the end of 2020. It will be exclusively electric, though it won't look as radical as the I-Pace, so Jaguar will need to find a way to replace the hot-rodded XJR 575 model it positioned at the top of the last-generation model's line-up. It's not too far-fetched to speculate the next Range Rover also due out in the coming months will receive some degree of electrification, and it could spawn an SVR-tuned model, too. Related Video:
Jaguar lets first outsiders drive new F-Type
Mon, 17 Dec 2012What do you do when you're an automaker with an all-new and brand-defining sports car, one of them with a supercharged V8 cranking out 495 horsepower? You let proven race drivers test them out on track and on the road.
And what do you do if you're Jaguar and you're in that situation? Why, naturally, you make a video of it. That's how we get footage of racers Martin Brundle, Justin Bell and Christian Danner being choppered into the UK's Snetterton track to test the V6-equipped Jaguar F-Type S prototype. Then when they're finished with kerb-lined apexes, they take the V8 S prototype out onto the roads to run it through hedge-lined apexes.
According to one of them, "very fast, very nimble, great engine" is what will soon be headed our way. Check it out in the video below.
