Listing for my father a beautiful 2003 Jaguar S-Type. This model year was the first year for many of the important mechanical and cosmetic updates for this vehicle. This car is equipped with the absolutely bulletproof 3.0 litre V-6 and ZF 6HP automatic transmission. This vehicle has been maintained to perfection and all known issues with this model have already been addressed which include the following: Cooling system has been completely replaced with the exception of the heater core (expansion tank, spider hose/thermostat, coolant control valve and radiator, coolant flushed). Intake manifold tuning valve o-rings, upper and lower intake gaskets, spark plugs, fuel filter. Transmission electrical sleeve, transmission pan (with integrated filter), transmission oil cooler lines. Suspension is free from clunks, rattles or ride quality issues, vehicle does not pull or drift. All maintenance has been done on time and as specified by Jaguar. No check engine light, warning lights or any electrical issues. The exterior is free from any major blemishes with only minor scrapes and dings as expected from a daily driven 10 year old car. Interior is in almost perfect condition it would be hard to find flaw in the interior even if looking for one. The only problem with this car is the left rear power door lock does not work, to find that as the most major flaw of a car this old with the mileage accrued is a testament as to how well this car was built. This car has never left my father broken down in the 6 years he's owned it and the many road trips it has been on. Get in this car, turn the key and drive it anywhere. Car is listed locally and we have the right to terminate the auction if sold. Vehicle is being sold with no warranty expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping. Cash or certified funds only.

Watch Jaguar build its XJR Rapid Response Vehicle for Bloodhound SSC
Fri, Jun 19 2015Last month, Jaguar revealed an F-Type specially equipped to serve as a Rapid Response Vehicle for the Bloodhound SSC. Now it's rolled out a pair of XJRs kitted out for the same purpose. Set to debut when test pilot Andy Green drives one up the hill at Goodwood later this month, the Jaguar XJR Rapid Response Vehicle has been equipped by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division. As you can see, it's got a special livery of blue and orange to mimic the rocket- and jet-powered streamliner's own color scheme, and has been stripped out and fitted with a roll cage and specially crafted tools for the land speed record attempt. Of course, the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 carries over with its 550 horsepower to propel it to 60 in 4.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 174 miles per hour. Alongside the F-Type – which recently undertook a parachute deployment test – the pair of XJR Rapid Response Vehicles will be on hand in South Africa when the Bloodhound attempts to break the land speed record as well as the sound barrier on dry land. Check out the build process in the video. JustDrive will allegedly deliver on the long-promised idea of natural communication between driver and car.
Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.
Why Land Rover's reluctant to show concepts: Chinese clones
Thu, Oct 19 2017While the Chinese auto industry continues to grow and expand with new and original products, a number of automakers still refuse to play by the rules. Rather than coming up with original designs, these automakers shamelessly copy designs from other automakers, slapping their badge on the front as if it were an original product. According to Auto Express, Land Rover has grown tired of dealing with these frauds to the point that it's essentially stopped showing concept cars in order to stave off these clones. One of the most notable and brazen examples of these Chinese copycats is the LandWind X7. While that car looks like an obvious ripoff of the Range Rover Evoque, complaints by Jaguar Land Rover were dismissed, and the X7 hit the market for about a third of the price of the Evoque. Further efforts by JLR have done nothing to halt or change the car's production. It seems Chinese authorities are more interested in protecting the home team than upholding copyright laws. Land Rover design boss Gerry McGovern said the automaker was "wary of showing new concepts" because they just give these competitors time to work up a copy. Land Rover's latest model, the Velar, debuted in Geneva in production form. Skipping concepts may not stop competitors from making copies, but it does give Land Rover a huge head start when it comes to production.
