1987 Barn Find Isuzu P/up W/ Only 69,033 Actual Miles on 2040-cars
Boulder City, Nevada, United States
|
Here is a great little barn find with only 69,033 original miles! My buddy won this at a auction with the Salvation Army. Here is a little background information on the truck! Carfax puts this vehicle in service in 1992 which tells me that the vehicle was bought in 1992 as a brand new vehicle after sitting on the lot. Please note we have orig Hayward Lic plate frame
It was purchased in Hayward, CA at Hayward Isuzu. An older Japanese male purchased the vehicle and as you can tell kept it in great condition. After hitting a pile of cement or plaster, it was time to hang up the keys. So he donated the vehicle to the Salvation Army and the rest is history. Here is what the next buyer will get! Motor: 4 cylinder all stock Transmission: automatic standard Interior: space cab (for people that are not aware this means extra cab), jump seats in the rear, cargo cover for the rear area, seat belts at each jump seat, sliding back window, floor shifter, dash in perfect condition no cracks, interior looks to be in near perfect condition, all items work right down to the cigarette lighter, A/C blows cold (motor fan non-op), Isuzu floor mats, AM/FM cassette works great, power steering, power brakes Exterior: few small dents and scratches, dent and pushed in bumper on right front corner, tires at 80%, original center hub caps, space cab logo on body perfect along with space cab on port windows As you can see the vehicle was stored most of its life indoors. If you're looking for a first vehicle for your child it's perfect! Feel free to fly in and drive it home or pay for my airfare and costs and I will drive it to you. That is how reliable I believe this truck to be. Disclaimer! I try to be up front on all vehicles that I list. The above statement is offered by the current owner. It is the buyer's responsibility to ask ALL questions before placing a bid. Any questions please feel free to contact Joe at fourjsco@cox.net or by phone at 702-400-9276. All vehicles are sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. Please take note, you are buying an older vehicle that at some point will need repairs. Thank you. |

Porsche revives Pink Pig and Rothman's liveries for Le Mans
Tue, Jun 5 2018Long-time fans of Porsche, particularly its motorsports history, are in for a treat at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company took two of its 911 RSR race cars and gave each of them a famous color scheme from the past. The designs are part of the company's 70th anniversary celebration. The first and most unusual paint scheme is a modern rendition of the "Pink Pig." The design was used on a Porsche 917/20 in 1971. Just like the original, it's finished in a pale shade of pink with dotted lines marking out sections of the car. Each of these sections has a label for a different cut of meat from a pig. The other livery isn't as strange, but it's no less recognizable. It features a blue, red and gold color scheme of tobacco company Rothmans. Rothmans was a sponsor of many racing Porsches over the years, and the colors appeared on everything from Le Mans racers to the Paris-Dakar 959. This version on the 911 RSR notably lacks any tobacco branding or advertising. The two 911s with the retro colors will be competing alongside 8 additional 911s with more modern liveries. They will compete in the GTE classes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
Junkyard Gem: 1990 Geo Storm
Sun, Jun 25 2023General Motors began selling rebadged Isuzus in the United States all the way back in 1972, when the Isuzu Faster pickup showed up here as the Chevrolet LUV. A few years after Isuzu began selling vehicles in North America under its own branding, The General began selling Isuzu I-Marks as Chevrolet Spectrums; when the time came to create the Geo division to sell badge-engineered Suzukis, Toyotas and Isuzus here, the Chevy Spectrum became a Geo and a sport compact based on the Isuzu Piazza appeared in Geo dealerships as the Storm. Today's Junkyard Gem is a first-model-year example of the Storm, found with lots of miles and plenty of rust in a Denver-area car graveyard recently. Isuzu began selling this car as the second-generation Impulse for the 1991 model year. Few American car shoppers were interested in that car, but the Storm sold well. For the 1991 model year, a "Wagonback" version of the Storm was added to the lineup. The Storm was discontinued after 1993, and Geo itself got the axe in 1997. The 130-horsepower GSi version of the Storm was one of the best quickness-per-dollar deals of its era, but this car is the base Storm with just 95 SOHC horses under its hood. An automatic transmission was available, but this car has the standard five-speed manual. How much did it cost new? The list price was $10,390, or about $24,741 in 2023 dollars. This one got well past 200,000 miles during its career. The rust is nasty. This car might have been a runner at the end, but corrosion plus high miles, manual transmission and defunct brand all conspired to send it to this place. This content is hosted by a third party. The JDM headlights definitely looked better than the sealed-beams we got here.
Junkyard Gem: 1990 Geo Storm GSi
Thu, Dec 6 2018General Motors created the Geo division in 1989, to sell rebadged Suzukis, Toyotas, and Isuzus in the United States. Most of these cars were snoresville econoboxes, but two Geo models got high-performance upgrades and GSi badging: the Prizm GSi (aka Toyota Corolla GT-S) and the Storm GSi (aka Isuzu Impulse). We saw a discarded Prizm GSi in this series last year, and now it's the Storm GSi's turn, with this '90 in a Phoenix self-service yard. The Storm GSi had a DOHC four-cylinder Isuzu engine making 130 horsepower, which was excellent for a 1990 car weighing a mere 2,392 pounds. The 2,174-pound 1990 Honda CRX Si had a mere 108 horsepower (and two seats), and it cost $11,130 versus the Storm GSi's just-slightly-higher $11,650 price tag. Of course, Isuzus never developed quite the reputation for reliability enjoyed by Hondas. This Isuzu notched up an impressive final mileage figure, though. The Storm sold for just the 1990 through 1993 model years, and the GSi still has a devoted following to this day. The interior is straight-up late-1980s-style Japanese-econobox stuff, with plenty of tough gray plastic. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences.
