I bought this beautiful car here on Ebay in October last year. I live in an area where they salt the roads during the winter, so I did not drive it all winter. This spring, I've put less than 1000 miles on the car. So everything I know about the car is based on what I was told when I bought it, or what I've discovered about it in this short time.
The car has 125,xxx miles on it, but cosmetically you wouldn't know it. There are no wrecks on the carfax.
Exterior:
The bad first: there is a split in the front air-dam, passenger side. This hides nicely, but there'll be no surprises. Otherwise, the paint is very-good, with only a minor chip or scratch here and there. Not what one would expect of a car with over 100k miles. A previous owner had the factory staggered-fitment wheels chromed. They look good from 50', but as you get closer, the chrome is peeling. The tires are brand-new Continental Extreme Contact DWS. All glass is good, all lights work. The rear spoiler has been wrapped in a 3M DiNoc wrap.
Interior:
The interior is likewise very, very nice. Even the Driver's bolster, where leather seats tend to show age, is pristine. NO BLEMISHES, cracks, stains, un-stitched seams or anything of the sort. The leather is as nice as I've ever seen. The carpets are in good condition as well, with no bare-spots or worn areas. There is a professionally-installed, integrated entertainment system in the car, with a DVD player in the glove-box, and screens / Game Consoles in the headrests. Also included with the entertainment system is a 120v power receptacle in the rear console. The headliner is in very good condition. This has NOT been a smoker's car.
Mechanically:
We'll get to the motor below.
The Transmission appears to have been professionally serviced, as the pan and hardware is newer. (Any who are familiar with these transmissions will know that the filter is part of the pan, such that you cannot replace the filter without replacing the pan). The trans was very crisp, with none of the issues that are frequently associated with these transmissions: no lurch, no squonk. Shifts perfectly. The CATS Suspension also seems to have been serviced (replaced?) recently, as the shocks are a bright color, and the CATS system works BEAUTIFULLY. Brakes are great. I've had no reason to look into them. Basically: EVERYTHING ON THIS CAR WORKS PERFECTLY. (except the motor)
The Motor:
The motor was running very strongly, but had a minor "vibration" that I was trying to decide if it was motor or mount. One day it became a "rattle', and then immediately a "thunk-thunk". I have not had the motor apart, but the hole in the block and the rod-bolt in the belly-pan tell the story: You'll need a new motor. All of the ancillary equipment is good: Supercharger, Compressor, Alternator, Etc Etc Etc. I have sourced (but not yet purchased) a used, complete long-block. Mileage and condition is unknown. If you'd like me to help you with that, I can include it for $600 over the winning auction price.
The car is located in Salt Lake City. I am happy to work with your shipper. The title is clear. Please buy this from me, so I don't need to part it out. (If I'm going to spend the time parting-it, I might as well spend the time repairing it. But I don;t have the time to do either.)

2021 Jaguar XF First Drive Review | The final saloon to wear a Leaper?
Thu, May 27 2021The 2021 Jaguar XF has arrived. After a series of pandemic-related delays, Jaguar Land Rover’s latest models have finally started appearing stateside, ready to find their way into the waiting hands of buyers thirsting for options after a year of economic uncertainty. Like just about everything else in the Jaguar lineup, however, the XF was also subjected to a dramatic tidying-up for the 2021 model year that leaves it cheaper, simpler and, sadly, quite a bit less exciting. While JaguarÂ’s crossovers get new powertrain options as part of a simultaneous future-proofing effort, the big upgrade for the 2021 XF is an overhauled cabin. Just about every visible component in the XFÂ’s interior is new for 2021. The 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system gets a swanky new magnesium frame to go with its complete software overhaul. The new system plays nicely with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and is capable of over-the-air updates. Jaguar has also added a number of standard features including proximity entry, wireless phone charging, active noise cancellation, a surround-view camera system and a 12-speaker Meridian sound system, all for $45,145.00 – about 10 grand cheaper than a base Audi A6, Volvo S90, Mercedes E-Class or BMW 5 Series. ThereÂ’s bad with the good, however. In case you missed it, the XF is now JaguarÂ’s only sedan, and the downsides donÂ’t end there for four-door fans. Jaguar not only got rid of its other sedans, it also pared down the XF to just a handful of variants. Wagon? Nope. Bigger engines? Nuh-uh. In 2020, Jaguar offered 10 different versions of the XF; this year, that number is three: P250 S RWD, P250 SE RWD and P300 R-Dynamic SE AWD. Helpfully, Jaguar names its models for their engine output figures (in PS, not HP, mind you). The P250 variants make 246 American horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque and are offered exclusively with rear-wheel drive; the P300 R-Dynamic SE picks up another 50 horses and 27 lb-ft, along with an extra pair of driven wheels. Both utilize an eight-speed ZF automatic; both get the same size front and rear brakes. And thatÂ’s it. No six- or eight-cylinder variants. If you want more fun, look into an F-Pace. Welcome to 2021. If you were hoping for a redeeming description of a slimmed-down, lightweight XFÂ’s sporty driving dynamics right about now, sorry, youÂ’re not getting that either.
