1967 Jaguar E-Type Roadster.

This is a private party sale.  I am not a car dealer, car flipper, or otherwise.  I purchased this car in 2011 from a friend, who at the time did not want to sell it, but had too.  Good for me, right.  He had purchased the car from a local Southern California owner who had kept the car in storage for about 20 years.   There are a few limited paper records indicating its California History.

When I purchased the car, it had not been run in what I assume was 20-plus years.  The engine turned freely.  The car needed brake work.    I recently sent the car to a local English car repair shop and did the following:

Remove, flush and reinstall fuel tank

Rebuild Front and Rear Brake Calipers with SS Sleeves

            Fluid and Filter Change

            Other misc. gaskets, etc.

The car runs good.  It starts right up and does not smoke when cold or warm.  The car is running a little rich, but since I have not done a carb rebuild yet, its expected.  Since its return from the shop I have driven the car about 15-Miles.  The car needs tires as it has been sitting.  I drove it around town a bit but never on the highway.

Since taking the photos, I have removed the luggage rack (included with sale.)

The car includes a complete trim kit with all rubber, interior kit (Black) etc.  The trim kit came with the car, however, I am unclear as to the age or condition.  It all seems to be in order, but some parts may be missing and I don’t guarantee fit or condition.  Consider it a bonus.

I have not located any rust on this car.   There is some rust around the battery tray as to be expected.  I can remove batter and provide additional photos if desired.  The floors are solid and original.  As you can see from the photos, someone has used a floor jack to lift the car, and didn’t place it in the correct spot causing the floors to dome upward.  So, they are solid but they need to be corrected, but shouldn’t be a big expense. There are door dings as seen in the photos.  Most are on the passenger side.

The car appears to have two repaints covering the factory silver-grey paint.  There is a blue paint job under the current Burgundy Metallic.

To make it a driver,  at minimum, I would proceed with the following:

Carb Rebuild and Sycn

Address Oil Leaks (no large puddles, but there are some drip marks on floor)

Clutch Replacement

This vehicle is offered as is where is with no warranty written or implied.  I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge and ability.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the car to satisfy themselves as to the condition of the car.  The car is available for inspection with advance notice.

Please ask any questions before bidding.  I will provide additional photos and answer all questions to the best of my ability.

Please note, this is not a stress sale.  I am not interested in low-ball offers, or trades.  Please don’t waste either of our time.

Payment is to be made in full within 10-days of close of auction.  A $5,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24-hours of close of auction.  Deposit can be made via Wire Transfer, or Cash, I do not accept paypal.   The car must be removed within 15-days of close of auction. Payment to be Cash or Wire Transfer.  Any check, even if a Bank Check or Cashiers Check is not an acceptable form of payment.

90th Anniversary Edition signals end of Jaguar F-Pace in Europe

Fri, May 17 2024

Jaguar is gradually paring down its global range of models as it prepares to start from scratch in a bid to move upmarket. After the XE and the F-Type, it's the F-Pace's turn to sign off in many countries. Launched in 2016, the company's first SUV — and one of its all-time best-selling models — will retire from the European market later in 2024 with a limited-edition model called 90th Anniversary Edition. No, the F-Pace isn't turning 90; the name is a reference to nine decades of Jaguar's internal-combustion engines. Based on the R-Dynamic version, the commemorative SUV gets an edition-specific exterior emblem on the hatch and not much else. It features the same blacked-out trim as the R-Dynamic, and Jaguar notes that buyers have several options to choose from including a panoramic roof and tinted windows. Inside, you'll find sport seats for the front passengers, contrast stitching, and aluminum trim. The S, SE and HSE trim levels can be ordered with the 90th Anniversary package, and the SUV is on sale now in several global markets. We won't get it in the United States, however. "We have not announced end of production or the final model year [for the F-Pace on the American market]. [Production of] the F-Pace will continue in our Solihull plant for the foreseeable future," a spokesperson for the British company told Autoblog via email. Now what? We'll need to be patient to find out what's next. Jaguar has announced plans to shift up a notch or two in the industry's pecking order to take on Bentley, among other brands; as it stands, it's positioned on about the same level as BMW and Mercedes-Benz. This bold move will be accompanied by a shift toward an electric-only range of models. Earlier rumors have detailed three models: a sporty sedan aimed at the Porsche Taycan, a more luxury-focused sedan about as long as the now-retired Bentley Mulsanne, and a big SUV aimed at the Bentayga. If everything goes according to plan, the first of these three models will land in 2025 on a new, purpose-designed architecture. Until then, with the F-Pace nearly out of the picture the global Jaguar range will consist of the electric I-Pace, the E-Pace crossover and the XF sedan. 1964 Jaguar XKE slinks into Jay Leno's Garage