Jaguar F-Type SVR graphics package makes it look like the Project 7
Mon, Mar 5 2018If you missed out on buying a Jaguar F-Type Project 7 roadster a few years ago, Jaguar will now offer a way to get the next best thing. It's rolling out a new graphics package for the F-Type SVR that adds a set of stripes and contrasting accents that are very reminiscent of the special Project 7 and the race cars that inspired it. And since the current SVR makes the same power as the Project 7, you won't be missing out on much except the custom bodywork. Across the hood and fenders are similar horizontal stripes that only really differ in how the number "575" is included. This number represents the car's 575 horsepower. The front stripes are joined by more on the sideskirts and mirrors, with those on the sideskirts also getting the 575 designation. The stripes are complemented by a grille surround and wing end caps finished with the same color as the stripes. Jaguar will offer the graphics package in six color combinations. It can be had in white with red stripes, black with gold stripes, grey with blue stripes, red with black stripes, blue with grey stripes, or silver with black stripes. Also, while it will be a no-cost option overseas, it will add a bit to the cost of North American examples. Jaguar didn't say how much the option will be here, though. 2018 Jaguar XE S AWD Drivers' Notes | Don't stop me now ...
Fri, Dec 15 2017The 2018 Jaguar XE S AWD plays in a tough segment. The relative newcomer jumps into the fray with the BMW 3 Series, the Mercedes-Benz C Class, Audi A4 and Cadillac ATS. While it's available with a number of engine and drivetrain combinations, this model came with the top-tier 380-horsepower supercharged V6, the same one found in the Jaguar F-Type. It transforms the XE from a calm but capable sport sedan into a real hotrod. Our test car had nearly all the bells and whistles Jaguar offers. The Firenze Red paint was accented by blacked-out trim, giving it a far cooler look than the standard chrome brightwork does. The interior features red-and-black heated and ventilated leather seats, carbon-fiber trim, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and more. It comes with adaptive cruise control, but, as we learned, you need to scrape all the ice off the sensors for it to play ball. Associate Editor Reese Counts: I have a love/hate relationship with snow. I utterly despise the white stuff when it's 6:30 a.m. and I'm digging out my driveway and dreaming of the warm pillow I left behind as my pants slowly soak through and the fine motor control in my fingers decides to call it quits. Then I get behind the heated steering wheel of something like the XE S AWD and all my anger fades behind the plume of snow being thrown up by the tires. Sport sedans in the winter are amazing. I'm a big fan of the XE. Our old long-term diesel was a great little sedan, even if not everyone agreed with my sentiments. This platform is capable of so much more than the diesel can deliver. The XE S ditches that car's fuel-efficient-but-clattery oil burner for the sweet soundtrack of a supercharged V6, the same one that's under the hood of our current long-term F-Pace S. It's paired with ZF's ubiquitous eight-speed automatic and sends 380 horsepower to all four wheels. It feels damn near unstoppable in the snow. I'll be honest, I was flat-footing the car everywhere I went. I was searching for unplowed roads or empty parking lots because I just wanted to make the car dance. The all-wheel-drive system is rear biased, giving you enough of a leash to let loose without spinning out. The throttle response from the V6 was smooth and instant. It was easy to manage the car's angle just using the gas. The XE S was so good at clawing its way through the snow, I was convinced it was wearing winter rubber until I looked and saw a set of Pirelli all-seasons.