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

The idea of altering a classic Jaguar E-Type might seem preposterous to some, but Jasen Len of XKs Unlimited managed to create a modified 1964 E-Type that stays true to the Jag's timeless design. Just a few months after Jay Leno featured his own original E-Type on Jay Leno's Garage, Len stopped by to show off his custom Jaguar creation.
Starting out with a rust-ravaged body, Len made the car just the way he wanted it to be. He started off with some minor changes to the car's exterior like the Le Mans-inspired racing lights and handmade front bumpers, handmade sills with integrated exhaust and flared rear fenders. Inside, he dropped the floor to make more interior space and reworked the E-Type's styling for more of a modern look. We have to say, if you're going to mess with a Series 1 E-Type, this is the way to do it.
Sadly, even though Len and Leno spend plenty of time talking about the car's 300-horsepower 3.8-liter inline six-cylinder, we never get to hear the car fire up. Check out the JLG video, which is posted below, and as a bonus, enjoy the gallery from Jaguar showing a 1961 E-Type.

Jaguar teases four-door EV grand tourer; electric Range Rover orders open this year

Wed, Apr 19 2023

Jaguar just revealed a few vital details about a new EV it says will be revealed by the end of 2023, and Land Rover shared a little update about its upcoming electric Range Rover, too. Starting with the Jag, JLR — the new, official name for Jaguar Land Rover — announced that its next electric vehicle will be a four-door GT car. The image above is the teaser the company provided. Power output will be greater than any previous Jaguar, with the current record holder being the XE SV Project 8 at just over 590 horsepower. Range is claimed to be about 430 miles on a full charge (Jaguar doesn't specify the test cycle type), but that number could be different (and likely lower) here in the United States once EPA testing takes place. Jaguar says the grand tourer will debut its new in-house EV platform that is officially named JEA, which is unrelated to the electric XJ that was scrapped a couple years ago. And lastly, Jaguar says the vehicle will start at GBP100,000 in Great Britain. Pricing for the United States wasnÂ’t estimated, but a direct conversion at todayÂ’s rates puts it at about $124,000. Considering the price point, power level and range, this Jaguar is shaping up to be a potential Porsche Taycan competitor. The single teaser image at the top of this post suggests the same, as the photo shows a car with a fast-sloping roofline and wide, bulging fenders. ItÂ’s an exciting teaser, as it pretty much confirms that Jaguar will be coming in hot with a spicy-looking electric four-door. The last detail about this Jag confirmed today is its production site, as Jaguar says it will build the vehicle at its Solihull plant in the West Midlands, England. As for the Range Rover news, weÂ’ve known an electric Range Rover was on its way, now we know that the vehicle will launch in 2025. JLR says it will begin accepting orders for the electric Range Rover later this year, but didnÂ’t set an official date. The electric Range Rover will be built at JLRÂ’s Halewood plant in Merseyside, England. Those are all the details we know about today, but expect more teasers and information leading up to the reveal of these new EVs later in 2023. Related video: This content is hosted by a third party.
